I love this side of Foals. On one hand you have the wild party lads out on stage and on the other you have this tight, refined and controlled skill in session studio. I could listen to this all day.

Foals songs usually use a lot of high notes playing further "up" (in terms of pitch) the neck of the guitar. If you notice Yannis, the lead singer/guitarist, is playing midway down/up the neck in this performance. No clearer explanation.
I really dont know what happened to them. Every album after WWD has been generic as fuck. They used to be known for the opposite. Most people I've talked to have said that that is what usually happens with bands getting so famous, they tend to water down. But I know deep that they still got it. I really hope we see a Foals comeback away from all the mainstream stuff they have been doing these past 8 years.
i honestly don't know why they don't have the guy on synth just use a loop pedal and just play individual notes, layer, loop, and add on till it sounds like the studio version.
