I gotta admit, I hated the look of the New Tundra when they were first unveiled them. The more I see them the better they look. The Sequoia pulls that design off much better with the bumper and grille being slightly different. However, with an aftermarket off-road bumper, these TRD Tundras look awesome! I wanted the Chevy Silverado to grow on me the same way since I grew up a Chevy fan, but they didn't. It also didn't help that my 2016 Silverado was the quirkiest truck I've ever owned. I traded it for an older 2013 Tundra. Best vehicle choice I've made yet. I think I may buy the new Sequoia as a daily driver second to my TRD Tundra which is slowly being transformed into an over lander. Awesome trucks that Toyota has displayed here!
@@Forged4x4 I don't like the Sequoia tbh.. It did look good with the aftermarket, and bigger tires!... Now Toyota just needs to offer locking front and rear diffs, and I'd be interested
Thanks for including my lunar rock Tundra build as the first rig on your video. The truck actually has 37 inch tires but the 20 inch ICON wheels do make the tire look like 35s. I am planning on swapping them out for 37X12.50R18 tires and 18X8.5 wheels once the tires become available from Venom Power Tires. The front and rear bumpers are from Lil B's Fabrication out of Denver, CO. I totally agree with you about the tent sticking out the back too much, but if a low profile configuration is the goal, then unfortunately that's how it's going to end up looking like. I am debating whether getting a smaller tent or keeping this one and just raise the bed rack an inch higher so I can push the RTT forward another 8 inches. It won't look as funny when I do that. I'll just have to sacrifice a little bit of aerodynamics. I honestly don't think it will make a difference in MPG. I'm adding a few more things to the Tundra before calling it done and ready for off-roading adventures and using it as my hunting rig for 2023. Thanks again for including me.
Great reviews. Heads up most of these Toyotas are built using the Toyota Partner Accessories program which now will be built by dealer and fully warrantied by Toyota.
Thanks for showcasing my 21 Blk Tacoma with c4 bumpers & te 37s volks In matte blue gunmetal with Seibon hood scoop carbon fiber ! I appreciate the love !
@@Forged4x4 Thank you , I really appreciated the cover on my truck . I worked really hard to build a fully functional build with products from reputable companies. Definitely more mods going on for Sema next year! Thanks again.
TruckHouse build my favorite! Forged 4x4 should consider doing a Toyota build in the future. Everyone loves Toyota & some of their models are manufactured here in America
All that gear is made for Instagram models so they can pose with their rigs in Alabama Hills and drive home south on hwy 395 rigs lightly dusty. All that gear adds too much weight to a off road rig. I've seen so many Toyota's traveling the Eastern Sierra packed down with an insane amount of gear, trucks all clean, it's all for show (Instagram models).
I love how the comment 'Toyota rusts forever' is made casually. Rory Irish of Moab motorsports says, Toyota's are great for off-roading, but you have to upgrade everything on them first.
I have just build up my Tacoma on Four wheel campers Project M but I’m really beginning to love Tundras now, I think they are more pretty bada$$ as I watch this video. Good job bro on this episode.
One thing to remember is Tacoma’s can fit where tundras can’t. I just downsized from a tundra to a taco and it’s a eye opener. No more 3 point turns to turn around and I’m no longer hitting the mirrors on overgrown brush on the sides of the roads and trails
What a beautiful truck it would be if they made a bed a foot bigger...that thing is sooooo doinky, I probably can't fit my groceries in there. Jeez, maybe one day
Great segment thankyou. Some truly amazing builds worthy of gallons of drool while watching this content. Probably due to my age, but what happened to long bed trucks. All of these well designed storage systems crammed into 5' beds? Don't get luxury seating for 5 with a truck. More bed room and less room for fewer passengers seems to be disappearing. Truly bizarre how young people speaking only require one adjective and seem to have abandoned all others. Really, very, extremely, aggressive, dynamic, adventurous, fantastic...all have replaced by the one adjective to rule them all. SUPER!! Super this, super that, super fast, super cool, super cheap, super epic...It's 'super' disappointing I don't own any of these trucks. Appreciate your time and effort spent showing us all these different companies systems.
All The tundra customisations are sick, my favourite is the Tundra Billet/ Fabrech, I wonder how much does it roughly cost to have them added but without the bed customisations?
I mean... Compared to what? I'd argue that it's 2nd best in light-duty class, with the Gladiator coming in first. Although the Gladiator does have a lot of downsides. You can't tell me a Ranger, Colorado, Frontier or even a Sierra perform better.
Does anybody mention the fact that these builds reduce your payload capacity to the point that you can't carry anything hardly? Takes a truck that can do anything to a truck that now has its payload reduced to practically nothing. Bye bye towing and hauling.
I mean... If you're overlanding, chances are you're not towing anything besides a couple thousand pound trailer. And if you do need to tow something substantial, you take out what you don't need from the Truck.
Fiberglass. But a new method for creating it... They're pressure injecting it for more strength and it ends up being 40% lighter than traditional fiberglass.

It's pretty rad right?
I'd like to see you try to go through SEMA without saying any of those words more than once. There are so many sick rigs there!

They're really rad in person. But a $80k price tag is kinda rediculous.

I used the same rack with a 1" riser from iKamper to allow me to slide a portion of the RTT over the cab. No more overhang!
