- Hi everybody, today I'm playing on the Pearl SensiTone Beaded Aluminum snare. An aluminum snare drum is a great sonic alternative to wooden snare drums, and this drum is a great option. It has an all-aluminum shell with no seams, 1.2mm thick. The hoops are great quality, and give a great sidestick sound. All in all, this snare has a nice cutting sound that would serve you well live and in the studio. Thanks for watching!

I own one of these and it's pretty sweet indeed. Sweet from Sweetwater. A great all-around smooth sounding drum. Pearl knows what they are doing with the Sensitones.
This man is a great salesman!
What Nick can do with just Hhats, kick & snare is Amazing. Very inspiring drummer to watch. Great playing, Ty!
I can't tell what I like more, the sound of that snare or that opening groove. Very nice!
I must say this is about the 5th or 6th video you've done and you do really good job of playing and explaining the product. And i was interested how this specific drum was. thanks
Bought one from.Sweetwater and it is awesome. Great sounding drum.
Great snare and drummer!
Definitely love it
Ordered today
I really like the tone, especially like the tube lugs and the snare lock. I wonder how it would sound when Nick de-tunes it to eliminate any bell ring and has that nice dry stoccotto.
After much snare researching, just bought it. Couldn’t find this exact model anymore as heritage version has replaced it. However, found one and pounced. Love it
Heritage Is identical except for the tube lugs which have been replaced because of the problems with tuning. At least this Is what an on line shop told me...
The heritage is thinner
I got this snare and it has good sound
I like the sound of yamahas new recording custom aluminum better.
Great sounding drum.
I have a Crush 14 x 5.5 the design of which I believe was inspired by this Pearl Sensitone. My Crush is really pingy and harsh though, and I have tried all kinds of different approaches to tuning, and various hacks and other methods to tame the harshness and the ping. Now I'm wondering of the hoops or shell on my Crush is warped... : /
Have you tried heads like the remo controlled sound p77 or the evans hd dry? Those might help
@@EvilSewnit i can attest to the fact that evans hd dry works perfectly with this snare
I know what is a sizes of a snare drum is a 14x6.5 sensitone beaded Aluminum snare drum from Pearl.
Cool.... To bad you guys didn't mic that up with a SM57 for the demo since that's how many will record it.
Any chance of doing the Pearl Phosphor bronze Sensitone..
I always think bronze sounds better.
I agree
Those aren’t ARL lugs, they are the TB-65’s.
Which I had a job that I could play drums and f get paid like Nick. You need an assistance Nick?
Sands good Bad .Best!!! Aluminum Super Sensative Ludwig is Beast Forewer!!!
Great series of snares, but the hoops are tall as f***! They seem to sit MUCH higher than every other brands hoop. Problem there being, i tend to JUST hit the hoop and not the head on rimshots.
