I have for a good amount of time avoided cycling as i find it a little boring and thought "the time im cycling i could be skating" but you are right, skating is more taxing on the body, even though i compliment my skating with strength training, maybe there still are some benefits im missing, ill try cycling.
great videos, keep it up... just one little critique, tone the music volume down a little bit since it some times competes with your voice and it is hard to hear you.

Thanks for your comment and kind words! Yes, I know, audio ducking isn’t great yet, but I ‘m working on it.
Strength training will be a topic in one of the future uploads btw..😄

For pro skaters yes, but if skating 3 or 4 times a week cycling is less interesting for reaching benefits in speed skating in my opinion. It is probably a lot more efficient to look at strength training for increasing skating performance.

Thanks for your comment! It depends on your goals of course.
And I agree with your opinion about strength training. That will be a topic very soon by the way!

@@outdoorsports6768 The benefits of strength training on cycling and running performance are well known. This is an excellent summary on that topic: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23914932/
I don't know about a similar article like the above one on speed skating, but below some leads and examples of the benefits.

Curious if skating sets u up for triathlon cycling. Thinking off skate work outs and if can get through one invest in a bike. Thinking also off skate workouts strengthens body for running and swimming.

Thanks for your comments! I agree with your opinion about running, it doesn’t hurt swimming either but for swimming I prefer other workouts like pull sessions with bands and chin-ups, planks, etc
