Lool, i can relate about weight n ur health status in Nigeria. I had ulcer and I was skinny. 9ja doctor, ‘go and eat. That’s y u have ulcer. Are u trying to run for a pageant?’ 🙄 American doctor, ‘we should test u 4 a bacteria linked to ulcer’ Me: took antibiotics. Ulcer gone. Many years later. Headline in Nigeria: bacteria is linked to ulcer. 🙄 God save Nigeria.
Thank you so much for sharing your story. It really calls into attention the health care situation in this country, and that it's not just the infrastructure and working conditions but even the personnel. Once had a chronic skin ailment and I went from doctor to doctor to no avail. Finally just decided to google and read that all I should do was just to avoid bathing with soap on the affected areas and to use a water based moisturiser, and what had plagued me for months went in a week! We have a long way to go in this country especially as regards health care and I hope we get there eventually. Again thanks for sharing your story and to God be the glory.
OMG!!!!!! I’m in tears right now I can’t believe you have been through all this. I thank God it’s all over and you are back to your regular self I wish you all the best in your daily endeavors Loads of love 💕💕💕💕💕
Thank you for sharing your testimony. Glory to God. It is wonderful to hear you glorifying God through you struggle. Keep on Keeping on. Looking forward to part 2
oooh why did you end it like that na?? I was glued to my laptop! I'm so happy you're ok. Shout out to all the wonderful mums out there, I don't know what we'd do without them. Love your channel!
This is incredible. Even more amazing is the fact that I was in Atlanta 2013/2014 going through some struggles thinking the world was against me meanwhile you were in that same city fighting for you life, pretty much. Wow!! And look how far God has brought you? Is it too cheesy to call it The Rebirth of Abimbola?
I’m happy I saw this. The fact weight is always attributed to whatever happens to you sickens me. Agreed that weight can be an issue but how is the case presented to the patient. You don’t just make them feel bad for being big. Most of us were born big. I had multiple fractures when I was much younger around 11/12 I had to have 3 surgeries to correct it up until I was 16. That was the HARDEST part of my life. My family was always there too. Missed a lot of school that time but I came out the STRONGEST. OMO GOD AMAZED ME EHN.
I can totally relate to the incompetence of some medical personnel in Nigeria... Came back last year and I'm still shocked at the state of things in the medical sector. Thanks for sharing your story, thank God for the presence of strong mothers and women of faith in our lives; waiting patiently for part 2... God bless you Abimbola!
Thanks for sharing your story. It might help someone. I am a 2 time cancer survivor. Bowel in 2013 and lungs in 2016. It was really tough especially with a young family but by His grace I am very well now and you would not know if I don’t tell you. I live in the UK so it helps without the financial constraints. It’s very tough mentally though. I pray you are completely healed in Jesus name.
You are a young lady I have come to admire so much because of your level of intelligence and professionalism on Skinny Girl in Transit and simply because that's who you are in real life, you cant give what you don't have. I watch this video again about your battles with the tumor and what have you and further solidifies the fact that everyone has struggles and you are just amazing with how you go about yours. God blessing resides with you forever. Your fan.
I really do not know what to say, ur story is a testimony for me. I have battled with same case for 4 years, have taken lots of drugs yet to no avail although the doctor said its galactorrhea... am tired of all these drugs, pls help a sister and finally am so so happy for u. much love.
Awww I admire your courage to share the experience. Pituitary gland is in the central area of the brain. Thank God you had all the opportunities available to resolve the issue.
You are such a strong woman Abimbola, and so is your mum. Praising God on your behalf! 🙏🏾 You will live long in divine health and prosperity in Jesus’s name, amen. Now, off to go watch part 2
Thank you so much for sharing. I’m honestly really glad that things worked out for you because you’re such a beautiful soul. And I pray your light never fades
This is really educative but it shows that the Nigerian health sector needs refurbishing. Same thing happened to me during my surgery, I answered my name and next thing I was awake, no dream, no nothing, surgery done.
Wow 😢 you have been tru a lot and thanks for sharing your journey with us. It is definitely going to give strength to someone out there. Can't wait for part two. Be safe Bimbo.
I saw a tweet that said if you studied in Nigeria you prolly wouldn't be able to comprehend things and so on... see Abimbola here she even went to a public school and she speaks so good ‼️❤️
You are a woman strong woman, Thank God for your life. Everything thing you do and say reminds me of my late sister. I will love for you to be my mentor but I all the way in the United States.

You are so strong, and even though i can't say i understand what you went through , i feel your frustration on nigerian doctor's obsession with obesity, i also was misdiagnosed for years because of my weight.
I bless God for you Abimbola.God bless mummy n keep her in good health for long. I don't get why some doctors here in Nigeria will always wrap one's weight around an ailment.Well,be quick with the part 2 😉

Hi, Bimbo your story just tells that one should be more observant of their body. I also had a non invasive surgery too to remove my gallbladder because i had gall stones.
If i was in Nigeria, i don't think i could ever be telling the story now... but do you still have some headaches here and there? I do i guess i have to revisit the hospital again bcuz it does really sucks... But we thank God for life....
So much love, I am super grateful! Please let us spread the word about how important it is to pay attention to our bodies. Appreciate you all, xxx.
