nice load of crab, I love how you guys always appear so calm and relaxed while conducting all of your fishing. Makes a big difference and it shows. Fantastic Family business. Great hard working folks.
Man , Some guys have all the fun. The production Has really come a long way. The balance of action and the amazing scenery and drone clips is awesome. Thanks EIS Alaska.
Super Crab pot's!! You Guy's are a Great Team to work together so well!! Wonderful to see!!! The weather and Ocean is very flat, that is Special buy it's Self!!! Thank you for Sharing and stay Safe!!!!💞
Love Tristan’s new found sense of humor !!! Watch out for him Matt, his coiling skills are getting better. Before you know it, he’s got the picking hook and the ability to run the hydro’s for it. Great catch gentlemen and thanks for another great video.
What a wonderful thing to be able to work together as a family! Add to this the beauty of this part of the world... blessings! I truly enjoy following your Vlog! This from the east coast of Canada!
I loved Kodiak Island the times I was there. I fished the Karluk River with Larry Sugak a couple times; some of the finest silver and sockeye fishing I have ever enjoyed. There are good kings in the Karluk as well. Truly and emerald isle!
You have hauled some very fine pots on this run, no doubt about that! How strong is the current running out where the string hand been laid in? Matt, you have a good sense of operation with your drone flights! Combined with the background sounds, I would suggest you have an optional video for easy listening enjoyment that could be attached to your business website, as a bonus for good results! -Bob...
Wow, you guys are killing it this year. Been watching for a couple seasons and haven't seen you pull up so many crab. I can see why they raised the quota this year. Did you ever get more than 2.50/lb.? It's always the guys that do all the work that make the least amount. Thanks for sharing and making my mind tell me I have to pick up some crab for dinner. Great drone footage.
Thanks. The fleet ended up voting to fish for their own markets. Lowest posted price was 3,25/ lb. Hopefully all the processors retro prices to match each other. Time will tell.
We do fish in rough weather. It is just really hard to capture it. Gopros don't show depth of field very well, so even when it is rough out it looks fairly nice. It is also really hard to film with all the spray and wind noise.
That's pretty cool how full the pots are, I've never done anything like this but I love eaten em. How many pounds did you pull up that day? Seriously awesome seeing you do so well. 👍🤞
Well you will be happy to know that in 25 years of fishing our vessel of the coast of Kodiak we have had 0 injuries. Can't say that for most crabbers out there.
I follow a middle aged gentleman and his wife who run a 16' fibreglass boat out of the Channel Islands. Troy has been making his living for many years trapping Lobsters and Spider Crabs, big Spider Crabs. In productive areas he will run one trap tethered to a second trap with 50 to ,100 feet of line.Lobstdrs don't like go to far from their hides so where there are a few lobsters and crab he uses the two traps. He has a hydraulic hoist as well. I notice that often you have a split inn pot captured and wondered if doing this would make any sense at all.
How many keepers was in the pot at 6:22and 15:15? that`s some big ones. Keep up the good work guy`s and the nice and informative vids. Love from Norway.
Because you are on about the same latitude as Maine and New Brunswick, do you have lobsters in the Alaska area waters? Also, from your catch of tanners, do you occasionally take one or two and boil them up for your lunch or dinner (personal use)?
We just love this team! They are awesome and work together like no others! Thank you for this breath of fresh air guys!
You basically beat me to the comment!! 😂😂. I definitely agree.
The drone footage is awesome. Thank you for taking us along.

Good morning guys! You always seem to have calm sees in all your videos! Have you ever gone out in really rough waters?
We do fish in rough weather. It is just really hard to capture it. Gopros don't show depth of field very well, so even when it is rough out it looks fairly nice. It is also really hard to film with all the spray and wind noise.

This is like crabbing 101, if they made a series it could be called “ could get injured Catch “
