4 years later I've realized I've planted all essential oddity mangoes lol. I guess I have a weird taste Graham has hints of coconut, to me at least, especially by the peel, which is why I love it and planted it. Also fiberless. Nam doc mai is really sweet and clean tasting, quite refreshing and firm yet completely fiberless Alampur baneshan is a green mango when ripe that is almost white inside. It's spicy and resinous, a real treat in the flavor department.
Crafton! He is one of the kindest people I know and just the best person I have been around. He also told me that if there is any person in the world who has eaten more Annonas than anybody it's Har Mahdeem.
Very cool!! I have been interested in mangoes recently, I was told at the nursery that spraying the plant with honey water can increase the production on the ones that aren't producing as well.
I love watching these videos as far as showing tree & fruit size, flavors, colors it would be very informative if we had more information as far as how cold tolerant/sensitivity, growing zone where they grow successfully in other places other than Florida like maybe Texas, Arizona and what their doing to grow so we could look for that particular variety to try and grow because some are more successful than others and also I do hear sometimes about the fiber in some and also I’ve heard that many varieties like dry climates which would be good for central Texas versus humidity it would be good to know that information on all that are being presented on video tasting not just in some. Thank you for sharing information on a fruit that we would all love to grow in our yards
Love your videos, you have loads of great information. I can't wait to have a mango lunch soon, thank you for the idea Har! I have a Keitt that is loaded this year after such a poor harvest last year.
I know it is impossible to have and show all the popular varieties. But the Ataulfo is a big missing on this list. Other less popular but with terrffic flavor is the 'Manila' variety. Originally from The Philippines and brought to Mexico in the 18th century. Very popluar in Mexico and growth mostly in the Gulf Coast of the state of Veracruz.
I've not heard of anyone growing Mangos who enters all these stats into a computer (later applied to an a.i. to efficiently compile and properly administer data)
Dear Truly Tropical -- help please, I have squirrels eating and gnawing at the bark and limbs of my mango. They are not attaching the fruit, but just the bark for nutrients, it seems. WHAT SHALL I DO?
I really like Dot. It has a very good standard Florida mango flavor. I'd never call it an oddity, but whatever. And I'd like to try Coconut Cream and Ice Cream. I don't know why Har never detects any coconut flavor in mangoes, but most people do. Nonetheless, Har is the coolest of the cool!

I always appreciate Har’s knowledge and point of view,, can’t wait to see his Annona plants again
Great video. Har takes some getting used to but once you get his humor he is a crack up. If I could like this video x 100 I would.

Indeed an excursion through the mango kingdom.Very educational.Thank you.
Har is such a character. He really cracks me up. 😄
Can't walk past my Rosa mango 🥭 tree without thinking of Har. 😆 🤣 LOL
Gotta love Har for telling it like it is! Thought i was a weirdo for not tasting coconut in coconut cream...thanks Har!
Never tasted a mango 🥭 that tasted like a coconut 🥥. I'll eat coconut when I want that flavor 🌴
Love this video, Har is so much on point and he's just incredible. ♡ Har!

You gotta get out and visit those with your growing conditions. See what they have successfully grown.

❤️ Keitt, giving wonderful late fruit
Wonderful. We would have been over in July had not been derailed by CoVID 19.
How about Alampur Baneshan ? Do you grove it?
We have a small tree of 'Alampur Baneshan', but it hasn't produced fruit yet.
Wonder if Cabeza would make Har's list now?
When Har speaks, nature listens.
🐦
Thank you for the video. Question: What is the good distance between two mango trees?
16 ft. unless it's a smaller variety

@Pine NutIt will be very fine for sure. On top of that, virtually free and tons for them.

Good
How can I purchase these seeds???
Buy some mangoes, eat them, and save the seeds.
This guys talks like lone of those 50's guys who's never seen a camera before and doesn't know how to talk to one of them
😳 🧘
Har? What is that -- Scandinavian? Anyway, he's quite the interesting fellow, I'll say that.
I think he grew up in Brazil and possibly India.

Agreed
My wife likes Dot.
