My honest thoughts on the STEPR + (Plus) model. Is it an awesome at home stair climber solution or an overpriced gamble on a new product line?

NOTE: Part of why I agreed to do this review was to hopefully make sure a promo code would be in place for you guys to save some money off, however they instead given a code that give you 36 month protection plan free when it's also added to cart at checkout. Just use code "MIKE". Regardless, I will keep you all posted on the longevity and issues this machine may have in the future considering its cost.
Yep, new gym checklist;
1) How many squat racks
2) How heavy do the dumbbells go
3) Do they have a Stairmaster
You nailed it with that list. Nothing worse than being on a strength program and the racks are taken. Then to proceed do to arm circles leg swings as you stalk people
I bought the classic last month, I haven’t used it regularly yet because I have to remove the drywall ceiling to get more height clearance I’m 5’5” and I’m right at the threshold for clearance . Just trying it out after I assembled it, I really believe I’m going to really like this STEPR. I didn’t get the touch screen for all the bells and whistles because that’s available on my tv in the gym. This classic console is a beast itself.
I've actually still been using mine consistently since this review and do love it. I think the classic console might be the way to go.
I always wanted to try a commercial grade vertical climber. Probably would use less space also.
The Matrix commercial ones were always my favorite and they weren't too big.
Great review as usual. We appreciate you putting these things through their paces, especially at that price.
I had the opportunity to review the product before it came out, but I had major concerns about being a size 13 foot and the small steps. It looks like they had to sacrifice some ergonomics for taller people for a smaller footprint.
Their communication, to be honest, had been lacking after our initial call and I decided to wait and see if the company would still even be around for the long term.
Thanks Stevie. Your foot and build for sure would be tight. As you know, they're affiliated with Force USA in some capacity, but they seem much different in the way they are communicating with their affiliates. Always want to give people the benefit of the doubt, but you and I get to experience the other side the customers don't see.
All black, groundbreaking.
Takes several months to come in. I’ve been given four different ship dates and I still don’t have it. It’s going on third month.
Great review! Unfortunately for me, I don’t think I could get over the narrow steps. I get that it is needed for the space constraints, but I’d end up just using my rower instead. Thanks Mike!
Thanks as always for watching. The cardio quest continues....
Meh, I’d like to see more buying options, price cuts for low tech options for those of us who do not want integrated touch screens. I’m not into paying for tech features, forced subscription models, dependency on software/app updates I would choose not use
I agree. The company should sell a no-screen stepper. I'm not going to buy a stepper with a touch screen.
I hear you. They have models with no screen options which I think will be better for most people.
@@shiwakuseven5859 yeah I build platforms usually with garage shelving units for my cardio pieces. If I want to read a book, play Tetris, watch RUclips videos/music, type documents, I can
Can you review the body solid endurance CL300, which seems to be a budget version of the versa climber magnetic?
I will look into that. Thanks for the suggestion.
I always wanted one of these but don't have the space. Im.jealous of anyone who owns once
*one
I'm interested in buying a stepper. However, I don't want a video monitor. I rather just have the actual stepper.
I think most people are probably on the same page.
Thumbs up for "What About Bob?"
I had a segment I edited out about how this is easily in my top 5 movies.
Man, $4300 +tax ? Those treads look a little suspect, but I guess that's what happens when you try to squeeze a
commercial design into something for the home. For people who want to get completely blasted aerobically,
at a more comfortable price point ($1500), check out the Bowflex Max Trainer offerings. I have the SE model, in 10 minutes
it will have you sucking wind and crying for your mommy. Mike, I bet they'll send you one for free to review.
Thanks Ricco. I'll look into that. I know Bowflex got recently sold off so I'm curious in general what their company future will be.
