How to get a Retirement Visa for Thailand

A Thailand Retirement Visa is a long-stay visa allowing you to reside in Thailand legally while enjoying some convenient advantages.
The Retirement Visa Thailand includes these benefits:
Up to at least 1 year of uninterrupted stay in Thailand
It allows you to acquire a re-entry permit to enter and exit the country multiple times in that year
The visa is renewable on an annual basis
And you can renew your visa in Thailand without having to leave the country

You will need to meet the following eligibility requirements:
You must be at least 50 years old
Hold a valid foreign passport
Provide proof of residence in Thailand by presenting a 6-month lease or rental contract and recent bills
And you must be able to meet ONE of these financial requirements:
• Have 800,000 THB as a security deposit for at least 2 months before applying for the visa
• Or a monthly income of at least 65,000 THB
• Or a combination of both a monthly income of 65,000 THB and a security of 800,000 THB
In addition, you’ll also need a Police clearance certificate, a Medical Certificate and Proof of Health Insurance.
If applying from OUTSIDE Thailand only:
• A Police Clearance Certificate
• A Medical Certificate
• Proof of Health Insurance (with a minimum coverage of $100,000)
But if you’re applying from within Thailand, then these additional elements are not required.
