Love the nylon but the Velcro strips have fallen off of two of mine. For $15 I’ll keep buying more though because they’re so comfortable and easy to use.
Yeah, I try not to use my straps every day for everything in order to not wear the straps out. I use tpu straps for activities such as swimming, running, biking and hiking. The leather and steel for more formal situations. And the nylon strap on betaen that on resting days.
I have seen some threds on it the r/garminfenix and r/garmin subreddits on reddit. about it As far as I can tell from those it is possible but you can run into the risk of damaging the pin holes, så look up some tuturials before trying.
I would not recomend that. Read about somebody loose their watch in the ocean. But they did bit specify how it happened. But it gets wet as well. It is easy enough to switch straps, so I would not be to bothered switch ung when going for a swim.

I have the exact leather band as you and love it! I can also recommend the Hemsut brand of nylon straps for their versatility.
Is there a way to remove the pins, if you're using a non quickfit band?
