- Do we prefer to fish and catch them ourselves? You betcha, but come along when we go with "Plan B" and head down to the docks to procure ourselves some live, fresh Tanner crab.

Oh man do those crab cakes look good! I'm drooling!
Rupert, the looks were secondary to the taste (amazing). Even re-heated for lunch at work (don’t worry, didn’t break protocol by using the radar range, old fashion toaster-oven is all I’ll use, especially for anything out of the ocean 😁), I was pretty popular in the break room that day.
I lived and worked on F/V Brianna Holley for a couple months outta St Paul harbor. Man, I miss that place. So beautiful!!
It’s a wonderful place for sure. Glad you got to see a little flash from the past 😎
That looks good, all we have here in FL are blue crab and stone crab, they are good but lots of picking required on a little blue crab and stone crab is pricey! I guess that’s the benefit of dealing with all that cold and snow!
It’s awesome up here, but certainly not convenient or comfortable 😉
Yep in ga here blue crab delicious but to hard to clean for little meat
Flip flops in February is common in Colorado, as are shorts in February!
Exactly 😎
Makes me want to get on a plane to Kodiak!!
You cant do that you would be a tourist :-D
Not exactly, I'd be visiting family!
We use Zataran on shrimp. Only problem is we are 800 miles from fresh shrimp. Enjoy fresh
Funny enough, we plan to try fishing for shrimp this summer🤞
Looks fun! You’re making it hard not to visit!
It’s hard to leave…. We’ll keep a light on for ya 😎
I'm curious, how much were those 7 beautiful crabs?
We bought crab a few times this season (some for us, some for friends), if memory serves they were averaging $7-$10 each. While not a bad price, our gear is nearly thawed so soon we’ll be dropping our pots & catching our own again 😎
