Yep, it was crazy, and yep, I did the same stuff when I was your age. Bottom line, it worked. I have an old bobcat that I'm going to use to lift the roadster onto my rotissierie. I know that this is a year old but I hope you have had great success with that car.

A good way to lift it up easily is to use farm jacks but they can be quite tippy. I have used them before to lift a mgb to get to rear axle out.
