    As doctor passionate about skin care that delivers results and about well-aging, I want to help you quickly and efficiently pick a skin care regime that works, by explaining the science behind skin and by sharing quick product reviews.
    I am a big believer that creating a skincare routine that targets your specific concerns is not a matter of your budget. There are many great affordable brands out there: The Inkey List, Good Molecules, Geek & Gorgeous or pixi skincare to name a few of my favorites, and if you know how to combine them, you are well on your way to healthy and happy skin.
    Healthy and happy skin does not mean "flawless" - whatever that might be. I have been struggling with acne, hyperpigmentation and postinflammatory erythema (PIH and PIE) for most of my adult life, and it took me a while to figure out that gentle is key. I went through a retinol damaged skin barrier, acne flare ups and sun damage until I finally reached my happy place: With Tretinoin, sunscreen and of course a red lipstick!

    Hello, I am 23. I work at the Estée Lauder counter in Dillards. I use this serum 2x daily along with the under eye cream at night and the day and night wear moisturizers. Although I may necessarily not need it yet; it has made such a big difference in my skin. I always recommend to all my customers and will definitely buy for my daughter in years to come when she is much older.

      It is a lovely soothing and hydrating serum, but a very pricey one, so i can‘t give it a recommendation for everyone. It depends on what you are looking for: If it is anti aging (as in prevention at your age) I don‘t think it is necessary. If you are my age and use all the heavy hitters for antiaging and want a little something-something (and have the budget!) then yes, I recommend it. But (no offense) at the age of 22 you probably have other investment priorities than a serum.

    Hi Dr.Anne. I will be making 28 this year. I already feel like my skin is aging as I have issues with acne and stress that affects my skin. And under my eyes look tired and has wrinkles due to eye allergies. I’m wondering if it’s okay for me to start using these products because I already see signs of aging. (I am African American)

    • @DoctorAnne
      @DoctorAnne  4 года назад +1

      While there is no harm in using it (other than the price point), I would make sure that I have the basics in place before, like regular sunscreen (yes, even for melanated skin), hydration, a good cleansing routine and maybe, if you feel like you are aging prematurely, a retinoid. If you already have that, then maybe this one is a good addition.

    I got a little sample size .23 oz to try but I have been too scared to cause of my Rosacea. I spilled a tiny little drop and put it on my hand and nothing happened. So far so good but that was my hand. Looks better then it did. You can feel the softness of the moisturizing effect. I live in the desert and my face is so dry. I tried coconut oil and it worked good too. My Mom said it made me face glow. But taking it my mouth made my over all skin look so much healthier and not parched. It's weird.

    • @DoctorAnne
      @DoctorAnne  4 года назад +1

      The serum does not contain ingredients that encourage purging. Best way is to stop and see if the breakouts disappear - a lot of things can cause breakouts, so it might be just a coincidence, but of course it might be that your skin doesn´t agree with the serum.
