  • The Midlands around the Birmingham area is home to 6 historic football teams: Wolverhampton Wanderers, Walsall, West Bromwich Albion, Aston Villa, Birmingham City & Coventry City. Some of these teams form some very nasty rivalries in English Football and if you’re from the Midlands, you’ll have probably visited most of these stadiums. But what’s the stadiums actually like to go around? Which is better? Molineux Stadium or the Hawthorns? St Andrews or Villa Park? Bescot Stadium or the Coventry Building Society Arena?
    Ninh explains!

Great video mate - showcases how dense this area is for football clubs and stadia. The pitch on the back of Walsall is astro usually used for the community side of the club such as summer training camps - our training ground is in essington. We’ve recently had new American owners trivela group and they have committed to revamping the Saddlers club so hopefully it’s back up and running in the near future. 👍🏻

I'm an American West Brom fan and did the tour at The Hawthorns a few years ago when went I went over to England. Not very flashy, but they are very welcoming. There's no museum at the stadium, but a lot of historical posters and artefacts in the corridors. And some actual trophies... including the 1920 first division trophy. The guide I had was quite knowledgeable. And when I mentioned that I was a Yank visiting from California, they gave me a stack of matchday programmes.

I wasn’t the biggest fan myself of the CBS at first, only until last season I started to enjoy going there because the atmosphere is electric. In the future if wasps keep struggling financially then we could have the possibility of buying it and in years to come we can start making history in it. I’ve got to be honest I’d much rather stick with what we have then take a gamble and lose that special atmosphere as the fans are relatively close to the pitch still and SINGERS CORNER. I love the Hawthorns yet the Halfords lane stand is to small. I understand that the main road makes it harder to expand that stand, but it's still possible. Adding an upper tier of about 4,000 seats would increase the capacity to just over 30,000, for me our current capacity of 27,000 is not good enough for today's game. Also the Corners of the West Stand could have upper tiers too

    • @UltimateBucketList
