That Liverpool away kit from 82-85 was perhaps their best ever. And I'm an Arsenal fan.

Totally agree. I'm a QPR fan but have to admit the Liverpool pin stripe kit from 82-85 was definitely the best ever football kit ever designed, however the QPR kit from that era wasn't bad either!

Both clubs kits are great. Love the old umbro kits.

Diddy1970AD Totally agree, the black & red away from that era was lovely. The Guinness one was great as well.

To be fair, Arsenal's was neat as well, if the green/blue change was bizarre.
Let's be fair though, how many strips from that era WEREN'T very pleasant?
Adidas, Umbro and the odd Patrick or Le Coq Sportif dominated Division One. It was late 80s & early 90s when the horror stories came into play.....

I'm thinking that the best away kit liverpool had was the 77 to 79 or so white shirts black shorts white socks, and the famous home kit red with white v neck just takes me back to watching them on the tv with my dad, he used to wake me up to come downstairs to watch sports night on BBC, great to have the opportunity to watch them again

Lee Chapman, one of my favourite players of all time, probably at his lowest point in his career. Coming from Stoke City as one of the most promising young striker in England he failed at Arsenal... and not just for his faults. But he went on to have an excellent career at Sheffield Wednesday, Nottingham Forest and especially at Leeds.

Remo Gandolfi I remember he formed a deadly strike partnership with Imre Varadi at Sheffield Wednesday.

Shkodran Mustafi would actually be a great First Division center back in the 1980's. The game has changed a lot for the better

I loved the old clock end when the terracing wrapped around to the east & west stands. I think they took out the corners at the end of the 87/88 season. I started senior school two days after this game.

I went to Highbury 5 or 6 times between 1984 - 1991. Deffo had the corner (visitors) last game of 1991.

I think Arsenal reverted back to full red socks a season later. To me prefer red over white socks more traditional. Don't mind hooped red and white

No more this number of white players in the pitch. And I'm not rasist but money now and then and level of playing and fighting then and now.Hmm fat payment to players that don't deserve half or less than that. And still not enough but then fixings the games when ever they can.Someone have to pay those big transfers.

It is oddly shit football by today's standards. Souness looks a cut above though.
