How could you not love the guy? Great player, wonderful gentle humour and a generous spirit. Travel well, Ray.
Different , top class. Inspirational!
RIP Ray Reardon. Thanks for the entertainment and memories. 🙏🏼
💔😢 I can't express just how sad I was to hear the sad news that the legendary Ray Reardon had passed away. He was my late father's most favourite snooker player of all time as he was mine, I'd have to agree. This man was a true gentleman, on and off the table. I'm in my 65th year of life and have never heard a bad word spoken against this man. He will be deeply missed as he leaves us to go and play that great Gig in the sky with those God's who have watched him play for so long. So long Ray 🏴
64 here and fondly look back at his era when Snooker seemed a lot less money oriented but had many more characters !
A true Welsh man and may I say LEGEND.
Should never have coached Ronnie O'Sullivan, there were other players needing advice
A legend that takes us back to better times . Rest in peace Mr Reardon, a life well lived.
A Legend finally retires...Great player & a great man...RIP Ray you will be remembered forever
R.i.p. ray you are an all time snooker great. I met him once at butlins minehead and i got his autograph it made my day meeting my snooker hero. Tremendous player with great break building skills and safety play on the green baize. He is irreplaceable.
Pot Black really did bring snooker properly to our modern way of life.
Ray was without doubt one of the best players ever. A very tough opponent for many.
I first saw him in 1967 in what was then a rare exhibition, and watched him both live & on TV since - Had a few chats with him along the way - definitely my hero. Enjoyed every minute!!!
Sad day, genuine nice bloke and a top player rip mr reardon

I’m a massive Ronnie O’Sullivan fan & don’t underestimate how Reardon coming in to mentor him during that 2004 world championship was the genesis to Ronnie’s dominance as the greatest player of all time!

You not my boss
Yeah but the first two world finals were played in my mum's back room.
Ray was a legend of snooker, one of the best players of all time. His tactical game was second to none. RIP Ray. ❤
I think he invented gamesmanship before it was ever thought of because not only would he beat you on the snooker table he would play to the persona of 'dracula' to intimate an opponent in a game. a man who had a strong competitive mindset, psychology and mind games, perhaps ahead of his time.
The " Count Dracula" of snooker. RIP Ray
Bless you Ray a great champion and gent a very genuine person with the gods on the other side RIP Raymond
Could I have the rest now please 👍🇬🇧

A Gentleman never caused any trouble or issues,Think on "Mr Rocket" your couldn't lace his shoes! 🏴
Sad comment, show some respect. This is about Ray,why even bring Ronnie into it?
@@GG-ml3vr because everyone in engerlandsheer latches on to osullkivan and think the world shines out of his @r&e! When really he's rude arrogant and ignorant!
On holiday at Butlins Minehead, I was chosen to referee an exhibition. In 5 frames, Rays best breaks were an 86,70 and a 64 clearance. Possibly not in the best viewing position, one shot I thought he slid the cue ball past missing the object ball, and called a foul. Ray immediately corrected me saying he did indeed make the slightest contact. Without hesitation I took his word and changed my decision. Bending down to line up a shot, he sat down on my mums lap. He won all 5 frames by the way.
Total and utterly legend.
Simply the best God bless you ray 🙏
A true great RIP
God bless him a legend rip ray.
Lovely guy a real talent and a gentleman and a terrific snooker player 6 times world champion RIP RAY top bloke 👍
I played him many times in the holiday camp in Minehead where he used to work in the summer...he was world champion and had to work....how times have changed. Obviously he was a great snooker player but he was such a really nice guy.

On pot black He made a snooker with a white behind the back from the baulk … I was in awe, I was 10 years old
Met him once in local pharmacy ,,told him to get to the end of the queue .
Might have been funny if you’d said cue.
@@paulholgate4664 was a play on words !!!
R.I.P. Ray; if there are any snooker halls in Heaven he will be playing.
God bless to a gent and true talent.
Legend 😍
Rest in peace a true snooker legend
A true Welsh man God bless you Ray
I remember him coming to the Harrington pub in Gloucester Road and entertaining - they had a snooker room upstairs and three excellent tables. We had a less than perfect table in the bar at the Royal College of Music in Prince Consort Road and this one particular chap used to beat me all the time - so when we booked a proper table at the Harrington, I whipped him in 20 minutes.
RIP, Ray, I have really good memories of you from the 70s.
