- 26-year-old Te Huia Apaapa is a gifted runner and triathlete known as ‘The Rocketman’. Te Huia has achieved this while having severe autism, intellectual disability, and epilepsy.

Reminds me of the bro Sam from Papakura, south auckland, who swam accross the cook straight! Autistic as and trains like a boss! Has a mrs, drives a car and does talks at public gatherings often. Beautiful, special, amazing people!!!

i agree and i wish they had explained why he can’t and i. do wonder if it’s the rules with a guide or it’s actually him. so i wonder if he could be on his own bike with the guide right next to him like in the swimming? i have also seen bikes attached by poles, but that does seem limiting.
