    I didn’t even know this existed. Fantastic review, Jeff. It does look like it has some very smart upgrades from the WeberQ and the rolling cart (or the camping table they stopped selling 5 years ago.)

    If you want a challenge, try assembling one of these grills ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt . I am a technician by trade and the technical instructions were easy to follow. No reading, just pictures and diagrams. You assemble everything in 5 steps from the bottom up. Step #1 - Assemble 4 Legs and Wheels; Step #2 - Add the Front Cover and Cross Bars to support the frame; Step #3- Assemble the Burner to the Lower Grill Housing and install the knobs; Step #4 - Install the Side Burner and side shelf; and Finally Step #5 - Install the Upper Char- Broil Lid, Cooking Racks, 3 Burner Railings and Lid Handle. That's It and you're done in about 2 hours and 40 minutes. You have the option to pay for assembly after making the purchase - I would strongly suggest that you take it if you don't want to be bothered with this challenge. The only tool I used was a Phillips head screwdriver and a standard pair of pliers. The grill cost a little more because of the side burner, but this is what makes the grill so versatile and popular among backyard grillers. Have fun and enjoy!

    I bought one at about $325. No regrets at all. This thing is the best. I have purchased non portable grills and they don't compare to this. Best part about Weber products is the parts are available at your local Home Depot. Best purchase in a while. I got mine cheap, but even at $500 it is a bargain. It just offered so much for the price.

    REALLY wish you would compare this to the 2 burner portable Napoleon grills. Both have scissor stands built in with wheels. But the Napoleon has both the TravelQ and the TravelQ Pro models. I've read that many prefer those because they have bigger lids so you can put whole chickens on the grill, but you can't with the Weber. Also the 2 burners let you actually have 1 burner on and put your wood chips and water and your meat on the other side and it'll smoke them over many hours. So you get a type of smoker with the grill which you can't really do on this one. LOVE all the details.

    Great review Ricer. I don't know how I missed this when you put it up. This is really a great grill. Not just for portable but many folks homes. I do wish it was a two burner though so you could do some indirect cooking ( whole chicken for example). But a nice dedicated grill is nice.

  • @jimdent351
    @jimdent351 2 месяца назад

    I've owned this grill for 3 years. I've used it off and on for a total of 5 or 6 weeks, and only on camping trips. Since it was so horrendous to clean it's been primarily used to cook hot dogs and vegetables, and I've used charcoal to cook meats that left a lot of drippings. It looks to be in near new condition but it has quit working due to a faulty regulator. Weber does not want to cover this item past a 2 year warranty even though there is warranty remaining on other parts of the grill, and that this is an item that is known to be a problem with them.
    I purchased 4 Weber grills over a 2 year period and all of them have had issues. Three of the grills had issues right out of the box. I just completed a second warranty claim on my Weber Genesis II because the warming rack has rotted out, and I will be making a second claim on my Weber Performer because the metal table is covered in rust after only 1.5 years. A friend of mine has purchased 2 Napoleon grills last year and zero issues. I recommend a different manufacturer.

I have seen this Weber portable grill a few weeks ago at Lowes and had an eureka moment. FINALLY! something sturdy and portable, and no need for big gas tank! Your video made me make my final decision. Going to Lowes right now to buy it!

    I don't have one yet. I found one locally, quite by accident and I've been researching it since. I already have a huge stainless grill, but just don't need something that large anymore. I also like the idea of interchangeable grates. I could put on the griddle and have pancakes on Saturday morning, then reinstall the grate and burgers or steaks that afternoon.

    Well done on doing the review. Had picked one up after doing some research. Best feature is the folding and easy portability. After that, mostly downhill. No versatility. No attachments like a half griddle or full griddle, which is crazy. Also one burner so no way to do indirect cooking plus takes a long time to heat up. Installing the gas bottle is awkward and cumbersome. Noticed you didn't show the part about putting the bottle on. Have sold it and moved on. The older weber grill had two burners and versatile attachments. What were they thinking??
