Can't go wrong! If your ready, I'm ready......
@@DarkJediChrisG-1425 you know it brother!
You getting it? Is it better than your type r ? That’s the real question lol
👏🏼👏🏼.
To the door panels 😁
After watching this video all I have to say is I want one! I'd leave it stock too, nothing on this car to change it looks so good.
You have good taste Arthur! Thanks for letting me share the drive with you!
There's no room in the budget for anything else.
I throw on a front lip, some side skirts and lower it and call it a day.
Acura all days
Good luck 🤞
Glad they made the suspension more “street friendly” compared to the Type R
apparently without sacrificing handling ability too
Type S all day! Besides the repairability and maintenance side of things, just a better experience all way around.
I take it that you have never owned a modern Acura - their reliability is average at best.
I have been waiting so long for this on throttle review! I can’t wait to watch, and own one of these eventually! Love the vids from the team, you guys never disappoint!!!
Much love from Puerto Rico🇵🇷
Thank you for being so supportive! I am so glad that I can share it with you!
Well done again Joe and Lori. I was definitely waiting for this on throttle. I LOVE this car. I already talked to the wife and she said this is our next car. Acura won me back with this Type S and for once, I don't mind the piped-in sound. I can't believe I said that. Honestly, too many cars are just too big and wide to enjoy on public streets which is why I really appreciate the size of this car and the way they package it, it is incredibly practical. Also, it looks like there is no auto engine start/stop which is a HUGE plus for me. Now it is a matter of me putting the money together and hoping dealer make-ups are not insane. Thanks again, Joe! What an amazing time to be a car enthusiast!
Thank you for letting me share the Type S with you!
Same here, I wasn't convinced with the other current Type S, but this looks very balanced, well thought.
Right now I'm aiming for a house, but I'll leave some money on the side to buy the last year model of this car, when they announce end of production.
@@ProphetC2 Good luck on that house. A nice garage to park this beauty is a must. When I was living in a small apartment with on street parking my cars were constantly damaged by other people. It took us a while but my wife and I were able to get a nice house with a 2 car garage and we actually use that garage for our 2 cars and we couldn't be happier.
I’m just picturing how much better this would look with two doors and it would weigh less. Plus the sunroof doesn’t bother me but the manual passenger seat and no ventilated seats is crazy
At this price point the car should have ventilated seats, moon or pano roof, illuminated door sills and dead pedal, power seats for all. Acura skimped on some features and those with the money to afford these prices want all of those amenities. They nailed the look and failed with features, B- score!
This car is not for you. This car is for drivers who prioritize driving over collecting features.
@@bt9765It's called Luxury sport. Those are features you get with BMWs and Mercedes.. the vehicles this integra is supposedly trying to compete with.
Then the price would increase then folks will be mad about the cost …..just buy the car that fit your needs and budget and boom!!!
@I JUST WANNA FLY DJI DRONES it's over 50k. Idk what you're smoking. Acura designed a 40k car and then decided they could sell it for 50k so they did
@@VanquishedAgain why so offensive? Dialogue works great without it.
Honestly regardless of the price this has moved up to the top of my list for my next car i love acura and honda and you cant beat the reliability of japanese cars i dont mind it great review
I’m so glad that you like this one
Really? Higher than 911 Turbo S?
@@alexeivoloshin5984 i mean you got the money to maintain it sure but if youre gonna bitch and cry when you pop a tire or gotta get a oil change this argument is irrelevant
@@jonathanrodriguez-dq5iq Why is it irrelevant?
This is fantastic, definitely my new dream car. Thanks Joe!
You are so very welcome! Dream big man!
Happy National Integra Type S Day! This is the most important car video of the year and I am here for it.
I think you are so very right man!
Joe THERES AN INTEGRA TYPE S for sale where I live and I’m telling you,my car enthusiast heart is pitter pattering right now!!!!!! Joe thank you for taking the Raiti’s rides family on throttle with you, you’re the best!!😊😊
You are so very welcome my friend!
This reminds me so much of my first gen Acura TSX… so fun to drive, drove that car for over 10 years
I want the engine the Integra has in my TSX lol
I regret selling mine almost weekly. Had a lot of great cars but that TSX holds a special place.
Still rocking my 07' TSX with ecu tune and cold air intake. Wish I could afford this Integra, but love my TSX!
Love the review. Don’t you love June gloom in Cali? The Integra is great as it is. Acura hit it out of the ballpark. The zonks are not even major issues. Don’t need ventilated seats. Never ever used the moon roof. The infotainment system doesn’t bother me. Who cares if the passenger has electric seats. Great looking car. The only modify is tinted windows. The price point and the manual transmission, separates enthusiasts with money and the others who wants to ruin this gem with bolt ons. You must did this vid early morning because it gets crowed there. Love it.
Question is. Would you trade your Type R in for this Type S?
Great review as always! Looks like a great performer for sure. But think they should’ve included a few more features (moonroof, cooled seats, power passenger seat, rear air vents and a full rear seat with center armrest) These omissions are acceptable on the civic type r, but not for a car competing in the luxury space, especially when the competition has these features.
.....and their SH-AWD system, instead of the same front-wheel system as the CTR
I like how he explains the technical stuff to a person like me that doesn't know what those features do.
Thanks Joe! Your content is top notch and entertaining while informative. Keep it up!
You got it Tim
Agreed! It's great to be able to identify with a bona fide manual enthusiast. On that note, it seems like the press cars always have a clutch that's still breaking in. I doubt the launch from a stop would've bogged like that if the clutch had maybe another 5k on it, especially since Raiti's daily is an STi Type RA.
Never comment but have followed forever, with a lot of review channels slacking you’re always top notch thanks Joe! Amazing car
Should I add one of these to your garage and have the Type R and this one parked next to each other. That would be cool looking!🚗🚙😁
Great video Joe & Lori !! I absolutely love this car and the fact that Acura has a manual transmission in 2023 is amazing !!! I only drive manuals so this is right up my alley. I am disappointed in a few things, no sun roof, no aluminum dead petal as it looks plain without it. I can "almost" do without a power passenger side seat but for the money it should have ventilated seats for sure. I can't recall if the back seats were missing vents for heat/air and no connectivity which is crazy and if I am wrong I do apologize. Bottom line it is an incredible car abd the looks blow away the competition. I would still buy this car tomorrow even without some of those features but it would be nice to have. GREAT job Acura !!!!
i would love a sunroof as well but seems most, if not all, performance cars don't offer sunroofs as an options... Civic Type R, Golf R, Veloster N, BMW M2 etc......
I have a 2016 WRX, roof...... I love my roof and metal dead petal, vents in the back.....
I love watching you drive, Joe (esp. a manual)...and narrating at the same time!
I really appreciate you taking the time to say that.
Congratulations on a million subscribers Joe! You really earned it 👏 🙌
i love everything about this car joe exceptt....the dealbreaker for me is the no sunroof. i am always driving with sunroof down just adds more to the experience. thats just me though. I just love the look of it on the interior. if there is one thing to cheap out on the sunroof isnt it. i dont mind them cheaping out on the manual passenger seat assist but its gotta be one or the other. not both. it is a beautifully crafted car aside from that though.
I’d buy this over a Benz or bmw. This will last longer and offers better reliability. Love your videos!
I justify watching these knowing I'll never afford one by saying they're very informative and this guy always makes them sound cool lol
All they had to do was add a DCT opinion and I STILL would have considered it...but no DCT, no sunroof, no ventilated seats, only 4 seats, no ac/usb in the back, AND NO AWD!! 😤 that would be bad a 48k car. For a 52k car that's straight robbery. After taxes/fees and interest rates you're looking at an almost 60k car 😂
Almost 60k is a understatement with the accessories, dealership greed is 15K topping it high 70K.😂😂😂
No butt massage either! Crime in Italy..
I agree 100% at this price point no sunroof,no Ac in the rear and no passenger power seats is a killer for me
Yes bro I'm with you it's a great machine but is missing a lot for being 51k , my car has all of that you mentioned but without that engine and only cost me 30k 😂😂😂
People like you are what’s wrong with the car market today. You’re offered a capable sports car with a manual for car enthusiasts and you’re comparing about no automatic and no luxuries that just add weight. Just get the tlx! It’s got all the luxuries but heavy and slow.
Thank you for the comprehensive review with great detail. Unfortunately, local Acura distributors are retailing these vehicles at much above MSRP. Apparently, buyers are traveling out of the state to negotiate cheaper deals behind the scenes. Until Acura produces sufficient quantities of these Acura variants pricing will be over the moon. Overall, this vehicle is an excellent choice.
Good way to start the morning for a Monday haha. This Acura looks so good.
The breakfast of champions is some ON THROTTLE!
@@RaitisRides Yessir you’re correct about that!!
Great review. Might just have to test drive this one day. If Acura gave us a TLX type-s with a 6MT, I’d be running to the dealership to give them my money
Facts
the TLX Type S has the 6MT with the SH-AWD
@@BabySkinCondom unfortunately, no. It’s the integra that has it as of now. I don’t think Acura will be making the tlx type s in a manual. especially with the poor sales numbers. Great car regardless
I love your enthusiasm and your kid like vibe while driving this Joe, but Acura is insane for the price on this car
O man, nice review Joe. My cousin had one of these in the 90’s, I have to say the best driving experience is manual drive, to me it’s just stupid to drive this in a automatic. 👍🏽 nice work Lori 🎥
Way to go Acura! Having had 8 Acura’s and now 2 Audi’s, I think while this is a great Acura, it’s no Audi. Great review Joe, when the post started I would have never expected Acura to jam in as much as they did, in a very well designed body.
You are so very right!
But you've never had any Acura Type R or S, have you? Drive one back-to-back with any Audi (besides R8) and see how much sportier it drives (may not be as quick in a straight line though).
@@Asiansxsymbol I’m sorry, did you say to me that I never had a Type R or S? While you are incorrect in your statement and judgement, it’s important for you to know that I left a complimentary reply to Joe Raiti regarding Acura and I by know means was I speaking to you.
@@Asiansxsymbol I want to drive one of these. It's very clear Acura was going directly at Audi with this, down to the "individual" drive mode. Acceleration of this and interior room seems to put it in line with the A4 more than the A/S3.
The noisiness of that cabin, though... 🤮
Have you drove one??
Not going to lie, I was part of the fix the integra group, but this car has grown on me a ton. Considering it a future goal of mine perhaps
No ventilated seats is a crime against humanity 😅😢 but this is a great car
Trust me living in Florida I know the struggle.
Actually looks a lot nicer than the civic type r and the Acura tlx. Wheels are fire
Been waiting for this video! You have the best reviews Joe. Ive got a 2018 Type R and have this car, and the ZL1 1LE on my radar for a trade. Obviously very different cars
ZL1 1LE is one of my dream cars, if you already have a daily driver, I would go ZL1 all day
Joe, the question everyone wants to know, which one are you taking if you didn’t purchase the type r already?
That is the million dollar question. If I only had one car I would go Integra Type S.

I have been looking at the TLX and saw this come out this weekend at the dealer, couldn't drive it, but waited for this review. The only thing I am worried about is the FWD, compared to the AWD for the S3.
Don’t be worried. You have to take it for a spin.
Imo it depends on where you live, if you’re in the north with snow, I’d go S3 with AWD, if you live west or south I could see it being a toss up
AMG A35/CLA35 all will smoke this car. Used variants of these within 20/21 MY can be bought for the price of 40-50k.
We all know markups will try to charge 60/70/80k for this car.
I think it would be better to wait for the market to stabilize and true… non biased reviews come out or go with something you know has performance and is faster.
@@Ben-mq8ugit’s hard to find a channel that doesn’t get a press car loaned to them from the manufacturer. Meaning most car reviews will be biased otherwise they wouldn’t get the press cars in the first place.
TLX weighs 4200 lbs it’s like a SUV shit is so heavy
Thanks for the video with attention to details. Those 30-series tires at 265 could be trouble for wheels on potholes, especially for daily driver.
Hell yeah. More room, reliability , stylish and better interior. Audi has more options tho
They do have more options but don't forget that drives up the price.
EVERY reviewer has raved about the Type S, from Savagegeese to Jay Leno to everyone else. It must drive so so good. 🙌
It really is!
What a vehicle. I'd definitely be leaning towards this over the European performance luxury spoken of. Even feeling it over anything Subaru currently is offering with the death of the STI. Very excited to hopefully take the new intergra type R for a spin.
Enjoy your civic. lol
@@Rico0333 I will. Enjoy trying to belittle what other people enjoy.
Fwd 🤦♂️
The demand is stupidly high for this.
@@ChickenMeister84it looks crazy!!🔥
I have already contacted the Acura dealer, and they say they will only have 4 cars per semester, and they have around $10k to $12k markup. It is so sad the dealers will mess up with the car. $60K-65K For manual assist seat, no air vents for the second row, no ventilated seats, no sunroof for this price, I prefer a Bmw.
Oh wow that is crazy!
Great video! Sweet ride. Out the door of almost 60k is a little crazy though
Thoughts between this and the tlx type s? Just got myself a 2023 tlx type s a few weeks ago. Hope I didn’t make a mistake lol.
Seems like the tlx has awd and is a bit faster. I do love the styling on the integra though
that tlx weighs like a 1000lbs more. literally
Joe I just want to thank you for your awesome review and confirming this will be my next vehicle!! Can’t wait until it arrives at my local Acura dealer!!🙌🏾❤️😉💯
For the low price of $70k
went on a road trip with my new Type S . Except for a cut tire that became a costly repair (no spare BTW and no run flat which is crazy). The trip was just fantastic. Price is hign compared to mundane Japanese cars but a steal when compare to equivalent German machinery. Used to drive BMWs. They got boringly comfortable or super expensive. No regrets.
Sorry to hear about the tire but I am so glad that you discovered your ITS.
Doesn’t strike me as a car that’s worth 51K…….. a lot of meh interior bits
Very nice presentation on a car’s exterior. I think no one goes that detail as you do. Thank you.
That means the world.
What a desirable little car. Could have been more, and/or less expensive, but still this is a win for Acura. More relevance beyond the MDX.
I am glad that you are digging this one Marcus!
A great car. The Japanese offer reliability and performance, they are doing such a good job. I sure wish manufacturers would allow you to turn off all artificial sounds. I don't want to hear fake noises. Santa Barbara area sure looks nice.
I am so glad that I can share it with you!

You know how we get done here!
Anyone noticed how it cut from him behind the truck to being in front of the truck! 😂 he doesn’t condone that type of driving! Love it!
Lets take a moment to appreciate cars like this still exist today. And bravo to Acura a company that typically plays it too safe and underwhelms us appears to have delivered a winner. I’d probably still pick the Type R since im more about performance/driving and less about tech and luxury in an enthusiast car but no denying this is a great option for those that want more creature comforts. I’ve long forgotten about Audi and MB since the manual transmission went away. Those 2 companies don't even exist to me anymore lol and with its hatch option and incredible manual gearbox i’d take it over the BMW if i wanted some luxury to go with my fun car.
50k+ and manual only, fwd only. Not sure why this is a winner in your book. lol
Seems like a you issue not a me issue.
Very good points Danny!
Another great review from Joe and Lori. Was nice to see you go "on throttle" finally. Can't wait to see you go "on throttle" in the 2023 Canyon Denali.
Raiti's Rides at 6AM? This is better than coffee!
I like the way that you think David!
Awesome car! You’ve maybe addressed this already but would you take this Acura Integra Type S over your Honda Civic Type R?
Imagine if they made this as a coupe.
It should have been a coupe.
Omg if they would’ve did that 😅 I would’ve broke my bank account I love coups and this as a coupe would’ve looked so good 🥶🥶
Why do you want a worse car? 4 door is superior in every way.
It would have been good for consumers but for their shareholders it's not what they want. Nowadays alot of companies are not really trying to make coupes because of shareholders
If it was a coupe, I wouldn't be in the market for it. I want a sporty daily that is easier to get my kid in and out of and still have room for someone up front.
Of all the cars I've had over the years, i miss my 2000 Integra Gsr the most. My most recent car is a 2022 audi s3. All the other cars have been manual and i was ready to take a break. I find DSG amazing for what i was looking for in a driving experience. I know honda has apparently perfected fwd but i still like the extra benifits of awd even the front wheel biased haldex in the s3. If honda/acura stepped into the performance awd game i would take a serious look. Even if it was manual only.
Oh I bet you do!

Joe, for a driver's car, Integra Type S or Golf R?
As Joe starts looking to sell his Type R and buy a Type S. That smile was undeniable. 😀 Type S dynoed at 30wtq more and 16whp more -so will definitely be noticed.
Torque is measured in f-lbs ;)
@AnotherUser 30wtq (10% more torque down low you absolutely notice) the torque comes on earlier in the TYPE S. 16whp peak not so much, but the torque is what provides the get up and go so yes it will be very obvious. There are direct comps of the dyno from both cars with the same fuel at the same place the same day that provided this data with the support of King Motorsports. This also comes from an owner of the FL5 that verifies it to be a faster feeling car than the Type R. The Type S sounds leagues better than the type R also with a proper exhaust setup.

Nice car but they’re asking way too much. When you factor in taxes, options, fees etc. this thing is going to be around $60k out the door
At that price point you could get into a Supra 3.0
True but there is way more to this car
If you finance it, even at MSRP, by the end you’re looking at 70+
@@LateNightDateNight you're looking at 70k plus for the Type S after markup and taxes so...
This would be usually a rich guys toy. It would be a financial mistake for anyone to finance this car and not make a large downpayment. Interest rates are high now.
Hard pass. Markups etc all plagued the TLX Type S and we all know what a failure that car was.
Market is stabilizing in the used car scene and you can easily get a used AMG/M/S maybe RS for 40-60k within 19+ MY. All of which will smoke this car.

THE MISSING SUN ROOF IS A DEAL BREAKER FOR ME.
Incredible review, incredible car! The integra is back!!! I love the sound of the K20C, and the low end torque is the best feature of the K20C engine family. I’m so annoyed with the sunroof delete. They should at least have made it an option. They really need to change that

Joe, wow 1M subscribers ! I remember when you folks did your 100K subscriber live video call. As far as the Acura Integra Type-S is concerned, I know it is a fantastic front-wheeler, but it is certainly a missed opportunity to not have their SH-AWD system in this car. Instead of Honda doing magic with a front-wheel platform and eliminating torque-steer etc., they should have just started with a rear-biased AWD system, and done their magic with that.
I had an opportunity to test drive this and I was highly disappointed. For the amount it's priced, It felt sluggish and heavy I feel there too many other competitors with better performance and interior with the same amount of money. I have to admit the exterior is a beauty but the interior feels very cheap.
