Better way to consistently dodge the hog rider charge. Step 1: stafe either left or right, Step 2: dodge the oposite direction of the strafe, and Step 3: hope u did it right. Torrent can sometimes be killed so u don't need to be fighting the menu just to dodge an attack
Exact the abyssal woods has had the flame for a very long time, remember Midra held onto the flame letting the ember glow. Think of what we had to do to become the Frenzied lord, now imagine that maybe like 20x longer then what the village was exposed too.
I think the aging untouchables are linked with this as well. They seem… to be frenzy embodied, not like those men in the frenzy village who have gone mad or the Leyndell soldiers on Mt Gelmir who have gone mad.. the abyssal woods and the aging untouchables are something different. Something more pure than just the madness of a mortal man.

@@That_mfDawg she is burned and bodiless cuz of destined death, this means also Ranni could potentially survive the frenzied flame, as she was also burned by destined death and was a bodiless spirit until she got a doll body Also, she ditches her tiny body during her quest and then crosses the lake of rot, gets to the moonlight alter and then somehow gets a new doll body, then kills the two fingers, which means she can exist without a doll body, and could survive the frenzied flame, even if she loses her doll body from it
Here's a very good info too. Use torrent when giant furnances jumps. even if your'e below it you won't take damag, just make sure to time it when it's in the air.😉
The only help I need is to beat radahn. The dlc version. I got him down to one hit from victory and he killed me all I needed was mimic tear or tholliios to deliver the final blow whilst I was dying but didn't happen. That was attempt 100 easily. I'm loosing sleep over it
Are we sure Torrent won't pop up in the Abyssal Woods is because he's scared of the Frenzied Flame? Cuz once i noticed those giant glowing eyeball dudes didn't respawn, i killed them all. And the guy who actually turns into the Frenzied Flame in his castle. So there's nothing left that could attack me with Frenzied Flame and yet he still won't come out when summoned.

This is more of a theory but I think the Frenzy Flame in the Lands between is weaker as the Abyssal forest is Home to the Lord of Chaos as well as a bunch of Frenzy Flame like spirits that are far more dangerous then the rats there or base game basically it's far more powerful in the Abyssal forest then the lands between

I think cuz you kinda forcfully summon them, while torrent is downright refusing to be summoned. Maybe the other spirits dont understand that, or arent stronf enough to resist summoning, which is a little messed up on our part then

@@TubularBellsRequiem6531 My explanation is that the developers wanted to prevent you from summoning torrent against the enemies in the forest that grab you, but they also needed some BS reason as to why torrent is scared of some forest but completely fine when you summon him against A GOD (Elden Beast)
@HuzzaLoux well it was never said the greater will could melt torrent away. At least it makes sense thematically, since torrent dies in the frenzied flame ending in the basegame anyways. Plus frenzy is known for melting anything and everything

Omg first play thru the charge attack always got me felt like their hit box is wonky
Get the swiftness tear, it gives extra I-frames during rolls for 5 minutes and it allows you to roll through that attack
You can sprint to the right and either jump or dodge roll away and you wont be hit with the wonky hitbox
the hitbox _is_ wonky. from me just fighting him i noticed its pushed back farther than it looks like it should should be
Bloodhound Step dodges completely through the hitbox

Vs general gaius I actually managed to roll through his rush attack a couple times, although pretty hard to time.
It’s easier to dodge at close range, assuming you actually react to it

you definitely only got out of that gaius charge because of the roll at the end, torrent dismount alone prob wont completely help
