    It's always great to see that there is still a place in the world where retro games are affordable. Even when there are expensive games in Japan too, you can have a great time all the cheap ones. Anyway, it would be great to see a video in the same style for the GameCube, because GameCube game prices in Europe/North America are out of control.

    • @RetroMoments

      Right Vlono!? I agree with you here. Imagine how much fun you could have with Mario Kart 64 for 10 dollars for example!

    Thanks for retro game hunting tour! (17:57) contains also one odd item バイオセンサー (bio sensor for N64, which measures player's heart rate.. it seems that Tetris was only game to support this sensor..) Really nice combination of N64 related accessories, consoles and games! Here are suggestions for next hunt: Game Boy, PSP or Nintendo DS.

    Just the video I was looking for! I am collecting Japanese N64 titles and around 50 titles away from the completion... Glad N64 is still not that expensive compared to other retro games (like NEOGEO)... but the price definitely increased since COVID-19 pandemic. Hope that the price does not escalate till my visit to Japan this November. How many stores are there in Nagoya for N64 games? Compared to other retro games, it seems less N64 games available.
    Thanks for the video once again! And what a piece for Pickachu Blue N64... Definitely want to have that.

    • @RetroMoments
      @RetroMoments  6 месяцев назад

      Hey! Hope you had a great trip and found some new N64 games to add to your collection! Definitely, the right choice to go for a complete set and not break the bank. Prices have gone up but are definitely still affordable. Pretty much every Game Store / used media store has N64 games. But just like you said, there are not as many as for other systems. Fewer games were released and not a popular system in Japan.

    Har ingen större koll på N64. Minns att jag körde Goldeneye i multiplayer med kusinerna när jag var liten och har kört lite Mario 64. Riktigt kul att dom har så många sådana spelbutiker i Japan hursomhelst. Hur det är upplagt och presenterat ibland med trånga hyllor och ganska simplistiskt, känns en del som vissa spelbutiker på 90-talet

    • @RetroMoments

      GoldenEye var banbrytande på den tiden! Har också spelat det otroligt mycket tsm med Mario Kart! Riktigt härliga minnen där.
      Visst! Fantastiskt kul att springa runt i dessa butiker. Och jag håller med. Det lite som en tidsmaskin i vissa butiker. Underbar känsla!

    How do you play final fantasy or Pokémon games without knowing Japanese? Lol that’s why platforms, shumps, fighting and racing is better to grab unless it’s super cheap and you want the art. Did you see chameleon Twist? Very cheap prices for N64 $2 and $3. Snowboard kids $4 bucks that’s Amazing I don’t that snowboard kid and it’s too expensive in Canada ebay.

      Well, text based games in Japanese is going to be rough haha. Its more like if you already knew the game or played it when growing up. Otherwise like you said, I focus more on platformers, shooters, racing and fighting games instead. And artwork is always 100% better in Japan :D

    It always blows my mind that they redo all the box art on these games... what a waste of effort. 99% of the time the Japanese box art is way better. Just translate and ship, jeeze

      100% agree with you! Its Absolutely crazy that they thought they had to change it. But then again, Japanese anime wasnt as big back then.
