2ks biggest issue is latency in my opinion.. The game could be so fun but to have to deal with different amounts of delay every single game is so terrible.. No other games have this issue and it’s crazy to me they’ve never addressed this

My visual cue is super simple. When my hand touches my head I release. Yet some games it wont work for a full quarter but all of a sudden it works for the rest of the game. Some games it works the whole time, some games it works most times, some games it barely works. It changes every games and the fact that they try to nerf catch and shooters because of a few hackers is ridiculous. Somehow some centers still have 17 feet long arms on PC.
Speaking the truth for this entire video, Badge. I played a bunch this weekend, rec and the event, also some theater in between. I like the game, I still had fun...but there's just so much goofy stuff that could be fixed to make an amazing game that people would want to play all year long. Facts I average 30 ppg in rec and it's really fun for me but it would be better if they slightly nerfed rim running, and the glove badge. My biggest issue is with how they used on ball defense in 2k after 13. Ever since 2k14 spamming square at the right angle has more priority and effectiveness than locking someone up with L2 and right stick except for in 2k21. The people complaining about Curry slide in 21 were square spammers but it was actually easy to lock. Steals being so overpowered incentivizes lazy, and bad defense with glitchy outcomes.
I hear you. I rarely reach unless it's a big guy holding the ball for too long under the basket. I prefer to go for passing lane steals when people throw those crazy full court passes, and mostly try n bump my matchup all the way up the floor and force them into a bad shot or pass. That's just me tho 🤷♂️

The casual mode would cater to that imo. The park is arcade enough in a way. Leave the 5v5 realistic enough too. Make wide open shots have more impact on %. Punish bad defense and button spamming instead of rewarding it. Idc if the guy shooting aint very good, the defender leaving him wide open should be punished as well
Honestly if u look at it those in the 16-30 range have money bc they work kids jus get the game and maybe a build or so per holiday if they catered to the young adult audience I doubt it’ll hurt them to crazy
The different types of latency across the different modes , The cost to max out a build $100+ and Zero crossplay are the big 3 problems with besides them ruing the actual gameplay
How about the dead parks because loading into mycareer brings you into the park. How many people load into the park with zero intention of playing games? I’d say a majority.

@@thaxton158 that’s apart of the issue. But go into any park (at least on current gen) and look how 90% of the users are standing at the elevators not moving. The idea that nobody wants to play 3s isn’t true though. When there are full parks, the 3s courts are constantly being used.

Craziest thing about the dunk meter statistics is that even if you have a 99 driving dunk, the leway that you get is completely different compared to people with a lower driving dunk. I don't know how many times I'll slightly mistime an Agressive dunk and miss just to watch another player get a worse release timing and the dunk still fall. The game as a whole just feels really inconsistent and it's disappointing
I really miss the era of 2k8-2k12. 2k11 was the peak and even if you liked online play you still had tons of fun back then. It had soul. I'm also pretty nostalgic for 2k6 and before but those had their own issues
This is EA’s chance to get back in the picture. If they could just make a playable game that has good gameplay mechanics, they can do what 2K did to them in the mid to late 2000’s. Make a decent game that caters to fans, maybe even sell it for $50 just to get dinner people to switch, and have a much cheaper way to better ur players or teams, and boom there’s competition. EA could get back on the scene which would force 2K to chill on the money hungry tactics they’ve come to love.
I’ve decided I will not be spending 60-70$ on 24 next year, cause how this year is looking it seems like we won’t get anything better next year, so this is my last year on 2k till I see that it’s actually gotten better in terms of them actually listening to what you and other voices are saying they should work on

I miss unlocking the jordan themed mycourt i miss starting at a 85 overall and getting to a 90 in the same day. I miss crews with the attribute boost i miss the automatic matchmaking like in 2k13 blacktop. All they have to do is go back to their old ways. Listening to new players in the community fucked up the game.
I’m sure EAFC will mess it up but what I love about pro clubs (minus the VC) is that I level up my one player. And then I can 5 different builds so If they need me at ST I got it, if I need to switch to CM, I can do that too. Right now it’s so crazy to think that if I’ve played 2k for months w a PG build and then want to play some gets as a big I gotta start all over and pay for 250k VC just to feel like I can compete.
One thing that truly kills the game is VC, it’s cost me close to 600k vs to max my player. Like I really hope 2k doesn’t keep doing this and we just get use to it. I don’t play the game much so this year was the first year I didn’t make a few players, it’s to much VC and you don’t earn enough in my career or park etc.

NBA2K's game developers and engineers at the top are incentivizing bad basketball while pushing people away and have the audacity to refuse to listen to the player base who actually care about the games being better, so it's certainly not a good look and that's why their shares and stocks are going down.
2k tries every year to make people play good basketball. Look how the eliminate zig zaging, added adrenaline, etc. nobody wants that unless you’re 35 years old. It’s park not the 5v5.

One of my biggest frustrations is the dumb animations of stopping a dunk coming from the side from far or from behind when you clearly are past them and also the dumb 20 different timing animations you get from the same shot. Im pretty good at shooting but you can tell it seems random at times it throws a way off timing of your shot. The biggest frustration i get is the bs shot contest system when your clearly wide open and someone jumps 15+ feet away from you and still gets a 10-50% contest 🤦♂️

I’ve just gotten into 2k and I gotta say.. it’s been absolutely horrible. I haven’t shelled out hundreds of dollars for a build like everyone else. I’ve never encountered more toxic people than I have in 2k. I am at an 89ovr and nobody passes me the ball, I get hate messages for just wanting to play park or rec. it’s been absolutely awful. I don’t understand why it is just normal to drop 200$ for your character. That’s just insane to me and I don’t know why so many people are so hateful. This community doesn’t seem chill or connected at all whatsoever
thats how its been since last year dude.. i started in 2k19 and could get games whenever, park was always crowded.. it seems last year and this year people started being less chill and played less team ball like people are impatient
The total sales might actually be worse than that. Remember a lot of people are buying next and current gen 2k games. If they count both to make their sales look better than it could easily be less than 8 million copies of the game being sold.
And adding a sorta substitution feature in rec or pro am if you have multiple builds would be great in my opinion it can make you change your gameplay in offense or defense and help you adjust in areas you need.

The dunks don't even work for me. I time them almost always just a little early, but I miss them while other people I go against make theirs while having a lower driving dunk then me.
Leaving out the biggest issue. The dead parks. Stop making people who are playing mycareer, or buying clothes, etc. load into parks to just stand there. Load people into their mycourt initially, etc. also put the 2s back in the same area to get rid of the already dead park being split in half.
you can miss layups that’s labeled open and wide open. i just want the basics to be there we are supposed to be NBA players(superstars on our team as well), we should never be missing wide open layups, regardless of any timing it is a layup.
Honestly they really need to stop rewarding players for poor defense. I have a 93 driving dunk on a 6’8” 90 strength 80 vert player and I literally miss dunks because the center is in the paint on the opposite side of the rim and jumps straight upwards into the air 😡
I completely agree with ur premise of the vid. But once again ur gameplay suggestions are crazy. First they don't need to make the dunk meter harder to use. Actually, that's the main thing that needs to be buried in a desert somewhere. Secondly, the quick drops need to be available to everyone and anyone. Along with the rest of the animations. Maybe revert it back to last year's requirements. Honestly, they shouldn't have changed animations requirements in the first place. That being said, I completely agree with you about micro-transactions and gameplay rewards.
I’ve played 2K since 2k5. The season is almost over, I preordered this last one. I think for career mode I’m like 14-0. I usually play career and tend to get through about 2 seasons, I dunno what it was with this one but I just couldn’t get into it like the last ones.
yea but my favorite was nba 2k19 what made it so good is that every build did what it said you knew what you were playing and the builds all did really well at the specific type of build you wanted although the gameplay was fun but most people hated how uncompetitive it made the pros feel i think a more complicated version of that would diminish all the problems for now

I’m sure EAFC will mess it up but what I love about pro clubs (minus the VC) is that I level up my one player. And then I can 5 different builds so If they need me at ST I got it, if I need to switch to CM, I can do that too.
Right now it’s so crazy to think that if I’ve played 2k for months w a PG build and then want to play some gets as a big I gotta start all over and pay for 250k VC just to feel like I can compete.
One thing that truly kills the game is VC, it’s cost me close to 600k vs to max my player. Like I really hope 2k doesn’t keep doing this and we just get use to it. I don’t play the game much so this year was the first year I didn’t make a few players, it’s to much VC and you don’t earn enough in my career or park etc.

NBA2K's game developers and engineers at the top are incentivizing bad basketball while pushing people away and have the audacity to refuse to listen to the player base who actually care about the games being better, so it's certainly not a good look and that's why their shares and stocks are going down.
2k tries every year to make people play good basketball. Look how the eliminate zig zaging, added adrenaline, etc. nobody wants that unless you’re 35 years old. It’s park not the 5v5.
@@Fent- I'm not saying that every game developer is biased and don't want the game to be better because I'm just pointing out those who won't make the commitment to do so.
One of my biggest frustrations is the dumb animations of stopping a dunk coming from the side from far or from behind when you clearly are past them and also the dumb 20 different timing animations you get from the same shot. Im pretty good at shooting but you can tell it seems random at times it throws a way off timing of your shot. The biggest frustration i get is the bs shot contest system when your clearly wide open and someone jumps 15+ feet away from you and still gets a 10-50% contest 🤦♂️
I made a build with a 99 three ball 30 shootings badges and miss a wide open three. Full white idc if I’m wide open I just make that 9/10 times
i hate playing guard in 23 because i swear every shot i take has different timing and the dribbling with the adrenaline is horrendous

I started playing 2k back in 2015 but now I stopped playing it this year idk just stupid how I gotta spend hundreds of dollars just to build a player or grind forever to max a player out
2k 19 was my favorite but if we have to green to dunk they need to make it easier to green dunks
I’ve just gotten into 2k and I gotta say.. it’s been absolutely horrible. I haven’t shelled out hundreds of dollars for a build like everyone else. I’ve never encountered more toxic people than I have in 2k. I am at an 89ovr and nobody passes me the ball, I get hate messages for just wanting to play park or rec. it’s been absolutely awful. I don’t understand why it is just normal to drop 200$ for your character. That’s just insane to me and I don’t know why so many people are so hateful. This community doesn’t seem chill or connected at all whatsoever
thats how its been since last year dude.. i started in 2k19 and could get games whenever, park was always crowded.. it seems last year and this year people started being less chill and played less team ball like people are impatient
rising vc prices was horrible this year.. not only that but it took longer to max out or at least to get to 90..

The total sales might actually be worse than that. Remember a lot of people are buying next and current gen 2k games. If they count both to make their sales look better than it could easily be less than 8 million copies of the game being sold.
And adding a sorta substitution feature in rec or pro am if you have multiple builds would be great in my opinion it can make you change your gameplay in offense or defense and help you adjust in areas you need.

The dunks don't even work for me. I time them almost always just a little early, but I miss them while other people I go against make theirs while having a lower driving dunk then me.

Leaving out the biggest issue. The dead parks. Stop making people who are playing mycareer, or buying clothes, etc. load into parks to just stand there. Load people into their mycourt initially, etc. also put the 2s back in the same area to get rid of the already dead park being split in half.

you can miss layups that’s labeled open and wide open. i just want the basics to be there we are supposed to be NBA players(superstars on our team as well), we should never be missing wide open layups, regardless of any timing it is a layup.
Honestly they really need to stop rewarding players for poor defense. I have a 93 driving dunk on a 6’8” 90 strength 80 vert player and I literally miss dunks because the center is in the paint on the opposite side of the rim and jumps straight upwards into the air 😡
I completely agree with ur premise of the vid. But once again ur gameplay suggestions are crazy. First they don't need to make the dunk meter harder to use. Actually, that's the main thing that needs to be buried in a desert somewhere. Secondly, the quick drops need to be available to everyone and anyone. Along with the rest of the animations. Maybe revert it back to last year's requirements. Honestly, they shouldn't have changed animations requirements in the first place. That being said, I completely agree with you about micro-transactions and gameplay rewards.

I’ve played 2K since 2k5. The season is almost over, I preordered this last one. I think for career mode I’m like 14-0. I usually play career and tend to get through about 2 seasons, I dunno what it was with this one but I just couldn’t get into it like the last ones.
I remember on 2k16 your build name changed depending on what stats you upgraded between the 3 build options.
yea but my favorite was nba 2k19 what made it so good is that every build did what it said you knew what you were playing and the builds all did really well at the specific type of build you wanted although the gameplay was fun but most people hated how uncompetitive it made the pros feel i think a more complicated version of that would diminish all the problems for now
