    My favorite advice from my couch as a kid... may sound simple but goes a long way... "shoulder to shoulder with your chin". Meaning, always start with your chin tucked along the front shoulder and it always ends along the back shoulder with the swing. Keeps your eye on the ball and keeps the head from moving out. Kudos to the father here for drilling to make sure the head isnt moving because the swing will too.

  • @joesph9748
    @joesph9748 3 года назад +15

    This is a day in the life for becoming great at anything - constant drilling on the basics. Young man really swings the bat well,fast hands. As a fielder very light on his feet and quick. In my opinion you are pausing too long between the catch and throw - watch the video, after almost every catch you look down at the ball. This was something I also did and had to work hard to get a faster but still consistent release. Good luck

    You should always hit center/away/ inside the ball unless the pull hit drill suggests otherwise. Pull hitters are an easy out and easy to pitch to. Especially at the major level. Stay back on the ball, quit throwing your hands, keep the bottom elbow tight, and rotate. Create space and keep the hands behind you.
