I love it. Applejack looks like a farm pony. Fluttershy looks like she fits in the forest and her cutiemark is perfect for her colors, cherry blossom. She is my absolute favorite. Twilight is well a twilight and her cutiemark shines nicely, a lilac color. PinkiePie just looks bouncy and fun and her cheek is so cute, her cutiemark is simple but *good*. Rainbowdash is my second favorite with how she is so similar to a bird, while still having the colors of her old cutiemark and the confidence. Esmeral- Rarity just has a gorgeous cutiemark. This was a nice speedpaint.
I think it would be an interesting idea if you make “fluttershy” be able to blend in with the forest. So she feels safer cause it is very hard to see her. To contrast this she hates being in town cause everybody can see her. I love your work though. It looks amazing.

I mean, it’s a redesign. It won’t have the same “character” the mane 6 originally does. The redesign is based around the artists opinion. I know you’re not meaning to hate, and I know not everyone will agree, but it’s a redesign and is usually based around how the artist sees them.

Dashie's design is my ABSOLUTE FAV! OMG, I want to look at her forever. She's so sharp and pointy and her palette looks a bit like black-red-orange flames got splashed by blue water, which suits her job. Beautiful coincedence!
Art tip, when coloring a baby horse there are red tones mixed in with the brown, also bay horses have point( darker muzzle, and black leg markings. Although there are many variants of the bay coat color.
I'm not hating on the redesign at all, I love it!!!! However, this is a bit more like an OC/ AU mashup rather than just a redesign because their backstories and names are changed as well as their appearance. This is so incredibly creative and beautiful, keep doing what you love.

I personally love all of the redesigns, I think I was expecting pinkie to look closer to her gen 1 character surprise or still be extra pink so I think her muted colors did throw me off for a little while but she still looks super cute. I’m also used to seeing rarity as a bright white or pink unicorn so it was nice to see a darker, earth pony design. I did enjoy seeing the more pastel look of Twilight and Fluttershy and the more masculine but still feminine looks of Applejack and Rainbow Dash. Dashie's design is my ABSOLUTE FAV! OMG, I want to look at her forever. She's so sharp and pointy and her palette looks a bit like black-red-orange flames got splashed by blue water, which suits her job. Beautiful coincedence!
I like the idea of rainbow dash of being a scarlet macaw, it really keeps her colorful looks but more strikingly like a brave mare she always is
Art tip, when coloring a baby horse there are red tones mixed in with the brown, also bay horses have point( darker muzzle, and black leg markings. Although there are many variants of the bay coat color.

I personally love all of the redesigns, I think I was expecting pinkie to look closer to her gen 1 character surprise or still be extra pink so I think her muted colors did throw me off for a little while but she still looks super cute. I’m also used to seeing rarity as a bright white or pink unicorn so it was nice to see a darker, earth pony design. I did enjoy seeing the more pastel look of Twilight and Fluttershy and the more masculine but still feminine looks of Applejack and Rainbow Dash.
As for name suggestions:
Applejack; her name should stay the same as it’s fitting for the design
Fluttershy: Cherry Blossom, since her design seems to be heavily inspired by Japanese culture
Twilight: Lavender Dream mostly cause her design reminds me of a sweet dream
