you missed the outdoor area of skyarena. there is more fun to do outdoor there. bar and restaurants for westerner are more available there. Just besides the gondola exit, you turn left.

14:08 99.99% of ground-level security personnel in Malaysia are foreign migrant workers, usually from Nepal or Bangladesh. Those at Genting Highlands are no exception. During a family trip to Genting Highlands in June last year, my 14 year-old daughter inadvertently (and carelessly I must admit) left her cellular phone at one of the food courts there and realised it a few hours later. The phone was lost, we couldn't get much help from the security personnel there. First there was communication issue, second they didn't even bother to find out how or where or what type of phone she left there. The only consolation it was not a new expensive phone, just a hand-me-down phone that I used previously.
I’m so sorry to hear about your daughter’s phone. It’s mostly the footage and memories on there that are hard to lose. Totally our fault of course, but after living in Dubai for 7 years, where things get handed in and returned, I think we got too spoilt. Doesn’t happen out in the real world I guess. Oh well, you win some, you lose some!
Sorry to hear this, honestly, it's not nice! We lived in Dubai for a while and whenever something would go missing we would almost always get it back! I am really disappointed with how the security handled the situation until now.
The Genting management has got to do something. An honest lost & found corner would suffice.

Original meaning of Genting in Malay (in geography term) means mountain-saddle or mountain-pass; the pass between mountain peaks. In Malaysia, Genting Highland is used as a proper name for that place.

To really Enjoy and Explore the Genting Highlands Resort- Minimum you must stay there 3 days and 2 nights there - ! Wasting your time - Not even staying for a night - All the way up to Genting Highlands !

Sorry your GoPro up and went! Would think it would be on camera but not alot you can do without the support from security. Seems like they are not bothered with 'daft tourist leaving it on bench' Someone has it defo. Apart from that the cable car ride and views looked spectacular and the entertainments at Genting Highlands full on. Good it wasnt crowded so you could enjoy better Take care and we will see you in the next one 👍👋💕
It’s a shame, but totally our fault of course. We are spoilt by the safety of Dubai where anything you leave gets handed in (we lived there for 7 years). Doesn’t work like this out in the real world, sadly. But it was a lovely day out non-the less, just upset I didn’t beat Yad in basketball! Damn. I haven't been to Genting for over a decade but it looks so empty. I am not sure whether it's due to the lockdown and even after they reopen it never recovered or it has been empty before that.
This was rather early in the day that might be it? Perhaps it gets more busy on the weekend.
"Genting" is in Malay language, which means "pass", just like Khyber Pass in Pakistan. Also "G" in Genting is a hard G, like in Grin and Go 😊
Thank you for clarifying, Andrew! Yes, I told my husband it’s about time he learns I’m always right. 🤣 In his defense, G” in English is also pronounced softly, like George, Georgetown, Gibraltar, Gem etc. so it can be open for debate, but we got there in the end with the correct way of calling it 😃

Yes, you have gone to the top place in KL, it seems less crowded, which is good for you because you don't have a long queue at the cable car
That’s right. No people around in the end. But most rides were also closed 😢 so we couldn’t enjoy the indoor rides unfortunately. Maybe we caught the place on a quiet weekend! But we still enjoyed our day 😊

@@keangwooichoo6138 We left it on the bench in the Outlet mall area (not the taxi). There were no people and many cameras, but security wouldn’t agree to look at cameras to see who may have picked up. So we just had to let it go 🥲
It’s a shame, honestly hope someone hands it in eventually. I’m very disappointed with the security at the shopping complex

You guys missed the the best part of Genting Highlands.. which is the outdoor theme park...
A lot of the rides were sadly closed. A very quiet weekend up there when we went!
It is rm 170 per person. No demand I guess.
