    Yes...very clearly. Thank you for showing the chart as well. As a newbie, this was extremely helpful.

    Your directions are better than the other videos I watched. I was doing a bell looking flower that was all quarter stitches and I had no clue what I was doing. Gotta learn sometime and no one will see it but me.

    This helped sooooooo much!!! I have spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to Google thru how to read/do a fractional stitch for my Mirabilia!!! Then it hit me…..Danielle says EVERYTHING is on her Channel! Searched “Sitcherista fractional stitches” BAM!!!!! That was so helpful! A million thank you’s!!!!!!

    I found this video, and I think you explained it very well. I had been doing a full "x" in the little evenweave box, but then those stitches don't always lay right and they look crazy. I wondered if there was a different way to do it, and there was! Thank you very much for making this video. :) ♥

    Great Tutorial! Fractional stitches can be difficult to explain.
    I stitch in rows when I can. I include my fractionals in the direction I'm stitching(/). My stitching goes faster, and I use less thread.
    I'm enjoying your tutorials. Actually seeing someone doing it helps. Thanks!

    Thank you for this! I haven't stitched in years. Decided today to get out a kit I bought at a cross stitch convention back in the late 1990's. It is on linen and has fractional stitches. After several false starts and the temptation to put it back in the drawer for another 20 years I found your video. Just what I needed to get started. Spent a lovely afternoon remembering how much I love cross stitch!

    Thank you,
    Very well explained. I have a stamped cross stitch with backstitch that goes around the face
    If I do a complete full cross stitch it will go pass the printed backstitch. Now I know what kind of stitch to use and won't leave empty squares.
    Thank you so much for your time and video❤❤❤😊😊

    Thanks for sharing this tutorial! It made perfect sense. I was adding an extra stitch then when I backstitched over it, it was bulky or misshaped. Thanks again

    You are explaining it perfectly!! It's the way I do those fractionals. And I agree, it's easier on even weave fabrics, LOL! :-)

    Thanks for the explanation regarding fractional stitches. I know I've sometimes wondered how to handle fractionals when it looked like it was 3/4 of the square but I think you covered tha. Thank you!
    Love your nails by the way! :)

    That makes great sense to me, bottom left to center and bottom right to center and then it would be the same for the top too. Thank you Danielle for the helpful video! 🙋🏼🎃

    I would have to buy what I thought looked like an easy pattern after a 29 year hiatus, but oh no...it has fractional stitches ( never did a pattern with them 29 years ago!). Oh well - you did help me to determine how to read the pattern. Now I just have to practice!

    Ok I am confused about the very first stitch you made. It is facing to the right all the others are facing to the left. How would I know which way for them to tilt. I'm going to get out my Mira and look for the fractional stitches. Head is just not wrapping around the stitch going in that direction. I always thought you did a full cross on the fractional with one thread. Hell what do I know, nothing. As always thank you for the video. Now to experiment. ❤️

    • @Stitcherista
      @Stitcherista  6 лет назад

      Charlene Otting if you think of a square as having four sections, then you need to fill in whichever section of the square depending on where the fractional stitch is in the chart. I know it is hard to explain in words.

    Thankyou Danielle for this video. You explained it perfect! What fabric did you use? I like it better than aida, which I'm trying to get the nerve up to get away from because I like the look of the evenweaves better. Which one do you recommend? Thankyou again! You are an inspiration to me!!!

    Thank you very much Danielle! You explained everything great. I have shyed away from fractional stitches because they were a bit confusing. I thought that you needed to do a full leg to complete the stitch. It is hard to describe in words lol. So you dont complete the have stitch on the other side? Also, there are squares on the pattern that are smaller than a quarter stitch. Do u ignorr them?

    • @Stitcherista
      @Stitcherista  6 лет назад

      Kim Budziak no you only complete part of the stitch, hence the word "fractional."

    • @Stitcherista
      @Stitcherista  6 лет назад

      Kim Budziak anything smaller than a quarter stitch I still do a quarter stitch.

    I have two colors fractional stitch. I have never cross stitched this unless my grandma taught me on my first one at 10 years. I skipped 20 years and just now got back in it. So do I just do one color first then the second color after

    • @Stitcherista
      @Stitcherista  5 лет назад

      Put one strand of each color in your needle and do the fractional stitch with the two strands at the same time. This is one area you would NOT use the loop method to start. Because you have two strands already in your needle. I hope that made sense.

    • @cdpzboss
      @cdpzboss 5 лет назад

      Well I mean its peach on one corner. Then the other corner is green. So I just did peach first then cut it after it was empty. Then started green with fractional and finished my green....

    "I don't think I'm explaining this right." You did great! Lol. As you can tell by me commenting on an older video that I can't sleep lol. Did you ever fully stitch Christmas Flourishes or were you just using it for this tutorial? Also, those nails 😍

    How do you know when to use a three-quarter stitch?

    • @Stitcherista
      @Stitcherista  6 лет назад

      Cheryl Brumbaugh I never do a three quarter stitch. But there would be a half cross marked in the same square as the quarter stitch, if that makes sense.
