I heard him first singing with Home Free, ring of fire. It is memorial day here today which is very somber but this has brightened my spirits and put me in the Christmas spirit for sure. My Aunt-in-law sent their “Little Drummer Boy” years ago, right after it came out, and I was instantly hooked. I must have listened to that song 5 times in a row, right then and there. When “Hallelujah” first came out - I listened to and watched it many, many times. I listened to it every night for months. I love it, I love them. Love all their songs and love all of them! Tell me... how long did it take for YOU to become a true Pentaholic?
My first Pentatonic experience was Hallelujah, which of course, sets the bar very high. I am a huge fan of harmony and no group has ever done it better. Being 62, I am a product of the 50's and 60's music from childhood. I was kid #6 and was forced to listen to my older siblings choices. Thankfully, they had great taste and my love of true harmony was born. I was a Pentaholic from day one and not a day goes by that I am not listening to them...at least once but more like a dozen. :)
🤔 don't remember but their first or second christmas album. And I fell down the whole hand not being an american I had to dig up and watch all their performances on the SingOff. You should watch them too past Christmas! Theyvwere so YOUNG and so talented. Had never heard anything like that.
I love seeing you grow into your Pentaholix addiction. I have been a fan for a long, long time. I bumped into their version of Telephone (which was the first video that just Kirsty, Mitch and Scott did for fun). The video went viral and I caught the bug early on. I don't want to give too much away to you as I love sharing the discovery that you are going through. No matter how I am feeling with stones or otherwise, they are always a joy to listen to and have been my favourite band for a very long time. I’ve joined the Barry Bus! I became a pentaholic about eight years ago, when I first found them again after Sing-Off (the competition show they won back in 2011) . One of my favourites is Angels We Have Heard on High. From the same era as Carol of the Bells - the first time I ever heard it I genuinely thought the first line was sung by an alto and the whole arrangement is just gorgeous.

@@terrilabeth my rule is if you’re going to do Christmas decorations… go all out! Nutcrackers aren’t really a Christmas decoration here in Ireland but I do see one or two. August? Really? I would normally start putting up the decorations on November 25th and keep adding stuff over the weeks. If it takes years to find the song, we’ll that’s how long it takes. We can’t rush such an important decision. That’s against the law. I’m a typical guy I leave Christmas shopping to the last minute if not second but for the important people in my life I buy in advance and give meaningful gifts. @@ItsmeBarryHi B ☘️!!!! We did too many decorations to start it after Thanksgiving. I tried to get Annie to stop with just the 3 trees but that plan didn’t work. We had not done much decorating in I don’t know, 3 years previously when various people were sick and Annie was determined to make up for that. Plus it felt like we didn’t have time to enjoy it all? The nutcrackers were my Dad’s one and only contribution, he loved them and started collecting. It kinda got out of control, I said over a hundred but it is a LOT over a hundred. People started buying them for him. We group them together like a choir, propped up in rows, and you adjust and adjust until all faces are showing. They create quite the statement piece but living with them you either love them or the creep you out, staring at you while you watch tv? I love them but I tend to like creepy things (except ticks, spiders, bugs and snakes.) Soldiers were his favorite but we have all kinds….females too, some from different countries and nationality’s, we are diverse….anyway, a lot of creepy dudes staring at me seems quite normal? 😂 Are you trying to get on my Christmas list via a P.O. Box B ☘️?!?! 🧐 😂 We’ll see, we’ll see…. 😂 😂 😂 That seems very impersonal for Besties? 🧐 🧐 🧐 But yes, it is a great idea for you to have a P.O. Joy To The World goes pop/rock! Very catchy arrangement. I'm now at the point where with every Pentatonix video, I wait patiently for that Kirstie Moment! I am sincerely now believing that she may very well be the best female pop singer in the world. Almost all of the others need various audio tricks to sound better, both in the studio and on stage. She doesn't. I've been recently watching a lot of the videos of her various live performances (both solo and with the group) and she nails it every time. Even in some where she messes up the lyrics, she has a really adorable way of laughing it off and recovering quickly. BTW, Cracker Barrel is a national USA chain of restaurants that features country-style "comfort foods". They're pretty good too. They also have their own record label and sell the CDs at most of their locations.

With every video I’m becoming more and more obsessed with Pentatonix and there will be many, many more PTXmas reactions in the coming weeks. Now for my little question. Tell me... how long did it take for YOU to become a true Pentaholic?
My first Pentatonic experience was Hallelujah, which of course, sets the bar very high. I am a huge fan of harmony and no group has ever done it better. Being 62, I am a product of the 50's and 60's music from childhood. I was kid #6 and was forced to listen to my older siblings choices. Thankfully, they had great taste and my love of true harmony was born. I was a Pentaholic from day one and not a day goes by that I am not listening to them...at least once but more like a dozen. :)

🤔 don't remember but their first or second christmas album. And I fell down the whole hand not being an american I had to dig up and watch all their performances on the SingOff. You should watch them too past Christmas! Theyvwere so YOUNG and so talented. Had never heard anything like that.
I love seeing you grow into your Pentaholix addiction. I have been a fan for a long, long time. I bumped into their version of Telephone (which was the first video that just Kirsty, Mitch and Scott did for fun). The video went viral and I caught the bug early on. I don't want to give too much away to you as I love sharing the discovery that you are going through. No matter how I am feeling with stones or otherwise, they are always a joy to listen to and have been my favourite band for a very long time. You should search up the Telephone song, perhaps after the Christmas celebration is over. Bravo for another great review of another great PTX song.

I have this album, actually I have all their albums.
My first time hearing them was when Little Drummer Boy was making its way around facebook, I loved their fresh take and style. Then the following year Mary Did You Know came around, as I sat in PURE AWE with tears streaming down my face...THAT WAS IT!! One of my favourites is Angels We Have Heard on High. From the same era as Carol of the Bells - the first time I ever heard it I genuinely thought the first line was sung by an alto and the whole arrangement is just gorgeous.
I was hooked after their very first cover I heard. ❤️ They are an incredible group of talented singers, as well as musicians. Thank you for becoming a fan and reacting to all their wonderful songs Barry!

It is funny that you mention running out of time in this Favorite Christmas Song hunt because I told Former Supermodel Annie that if we are doing the outside stuff, decorating 3 Christmas trees, over 100 nutcrackers, Annie’s thousands of snowmen and Santa’s and the rest of it….we were starting in August this year and not mid November like last year. I am not really feeling it but Annie will be feeling it soooooo, I probably cannot avoid it, even though I want to?

Heck, I have already started my Christmas Shopping? I gather things as I see them, things I know people will like/love, and when I start wrapping I don’t remember half of it. But I am popular, my gift giving has become kind of personalized to each person, a mix of things they would never have thought of, didn’t know about, would never buy for themselves, and sentimental. @@terrilabeth my rule is if you’re going to do Christmas decorations… go all out! Nutcrackers aren’t really a Christmas decoration here in Ireland but I do see one or two. August? Really? I would normally start putting up the decorations on November 25th and keep adding stuff over the weeks.
If it takes years to find the song, we’ll that’s how long it takes. We can’t rush such an important decision. That’s against the law.
I’m a typical guy I leave Christmas shopping to the last minute if not second but for the important people in my life I buy in advance and give meaningful gifts. When I move to the states I can have a PO BOX (I think at the moment there would be international charges for any items sent to and received in Ireland) then yes I will be on everyone’s Christmas list. We did too many decorations to start it after Thanksgiving. I tried to get Annie to stop with just the 3 trees but that plan didn’t work. We had not done much decorating in I don’t know, 3 years previously when various people were sick and Annie was determined to make up for that.
Plus it felt like we didn’t have time to enjoy it all? The nutcrackers were my Dad’s one and only contribution, he loved them and started collecting. It kinda got out of control, I said over a hundred but it is a LOT over a hundred. People started buying them for him. We group them together like a choir, propped up in rows, and you adjust and adjust until all faces are showing. They create quite the statement piece but living with them you either love them or the creep you out, staring at you while you watch tv? I love them but I tend to like creepy things (except ticks, spiders, bugs and snakes.) Soldiers were his favorite but we have all kinds….females too, some from different countries and nationality’s, we are diverse….anyway, a lot of creepy dudes staring at me seems quite normal? 😂

Oh B ☘️, those enchiladas were so yummy!!! She used her infamous cheese gravy (southern style it is literal gravy) over the top, they were sour cream and chicken enchiladas on the inside. Your Annie Baby would probably cook you anything you wanted. She was grumpy with me because I didn’t help but I did tell her I wasn’t hungry and would just eat cereal or something? Sigh.
I was waiting for the moment to “good talk” you! 😂 It doesn’t mean you are boring (at least not today) it meant the enchiladas were ready, even though I was not hungry? But it was a great moment for “good talk”! 😂 Just expect it, yeah? Even for international 6symbols!!! 😂

Joy To The World goes pop/rock! Very catchy arrangement. I'm now at the point where with every Pentatonix video, I wait patiently for that Kirstie Moment! I am sincerely now believing that she may very well be the best female pop singer in the world. Almost all of the others need various audio tricks to sound better, both in the studio and on stage. She doesn't. I've been recently watching a lot of the videos of her various live performances (both solo and with the group) and she nails it every time. Even in some where she messes up the lyrics, she has a really adorable way of laughing it off and recovering quickly. BTW, Cracker Barrel is a national USA chain of restaurants that features country-style "comfort foods". They're pretty good too. They also have their own record label and sell the CDs at most of their locations.
