I'll speak for those of us who drive this route constantly. Keep right unless you're passing. The center lane of a three lane highway is NOT the right lane.
Going to take this route on my way to Little Rock for the holiday weekend. I'll keep your advice & this video in mind; once saw an electronic billboard reading "dear left lane drivers: if you're not passing, you're failing". lol!
By comparison. BTW, this had to be one of many videos that was on a Sunday morning. I didn't seen many groups of cars and trucks. 55 is busy, including the rural parts, between cities. It was great to see it wide open like that.
@@mrnasty02106 Looks like about a 6AM departure from Chicago, yes, on a Sunday. When the sun finally makes an appearance, way down closer to St. Louis, it's still mid-morning.
@@peoriavideosltd6822 It was nice to watch. Getting out of Chicago like that was fun. The volume builds after 10 AM and tops out by 5 or 6 (on Sundays).
As a Southerner, I've always found the traffic less intimidating in New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles than in Atlanta. Those cities have more miles of interstate and more lanes, and the traffic flows better through them than through Atlanta.
I used ti drive from Chicago to Springfield twice a week. No way I'm gonna watch this. I've seen that part of I-55 more than enough. Went that way last year though, and now there are ugly ass wind farms all over the place where there used to be farms.
and the roads in illinois that aren’t in chicago are absolute trash, Illinois has last it’s ways and even indiana has better quality roads than illinois
Now you can take Amtrak between the two cities at 110mph
Sounds good:)

And if someone behind you flashes their brights, GET OVER. Thank you.
4:01:45 as you can see on the right side of the screen, That billboard sign up ahead is the Missouri Welcomes You Sign.
Do a I 55 Complete Road Trip Video From Memphis Tennessee To Jackson Mississippi
Other time 😅
Update: why did you privatized the indianapolis downtown driving video?
The traffic in the Chicago metropolitan area looks so light. Atlanta has ten times the amount of I-55 in Chicago.
Until you hop on I94
