Jacques Liw : I am 5’9” and I got a medium. It’s a little bit larger than most medium 29ers. My buddy who rides a 27.5 in the same bike rides a large and he said he felt perfect on the medium as a 29er.

@@hudsonborthwick8119 Thanks bro! I am 5'9" too, my LBS offer me good deal on E29 2017 elite medium (tiny bit shorter then yours) & 2018 comp large, both bike fit me well, just standover of the large a bit tall. I am seeking more input to make decision, whether I need more on agility or stability 😅

Oh ok I see, I would say a smaller 29er is probably better. After riding for a few rides u may just get used to them, however, u want to feel as comfortable as possible so if u feel more comfortable on the smaller one that might be the best decision, 29ers are probably the most grounded and stable bikes out there, so going one size down to make it a little more playful may be a good idea. It does come down to personal preference if u like to work the bike beneath you or let it take u. A larger bike will take u for a ride, but a smaller bike u will be able to control it more.

@@hudsonborthwick8119 Alright thanks for your advise! Nowadays trend is to ride bigger bike, all my friends ask me to size up! I need more info & your review is very important😊. The large feel ok in high speed straight line but tight U-shape switchback it is pain in the ass (even medium not handle very well, hahaha... 😅)

Did you have chance to ride the enduro 27.5? I’m considering getting one.

Yes I did! My buddy has my bike in 27.5 but with Fox Factory suspension it’s was pretty nice and flickable. It handles chunk very well. He absolutely loves it but he does pedal strike a lot on climbing, whereas on my 29er I rarely ever pedal strike and I usually ride really rocky terrain
