I don't know why but I was extremely scared at the Hijack Duel when I first played this game. The V8 was so loud that whenever I hear it getting louder, my heart begins to beat faster.
Glad to know that I was not the only one who are scared of the Hijack, still remember I had to let my brother beat it for me when I was small, good old memories!
Ridge Racer PSP only has 4 special cars. 3 unlock by face-off (Angelus,Crinale,and Pac-Man) and New Rally-X by get 50,000 high-score in New Rally-X in minigame with Completed Tour #18 Meanwhile,Ridge Racer 2 PSP has 8 special cars divided to 2 class Special 1 has Hijack,Wild Gang,Angel & Devil. All from face-off 2 rounds (Normal & Reverse) tour #25-28 Special 2 has Angel Kid & Devil Kid,Pac-Man,and real-life machinery Yamasa Raggio. Same face-off 2 rounds from Tour #29-32
I've been doing car replicas from this game in forza recently, and I cannot thank you *enough* for the high-res capture of these car liveries. This is the only source where I can see a lot of the brand labels, you rule!
In Ridge Racer 1, You've to unlock all 3 basic cars (Type-S) in other class except Class 1 But in Ridge Racer 2 is already available,you only have to unlock Type-R in 4 tours per-each class Tour #1 - #24 with Type Z for every 4th tour of each class from Class 1 & 2 The other Type Z Class 3-6 is unlock in package mode (Can be 1-3 cars unlock in a tour) and that happened at EX Tour
Anyone noticed that the cars are delivered from a modified cargo version of an F-14 fighter jet with the thrust vectoring nozzles of an ADF-01 falken Plus it would be nice to see the soldat crinale delivered from a Belkan Air Force jet. Soldat crinale driver be like: > [cues “Zero” during 1v1 race]
Omg I didn't notice them until you made this, and indeed you're right after I did a little search on google, the ADF-01 falken is from Ace Combat so they may have borrowed it and made it an asset IMO I think that the Belkan Air Force jet is a lil bit bulky, I like the streamlined and aerodynamic look of the plane they have used now 😍😍😍
I haven't played Ridge Racer 2, so I'm wondering... do the cars rev up when you unlock them in RR2? I usually hear nothing when I unlocked my cars in RR1.
idk if you're ever gonna see this, but what's the difference between the 2 games? which one should i get? i have a psp, so should i get ridge racer 1 or 2? does 2 have all the special cars in 1? or is it the other way around? 1 has all the special cars in 2? i played ridge racer, one of the best games ever!
Well in terms of sheer amount of content I would definitely prefer RR2, because there are more events and for extra cars for you to unlock with, other than that, not much of a difference. For the special cars, both games posses different special cars, though both RR1 and RR2 have Crinale, Angelus and Pac-man, their designs are TOTALLY different as you can see from the video. In addition, RR2 has a few more extra special cars, like the Hijack, Wild gang, Angelus/Crinale kid and Yamasa Reggio. But hey, RR1 has a really unique special vehicle, which is New Rally X. Overall, in my opinion, I would prefer RR2

@@savage_aly8752 in my opinion, the pap version is already very nice when upscaled in PC emulator, plus it’s already like a remix version of all ridge racer games, as it include practically all the tracks from previous ridge racers. Though RR4 for the PS1 is the one I would really want to get a remaster. And I have both PS4 and PS5 :D

The Terrazi Wildgang is broken, far better and faster than the Kamata Angelus and Soldat Crinale. Plus it has superior handling.
