I had a ride on Wilde Maus and at first I just couldn't put my finger on it: a green track, no funhouse style queue and no initial big dip! After watching this video, it now makes sense - it's not the XXL version 😊

Whoa, for portable rides those look meticulously maintained. Really impressive fact about the amount of transport Olympia Looping requires to get to the event. As some a US viewer, I’d love to get a ride on it some day!

It really is incredible. In the night sky, with all the beautiful lights of winter wonderland! It's a must!
I used to live in Alberta Canada just outside of Calgary and every year at the local rodeo we had a ride like that but it only had 3 loops. There was another ride I’ve never seen anywhere else even on vlogs and it was designed like a ufo and you went inside and stood against a slanted wall and it spun round really fast a bit similar to the cage we have here that you stand in and gravity holds you in so you have no harness only it’s enclosed and doesn’t tip up on its side like the cage but if you could manage against the gravity pull you could turn yourself around so you was upside down and I would love to see that ride again although I’m slowly starting to not enjoy spinning rides it’s making me feel sick I much prefer coasters.
Only seen a couple of your other videos so far, subscribed and new to your channel. This is such a solid video, it’s expensive for friends and families to make informed choices about how to spend entertainment budgets. Your footage is exciting, realistic and honest, shows the whole event, how to get the best out of it, and the problems to avoid. Sorry to hear you had issues with filming, unfortunately, a growing trend. Keep up the amazing work, and up mostly, keep having fun.

I emailed 5 different people in regards to filming, asked showmen contacts and heard nothing back! It's a joke! It's not the fact that this is a rule it's the fact it's so inconsistent and it seems some enforce it and some don't, We need clarification on it by the event.
The event has become a cash cow since covid with paid entry and major price hikes with stale rides and lack of anything new, I'd honestly urge people to support the local showmen run Christmas events all over the UK for better value for money.

Only reason, that i can think of is: TPW is a big channel with a large reach to get people coming to the event, unlike smaller channels with a limited reach.. in other words: they want more money

Brilliant vlog, I’m glad you brought up the filming issues which seems a crazy rule at such an iconic event where people want to capture memories, it would be understandable if it was more safety reasons for Onride but even Merlin Parks allow Offride and they have thousands of visitors each week 👍🏻
Maybe the Met Police have requested it because of the tension with the Israel/Palestinian in regards to filming.
Don't want something going 'Viral' Suppose people still have their mobiles?
Do wonder if some less safety conscious 'Vloggers' & '(Joe Public) are putting people at risks by handholding cameras whilst on rides.
And not using straps on their Go Pros' etc
Maybe they don't want videos of their rides failing being shared on social media, like their slingshot ride

American viewer here. I was lucky enough to spend 2 weeks in the England back in 2017. We spent a few days in London and was able to go and enjoy winter wonderland. It was great. Plan on going back in 5-6 years from now. My England stay was definitely a highlight of my life!

I’m from the US and by coincidence saw the legendary Oktoberfest coaster from my hotel room. Never thought I’d get the chance to experience such a legendary coaster! The festival was very fun and lively and seems like a cool tradition for London
We also had trouble re: filming… it seems so silly! Great work as usual!
Fantastically put at the end re the filming, it was the same for us. But to then say ‘keep it on the low’ means even security thing the policy is daft and unenforceable. Everyone has a camera in their pocket. It left the same taste in our mouths too.
Perhaps worried after the accident last year which is why they are so paranoid? Either way, completely bizarre.

How do you stay positive at an event when they tell you not to film? This just brings me down and I start to just see negatives everywhere. I respect you saying you'll keep filming here no matter what, unfortunately I cant vlog somewhere I am not welcome.
Thank you. I wanted to capture the best content and overall look at the event as always. It did leave a very sour taste in our mouth though and puts us off visiting as much as usual!

It's so funny to see some of the rides that I've seen just a few months ago at the german faird randomly in a video about a London based event! It seems a bit small maybe (?) but still fun. Fairs have just gotten crazy expensive sadly
Hey guys absolutely loved that, wish it was longer! 💗 it’s so nice to see it all, I’ve been a few times but my 2 girls are really small so it’s hard to get around it all… so thanks for showing the whole place. I can’t believe the prices this year tho they have gone up! Think I might do the Christmas tree ride with my 2 year old and might try wild mouse with my 6 year old (she will love that) I can’t believe it’s been a year, only seems like yesterday I was watching last years one… hope to see more videos like this over the Christmas period…. I was there Friday evening, the queues to get in were ridiculous. Had my first ever ride on Munich Looping, it was surprisingly fast and smooth.
It really needs better entrance infrastructure
Awesome vlog as ever from the great Hyde Park Winter Wonderland event. Some beautiful intense rides there including the magnificent Munich Looping Coaster and Mouse coaster. Surprised to see Ice Mountain closed along with one or two other big rides. Some great bars and food tent’s available really does get you in the Christmas mood. Nice vlog shame about the strict photography rule👏🏻👏🏻

Really enjoyed the vlog both. It's a massive event, very well set out and brilliantly themed, great fun atmosphere too. Getting much pricier now but still popular. Will be such a pity if they're funny about filming in the future. I also agree those shocking entrance queue times definitely need sorting and speeding up

We have a winter wonderland in Bedford, Bedfordshire this year. In bedfords main park, Massive wheel being installed too. My parents mentioned it as they were the people who told me London’s ticketed.
wow what another great vlog shawn it looks amazing winter wonderland this year cant get over how big it looks on such a grand scale would love to visit one year but am in manchester way so tricky for me to get too but great to have folks like you taking us for the ride and i know what certain fun fair classic ride would suit there to add to the event think you know which one i mean😉 where charlotte likes to get rocked around 🤣 always goes down well that but liked how you gave out what to look for if we go and what certain times to go on the rides but thats the first time ive ever heard big event like that youve been told by member of staff that filming isnt allowed which is so bizarre when youve done it before doesnt make sense 🤔🤷♂but least the guy was friendly about it but still not a good sign least you told them at the end and gave them constructive feedback on it but great vlog as always shawn look forward to more xmas ones love this time of the year 😍

Hello my darlings thankyou for filming this lovies it all looks lovely I have just seen the end about you filming and I can't believe it if it wasn't for people like you I would not have even known about it or what it was like so next time they say anything just ask them how they expect people to know about it unless all they are bothered about is the same people that go every year and they don't want to attract any new visitors all the info you give out is so if someone like me wanted to bring my grandkids etc I know what is there the food options etc they don't deserve people like you guys letting people know about it if they cant be bothered thankyou my darlings for filming it I for one appreciate it and I'm sure I'm not alone xx

Great vlog loved watching it I used to do onride videos last year but it’s just gotten too stressful for me to the point that I’ve had to stop doing them this year ever since I’ve stopped I have enjoyed myself a lot more being at funfairs etc

This looks like a nice event, but the prices seem a bit steep. I can imagine an evening out for a family with food and drinks being hundreds of pounds! Nice to see Charlotte doing a few more solo pieces to camera, so confident in her presenting style now. Great to see 👍

@@kod999Honestly speaking If she is suggesting it run a mile because she’s not interested in you she only wants to be able to post to her instagram story that she was there without telling anyone she paid for none of it. Take her for a coffee first date. See if you vibe. If you do suggest this event and see what she thinks. Don’t suggest this for a first date or accept her request for this to be a first date. Your choice though. Spend £15-£20 in a coffee shop of £150-£200 here. For a first date I know what I’d rather do !

Talking of cost, go to Greggs and get a breakfast sausage sandwich. My last one had more or less 3 cocktail sausages in it. I won't be going back! Big companies jumping on the band wagon and taking the mick!

The queues were big because it's a weekday most people don't finish work till 6 and then I expect they want to get ready before coming in

Great blog and thoroughly informative as usual. I personally feel that The Hyde park Christmas fair looks a bit of a rip off. A lot of the Christmas fairs and German markets around the U.K. are losing their charm sadly. So glad you guys had a wonderful time once again this year though. 😊
Yes they will lose more than there charm considering people don't have the money anyone to buy luxury items
When I go out I tend to have a budget of 20 pound for me then 20 for my brother
The winter wounder land in my area charges you to get inside and you have to pay extra if you want a sit down meal I know there has been a lot of anger at this considering the UK is in a cost of living crisis

I was standing on the 68th floor of the shard last night 18/11/23 and you can see winter wonderland!!!! I was up there at 1900 so it was dark and winter wonderland looked amazing, I’m coming to winter wonderland 9/12/23

I went in 2015 so I've never been on Munich Looping (and I wouldn't have anyway), is it intense at all with the double loop. The most I've done is probably Nemesis Inferno second to back row or in the middle of The Swarm.
Edit: What are the manufacturers of the 5 roller coasters?
Finally, it’s open! I’m going here in early December! I’m hopefully gonna get some rides on München Looping and Wilde Maus. It’s sad they now have a standard wild mouse instead of Wilde Maus XXL.

We're a family of 5, to ride the looping coaster it would cost £55, that's ridiculous. Probably talking about £400 easy to go. What a joke

Today, 4 people in my family (some relatives came over to go to a concert) are riding Olympia Looping with fastrack. It costs £48!
@StephenGold-kr7df not when the cost of 1 ride can get you a ticket to a theme park. London or not, this is how events like this end up stopping, why can't everyone enjoy events like this. I'm a nurse and this year I'm doing nothing but work and can't afford to do anything related to Christmas this year. I have to prioritise my finances. But events like this have rocketed in price every year and its getting out of hand

I can't justify the cost when you could do a whole theme park for like 20 to 30 quid on a decent deal.

Great vlog as per usual ! The no filming comments at the end were surprising. They said you can’t be filming Tiktoks yet you went thorough a funhouse that promoted them ? I assume the rides and attractions are independent and pay to be at the event but the fact they wouldn’t even brief them is funny 😂

I got a Bratwurst Sausage at Sheffield Christmas Markets and it was only £7 and it was delicious and it was properally cooked over a coal fire too and the bread roll was nice and crisp

Interesting to hear about the filming issues, we went on the Saturday and didn't get challenged. Their T&Cs state you need permission but it is surely in their interest to allow especially channels with a huge reach like yours to film as it is free promotion. Seems a bit silly.
