  • Hwy Guys,
This week I go camping in the Pop Up camper at Fort Churchill state park in Nevada. I have a campfire history talk on what really happened to Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid after they left the United States and went to Bolivia and then Argentina. How they died is not clear and theories and history of the 2 most famous Outlaws of the western frontier.
    Keep Hiking!

Brrrrrr...looked cold in your camper without any heat! But you made it thru the night & kept warm in your sleeping bag. Your story around the campfire was delightful & full of history. The steak dinner looked great. Thanks for the video, it was very enjoyable. I'm an avid camper & also waiting for the warmer weather. At least till April, here in Wisconsin. I have a teardrop camper with heat & an electric blanket, so very doable. Take care & stay safe.

Oof, making the best out of a frustrating situation, way to hang in there. Temperature is irrelevant at that point, cold is cold. Cooking and stories of the west, loved it. So do you think Butch lived through it and made his way back? I like to think so, not likely though. What are you're thoughts on Billy the Kid, did Garret really get him or did he live to be an old man? One theory is the dad of the lady he was sweet on, got him! Can't wait for the next one, what Western Legend from that area is next? Can't wait! Cheers and stay safe out there.

One of the best things about camping is simple meals! My family calls those potatoes “raw fries” because it starts with raw slices. Nothing better. Dollar tree has single serving bags of ready cooked brown, white or wild rice with white. Also very good frijoles. I’m a home cook, but these are nice for camping. I listen to one of your videos (or several) every day. Thanks!

Great story filling in some of the details that the movie omitted. Chris, did you see the TV show some years back where an older gentleman had traced letters and records from people who saw Butch back in the states, which he claimed proved that Butch returned alive, lived out his years and was eventually buried on his family's property? The show actually went to where his rumored burial site was at the family property, under a cabin as I recall, found a hole there but nothing else.

Thanks for sharing some Real history. It’s disgusting that They took it upon themselves to determine what should be in history books, and not; what serves the narrative.
Damn, forget that to the victor goes the spoils. They tell us what to do with our bodies, minds and lifestyles. What we have to have, what we don’t need; as well as what and we should dismiss. It’s time to unplug from the narrative if you already haven’t done so.
The spiritual was has been underway for a long time, but it has become clear that it’s coming to a head. The veil is thinning because others are here to help, watch or hinder. Slow down and take the time to really look into things for yourself. Don’t just regurgitate other’s opinions and the narrative. Figure out what triggers you and why.
What is really important? Why are they trying to divide us by ethnicity, religious beliefs and our right to freedom of choice?
Trust your gut, do the right thing and stand up for All.
    Thanks All

Chris you always have me worried after your story is over that you made it back to you vechicle. Have you ever been to Henry Coe State Park. I have myself and it’s a 100 square mile park with 50 lakes and ponds. Mississippi Lake is where I hiked to and it was a very hard hike ( what’s funny is you have to go over jackass peak on your final decent ti get to Mississippi Lake and after you do you will know why they call Jackass peak) lol each lake is so completely wild because the hike into most ponds or lakes is a hard hike. At Mississippi we descended down and saw hundreds of black dots speckled all over the beach . As we got closer they all started moving , they were black box turtles . After 2 days hiking into it we were literally fishing while sitting on our butts we were so out of shape but every trout we caught were 4-5 pounds. Than on the evening of the second or third day we saw these guys show up drinking cold bottled beers . We were shocked. We asked them how did they get there and how the heck could they have cold bottled beers ? They claimed to have the keys to the gates that only the rangers would have and told us the that the next day ( 4th day) if we wanted a ride out to meet them at 10 am on top of the hill above the beach . So the the 4th day we thought we would be their early and it took us 2 hours ti crawl to the top. We barely made it and these guys offered us cold beer and the weather was storming so bad the roads weee washing away on our way out. The guys were laughing but my friend Dave and me ( Karl) started thinking we were never to get out of there. A couple nights before while setting our camp on Jackass peak we were soaked because we had to walk across a large stream 5’ high holding our gear up in the air and when our camp was set we had what sounded like several coyotes surrounding our tent making there coyote noises for what seemed a long time. In the morning I got up first and saw a mountain lion near the trees across from us look at me and turned and walked in the forest. And on our descent to Mississippi we came across on a narrow foot trail a giant wrecking ball and it was the biggest we ever saw . We took pics and assumed a giant military helicopter has to have dropped it from the sky because our trail was so narrow and it was impossible to have footed there any other way . We were by no means movie backpackers and I even carried 2 gallons of water with me (70) pack . We still get mad at the signs that said enjoy your backpacking trip and all the beautiful sights. We never went back
