  • Video: An afternoon of spotting trains at Newton Abbot station situated on the Riviera Line, in some waves of heavy showers. The original plan for that day was to go to the Teignmouth Sea Wall, but the weather was too bad so I instead spotted at this station and later Exeter St Davids.
Some highlights in this spot were the NMT HST doing test runs back and forth between Paignton, Plymouth and Exeter, a refurbished slide door GWR HST short set and XC HST, and a light engine HST power car moves.
    TRAINS INCLUDED:
Great Western Railway (GWR) Class 43 HSTs & Class 143 Pacers & Class 150 Sprinters & Class 800 / 802 AT300s (IETs), CrossCountry Class 43 HST & Class 220 Voyagers & Class 221 Super Voyagers and Network Rail New Measurement Train Class 43 HST.

Was fortunate enough to catch the Flying Banana thundering through Wigan North Western on my morning commute to uni a few years ago :) Great video!

This channel deserves WAY more subscribers because it has some great videos that are not getting the views they deserve :)

I like the stop maker not updated to reflect the changing of the Cross Country franchise over a decade ago.
Also, was that a Full length HST from London? why are they in use again?
