    Sorry the late response Jamie. I love to see scenery especially during the fall along with 2102 working through the mountains! 2102 is sure a hell of a beast that’s for sure! Sorry for what happened Jamie.

    Howdy Jamie! It's Joe from Binghamton. When you thoroughly brightened my spirits selling me my open air car LGSR ticket on 10/11, I had no idea what you had just endured the Sat prior. I'm very glad that you're ok and am sorry to hear about your truck.
    Your profound generosity in sharing your 2102 Voyager JTOS ride with Andy and adorable Willis is so GREATLY appreciated! I shouted 'Corvair!' the same time you guys did BTW! Tremendous job with this video. I'm proud to be one of your many YT groupies! :)

    0:30, Logan here, No problem at all! Glad I was able to help! It still surprises me that nobody else besides me and Justin were there to help you out.
    I hope everything has gotten better since the accident! and I hope you enjoyed the trip home on the back of 2102! I didn't even notice you were on the back of it till we noticed you at New Ringgold.
    I also went through the video and found where me and Justin were throughout the return trip, for anyone interested about who we are.
    8:26, To the left by the Danger pole.
    14:26, To the left by the removed railroad tie's.
    19:29, To the right by the gravel pile.
    32:57, To the left behind the white truck, this is where we first saw you on the back of the train.
    49:54, To the right just after the crossing.

    Hey Jamie. I hate hearing how upset you are, friend. I know how much that truck meant to you. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured. How wonderful that members of your rail family came together to help you out. I’m probably just going to shut up and watch this.

      Hey there Dennis! Thanks as always for your kind words. I'm still grieving the loss of that truck and just can't seem to move past it. That Tacoma was my dream truck. I worked hard and sacrificed so much to buy it and ultimately pay it off. It took more money and work to keep it looking and running like new, and the insurance settlement of course did not take any of that into account. Unfortunately inflation has put another Tacoma out of reach for me. The settlement was only enough to get one older and in questionable condition, and I did not want to chance that. So unfortunately having my dream truck is a thing of the past. I know a lot of people say to move on, but it's hard financially and hard emotionally. There's also the role that truck played in the early years of my channel. So many adventures, so many memories. I think you can relate to that with what the Love Shack means to you as well. Hopefully you'll be recovering quickly and able to return to boondocking with her really soon. Be well my friend!

      Thanks so much! Dealing with the insurance company has been the absolute worst part of the whole thing, and it's still not full resolved. I miss that truck very much too. Apart from that there were so many great parts of the day with the morning chase going well and the ride on the back of the train more epic than words can ever convey.

    Jamie - Sorry about your misfortune, hopefully there were no injuries. With that said, lemonade from lemons is an understatement, this is just a huge silver lining in your cloud of misfortune. You certainly are truly blessed working in an organization that is that caring in the well-being of its team. Just a great film effort location!! Take care, stay well and safe!!

      Thanks! Sadly I'll never have another Tacoma though as they've gotten ridiculously expensive. Hoping to get some 425 updates when possible, but there hasn't really been much to show recently. Now that 2102 is done for the season though, I'm hoping they can get back to work on 425.

    Jamie, glad you're ok after the wreck. I'd be willing to have my car totaled if it would get me ride on an open air platform observation car! Thanks for a spectacular video!

    • @JamieMakin
      @JamieMakin  8 дней назад

      Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks!! It really was an amazing experience! I'd still give anything to have my truck back though. My Tacoma was old and high mileage, but it was my dream truck and I worked so hard to pay it off and keep it looking and running like new. The insurance settlement I got was not enough to get another Tacoma in decent condition, so I'll likely never own another one. Hopefully I'll have another chance to ride on the end of the train someday, but hopefully without such bad circumstances leading to it. I'm really glad I could share the experience with everyone though, because it's something most folks will never get to do, and I'm in the unique position of having gotten to do it.

    37:55 Rumor is that the ex TVRM 6134 RDC will be stripped of any and all remaining RDC equipment and will become a locomotive hauled coach. (Think Boise BUDD).

    • @JamieMakin
      @JamieMakin  12 дней назад

      If it happens I'll be sad that it won't be restored to running condition, but I still consider that a better option than seeing it scrapped.

    You must be moving up the corporate ladder now, getting the ride of a lifetime! Sooo, you lost your road vehicle, but that does happen, material things can be replaced, but not the human side. Any word on the 7128?🤔? Whats next? a cab ride on 2102🤔 ?

    • @JamieMakin
      @JamieMakin  12 дней назад

      Lol! Well I've got a good job at the railroad now, but I'm not that far off the bottom of the ladder. I'm enjoying the heck out of it though which is more important. Sadly I can't replace that truck with another like it as inflation has put them far out of reach, so I'm still majorly bummed about that day. I'm not sure what 7128 is? As for a 2102 cab ride, I'd gladly take that too if it's ever offered. I think there's a lot of folks ahead of me in line for that though lol.
