Adele!!! Come on girl! She kills it every time. The only thing for me was that there was no reinvention, it sounds like it came from her last album. Flawless performance tho! Lmk what y’all think in the comments below! 👀 much love Kali Fam! ❤️
She’s also said this album to her son about her divorce. Through that lense , she’s explaining that she may not have made the best decisions at a young age and asking for grace, understanding and forgiveness from her son.
She said that the song isn't sounding like most of the rest of the album
You don’t “re-invent” perfect….
@@psemond72 True!
Having a new reinventive song style would not have been "better". It would be way too risky. This song is perfect for people and fans to get right back into who she is as a phenomenal singer, especially after such a long hiatus. In addition, many are commenting on the growth.
I'm a sucker for Adele. She always seems so authentic and natural with her writing. She tells a clear story in a simple and touching way, like we're reading her auto-biography. I saw in an interview that this was the first song she wrote for the album and that she views it as "initiating" a conversation. I think she was mostly talking about a conversation between her and her ex (divorce babes, divorce ). The lyric "Go easy on me" is basically her saying bare with me while I try to find my footing... and that works perfectly as an initiation to the album and the story she's about to tell us. Aside from the lyrics and the fact that it's a beautiful song I do agree with you, the sound isn't anything we haven't heard from her... but I think that's okay for this song, since it serves an introduction to the album. She's kind giving us the same old Adele "sound" but with a new story... Which I love.
Also, I love your videos ❤️!
You’re so kind! Thank you. And yes I agree Adele is so authentic and natural when it comes to her writing. She’ll always be one of the greats of our time…💯🙏🏾❤️
I instantly felt like I knew this song so I definitely sung along to the chorus the second time around.
that's what i noticed about the chorus too. i know not everyone loves that it's not as catchy or earworm-y as other pop ballads, but i personally appreciate her having the room to just showcase her vocal ability. definitely one of her less karaoke-friendly songs (though enough drinks will definitely make us brave enough to try), but that's not really a bad thing in my book. very interested to hear what the rest of the album sounds like with new producers like inflo in the mix!
I think the lyrics in this have a lot more power than a lot of her lyrics on the last album, that’s the difference that I see personally.
Adele sticks to the formula that keeps her on top. she is brilliant.
She is definitely brilliant. And I’ve listened to the song a few more times since then and I do agree, she has a formula and she should keep it. She’s great honestly…and always will Be! ✨❤️
I think this song is setting the stage for the introspection that Adele will do in this album. She said she wrote it for her son to explain to him what happened and why his parents split. She wants him to listen to it when he's an adult. So she's asking him to go easy on her for the decisions she made. And to keep that I mind as she tells her side of the story.
This was a beautiful explanation of the song. Thank you for sharing. I think it’s lovely what she’s doing for her son. ❤️
Live bass, sampled kick, no auto-tune or quantizing.
Yep! Very natural sounding…acoustic instruments always for the win! 👌🏾✨
#Easyonme is not about her ex-husband as most have assumed. It is actually written by Adele to her son, explaining to him why she had to give up and went with a divorce. She is simply asking him to be easy on her with her decision for her own happiness despite the consequences her son may come around. It explains well in the 2nd verse.
In 2nd verse, she says "You can't deny how hard I've tried. I changed who I was to put you both first//But now I give up!
Adele actually purchased a home by hers for her ex-husband so her son could always have the best of both parents. She has had vocal surgery, lost 80+ pounds, and still sang her tail off. Enjoyed your reaction/review. I am glad I found your channel.
Unlike so many others, you know what you’re talking about.
That means so much, thank you for tuning into my channel 😆🙏🏾✨
Adele sings her heart. With her, that's ALL that matters. When she drops an album, the world stops to listen. How many artists are doing that? Almost NOBODY. And she can go quiet for YEARS then drop a single and blows up internet within HOURS. Nobody else does that. Go easy on her.
I agree Robin…you’re 1,000 % correct. She is the GOAT.
I love your reactions. You're so honest and through
Love this song, i don’t mind that all her albums are similar because it’s what she does and she only does it every few years. She also said that this doesnt necessarily sound like the rest of the album so i’m interested
I see the lyrics as Adele talking about her broken relationship with her ex-husband. She is saying that she was so a child who had not experienced the world when they got together and had their son. She also says she changed who she was to put them first, but is now giving up. That seems to be her recognizing she has to live her own life to be happy. (That is the point where the video switches to color.). But she also recognizes how hurtful that has been, so she is asking for understanding. She has said the song is for her son to hear when he is older, because it can help him understand her choice to get the divorce.
idk why, even if her songs always sound a bit similar i’m always astonished by her message and writing skills!! this song hit me differently tho, so mesmerizing, i can’t even explain it
I like that her song sound similar. im not always a fan of someone who tries different things just to experiment. there's a certain british singer who ripped off the weekend not too long ago.
@@rubenTR309 yeah, it’s all about identity too, as an artist especially in the music industry if u go through all kinds of genres just for the sake of trying something new, you lost your audience and connection since u have no identity anymore
I love hearing you guys’ thoughts…for someone who makes music, it’s always interesting to hear how people receive it. This is helping me so thank you! 🙏🏾✨
I dont know why but the chorus is so catchy to me 😅 i like this song from the start
💟
I read somewhere that she wrote this song to her son.
After 6 years of silence. People miss Adele's sound which noone else is really doing still so I think from the reception it was a great choice to go in that direction. I however hope there is some interesting stuff in her album though.
Can you react to Victoria Monet - Coastin!!
I think her msg on the video is about leaving her old self, possibly a new growth for her. Her black and white, melancholy aesthetic she used in the past is now going to change.
New album "30" out in Nov..
I’m so pumped!!! ❤️
Having a new reinventive song style would not have been "better". It would be way too risky. I song like this is perfect for people and fans to get right back into who she is as a phenomenal singer, especially after such a long hiatus. In addition, many are commenting on the growth.
This is a continuation from 25 - it's kinda akin to penning a diary.
The album is for her son, following her divorce from his father 😢
Hopefully, he will listen to it and understand the choices she made, we're done so with little time for thoughts.
The 1st "non choice" that she HAD to choose was stopping singing whilst her son was an infant (hence the 6 year absence) - the visuals were the sheets of sheet music blowing out and away.
The 2nd "non choice" that she HAD to choose was the divorce - the visuals showed her sitting (whilst obviously singing) in a chair, the camera lingers on her hand - minus her wedding ring.
From start to finish, the director, very succinctly, embroidered poignant visuals throughout the vid. Nothing in the vid was wasted or frivolous - everything was purposeful and intentional.
Most important though, was that the vid could NEVER be "bigger" than the song (similarly, the music was stripped back). The song had to tell the story - the song HAD to impact the listeners emotions.
So fantastically clever 👏👏👏👏👏
She can write and sing so incredibly beautifully. What a star 🌟
I can imagine her with next single strutting sassing it up Beyoncé style 😂. Here she sold house moving on after divorce. Well she lost lot of weight, got a new man ( once u go black….) . The vid showed her adding colour literally to her life…. So
Great video!! Koji could you please react to anything new by Yebba? Please!
Hello….walks into house, black and white.
EOM…..she’s walking out of the house, black and white.
And she still doesn’t have good cell service!
oh i’m actually first
You’re a legend! 😎👍
Compression on the vocals... Did you see that in Pro Tools or just hear it blind?
Can you react to TEMS!!?
Adele isn’t pop ?? She sings to issues we can relate to and is in a genre all by herself .
She upped her vocals a bit, hearing a lot more riffs. Can't wait to hear the full album❤
You are music producer .. so tell me what you find if you change the tone a bit ... I find a perfect match boy voice... coincidence? let me tell you coincidences don't exist at all XD this song is most like if was recorded by other person and changed with sofware edition to match "Adele`s voice".. you feel me ? But, don`t trust on me... just try by yourself to down tones like to "Fa 9" tone. So the mod song is in the range of a "ninth" tone above
Sorry but thinking she's talking about a "got into the industry young and it made me miss out" perspective is way off--- it's more relatable than that (no spoilers, but... grow older for it)
Lady you talk way too much!
You should’ve clicked out of the video then lol 😂👌🏾
@@kojikali3381 You should've just kept your comments brief. And by the way you can't sing either🤣👍
@@jaycarter8474 awww do you feel better about yourself now that you’ve said that? 🥺 I know life is hard. Don’t forget, when we die our words go with us…you’ve got much deeper things to worry about my friend. Please get the mental help that you need. ❤️
Also I appreciate the honesty 😉👍
@@kojikali3381 Nothing to worry about here because my life is great with no worries. I just keep it honest with people. Sorry you can't seem to handle honesty. Maybe you can reach out to Adele for singing lessons 🤷♂️ but I don't think that will help either
