- This is the smallest car Lexus has ever produced and I think they might be struggling with the dimensions. Some people say it's a small family car but I think it might be the Granny car!

Great video Bob, I just reviewed the LBX recently too for my channel. Cracking wee car, I was driving a premium plus, circa £35k - which I don't think is too bad in 2024 money.
Nice review, especially like how you focus on the practicalities inherent in every day life. I was checking one of these out at the weekend, a copper tone, and thought a great looking package, until I checked pricing… they have a challenge justifying that I would think. It’s a pity as it will be compared to the Yaris as you say. Top man.
I have one (I am UK based). I had seen it in Dundrum Shopping Centre, and went to test drive one in Wolverhampton after having tried a Yaris Cross with which it shares its platform (although the wheelbase and track are specific, and the engine is 136bhp). It is *brilliant*. 4.6 l/100km, a lot of kit in the basic versions, no need to go high in the range (unless you're really a fan of Alcantara), great little car. It's not as big as the Rav4 I used to have, on which I never used the back seats. And when I go to Ikea, I can get home delivery for 30 quid ...
What colour did you go for?
@@CarsofGlasgow Dark blue metallic, black roof, black interior. The yellow was "way too yellow" :) I would have loved a dark green metallic, but apparently, no one else does ...

Great, down-to-earth review. As someone who rarely has passengers in the car but would love a Lexus one day, maybe this is what they are aiming at no need for a big car.

And as for the end bit... well done for being human. More people should be on these videos.
There's something very odd about smaller Lexuses (Lexi? Whatever...). The CT seemed too small. The UX felt cramped front and back, which made me wonder where all the space went to in what's not a very small car. Can't say I'd be drawn to an even smaller Lexus.
IS and above is where the Lexus goodness begins (in my opinion).
Really great review of the car Bob I really do love just how honest you are about them and I have to agree with you that you may as well buy a yaris abd save some money, as for you your a fighter so keep going keep showing up because your a legend, never stop what your doing top man ❤👌👍

Think you’ve summed it up very well Bob. Don’t think Lexus should go there, they do a lot really well and should just focus on that. Going to be a hard sell.

Yaris Cross is an underrated brilliant car. Just makes a lot of sense. Drove my Aunts one a few times. Very reliable, very economic. She loves the car. I'm in chr...I was impressed with yaris crossed. I started out in Toyota Starlet, what's on offer now is great for anyone looking for small suv.

I think they should keep going with the bigger stuff. Small Lexus isn’t the strong point
In the UK they are mostly a 4 cylinder SUV company now, shame as other markets get the GX, LX and still get the LS and LC.
@@CarsofGlasgow I think once the boy racers got their hands on the is200 from the early noughties and started cruising around with them dropped to the floor the brand lost all its appeal that the first LS400 had worked so hard to achieve.
Makes you wonder why UK leading mags make it ‘car of the year’ there’s so many better choices
