This one night, I fell asleep on the couch, and slept so deep, in the morning as I walked into our bedroom, there was no turning away, over night the angels took my husband, he was cold to touch and rig was already setting in...I look to my right, and our kids are screaming at me to fix him, make him wake up. It's been almost 18 months, we are still trying to glue the pieces of our lives back together. Our compass ,the glue that kept us togeether the love of my life, their hero, gone, no warning, no explanation. RIP Mike, I love you with all my heart.
Soulsavers turned out to be a great artistic outlet for Dave Gahan and showed the full flexibility and talent of him as a performing singer song-writer artist. He said himself, Soulsavers allowed him to push himself further than he could in Depeche Mode and take more risks vocally and artistically...he already matured into a world-class incredible performer in Depeche Mode, but his voice is so amazing in these soulful songs. So glad he did this.
I agree. In fact, after becoming a Soulsavers fan, I found it hard to go back to listening to Depeche Mode. The maturity he gained in these songs is so captivating that I was locked into Soulsavers. I'm an older man now myself, having been a lifelong DM fan. So, these songs, now at this time of my life, just seemed a perfect fit to listen to. Thanks Dave!

mr Gahans voice is just getting better and better. he always had an amazing voice and some of his vocals from the 80s and 90s just couldnt be sung any better by anyone else. yet with the last couple of albums his voice simply matured or what? BROKEN or ALL THAT'S MINE on their latest album prove that. now i woulnt want the next DEPECHE album to SOUND like that although I think theyd just electronicize it to their usual sound but I totally imagine DAVE writing something like that on their next LP
Martin Gore has always been the song writer for Depeche Mode and he resisted hard any attempts for Dave to contribute songs to Depeche Mode albums to the point where Dave threatened to leave Depeche Mode unless he could contribute some songs..Dave is a very talented song-writer himself.. the few contributions he made to Depeche Mode albums proved to Martin Gore he can write great songs, like Endless and Cover Me.
I don't know how you did these brilliant s songs with soul saver but all of them are wonderful and perfect thank s my prince my Dave I'm waiting for your concert with these in USA and in houstin
