Because of the Live Coverage of the football match at Euro 2000, Michael Buerk presents BBC News from Tuesday 20th June 2000 at our studios from Westminster. The BBC Television Centre causes lots of power failures as a result of a backup generator caught by fire. The BBC programmes and all radio services are all taken of the air and all of which have been disrupted while thousands of staff had to be evacuated from the building and the initial fault was at the substation after huge power cut being hit in West London.
