Very awesome, the Palouse is incredible, can't believe I hadn't heard of it before. • Fun fact (You probably found this while researching Bliss but many others might not know): Even in the years when the Bliss wallpaper was taken, it didn't look like it does in the wallpaper, but was always a Vineyard with the stakes and grapevines. But a couple years before the picture was taken, there was some bug infestation that made them tear out all the vines and stakes, leaving just the hills (and were later put back again, as we see today). The photographer also happened to drive through the area after a rainstorm which left everything particularly green. So the photo itself would only have been possible for handful of total days over those limited years (where it was a clear sunny day after a rainstorm). The perfect time to be taken for XP. We're also lucky that the photographer had the right kind of camera and film, a medium format camera shooting Fuji Velvia, known for having rally saturated colors. He credits much of the success of the photo to the type of film and the larger format (much bigger and higher 'resolution' than normal 35mm). He was also obviously really skilled, having been a photographer for National Geographic. So basically the scene of Bliss was really only something that could have been happened upon by chance, and wasn't some well known photography spot. We're very lucky that the Photographer, Charles, had been particularly watchful that day.
For as long as I can remember, I've loved grasslands, they give me a feeling of BLISS and comfort and other things that no other landscape does. I always would've thought that beautiful places like this couldn't exist... Guess I was wrong.
Same for me, if you want a similar experience, go through wind turbine databases, and you can find areas similar probably, with wind turbines of course.
This is exactly how it is to be a photographer - you can plan everything just right, but you have to let mother nature show you a bit of luck. Amazing video - love the road trip vibes and adventure.
As a non-photographer I was very confused why you didn't fly into a closer airport like Spokane or Pullman, then realized you probably wanted to hit as many of WA's 7 regional climates and corresponding landscapes as possible
oh hey, I'm early! Gives me chance to say congrats on your channel growth. Its amazing! I also found your through the Apple wallpapers video. Your content is amazing. I find it really motivating so I always watch your videos before work in the morning (I'm a travel blogger so it really helps!). Thank you so much!

The Palouse is one of the most beautiful places to visit during the late spring! Glad you got to visit a part of Washington State most people don't know exists. Steptoe Butte is amazing and I've gotten tons of great shots up there.
Nature sure is beautiful, I had fun watching you guys enjoying the trip and having fun. I'm being inspired by u guys to level up my photography skills so I can also take beautiful shots and sceneries.
Although I did not grow up with Bliss, I did grow up with the iconography of green hills & blue skies(Frutiger). I can't find other landscapes that match its awe, and that's because Bliss is saturated more. That is a unique aspect of this image, making it 10x easier to remember its beauty.
I just looked through the photos on Taylor, and I have to say that they are absolutely magnificent! I am happy that you guys are still doing this, I wish you to continue it as long as you find happiness in it!
The feeling of Microsoft bliss is literaly in most of my dreams, the dreams I have are about me in this "bliss" like world, only grassy hills and blue sky with a few clouds. No distance mountains or extra stuff, just basicly things that make you feel isolated in a good way
So glad you came to the Palouse, went to U of I up there and can attest the rolling hills, along with Palouse Falls, are absolutely beautiful. Disappointed I missed you passing through.
Wow, I just discovered your channel but I've lived on the palouse my whole life, it's really cool taking the drone out in March to May when everything is green
I had fun photographing rolling hills in Sonoma, now I guess I have to go to The Palouse! Which… I just now learned is a thing. 🤣 Also at 1:03… turntables… was that an Office reference?
The transitions are great, the narration is great. You are underrated. I agree with all of that. But, where can we download those wallpapers? (pls tell)

this feels like an HD remake from the groundup of the original bliss
also these photos are really neat, feel so fitting for a wallpaper
Yeah
The original Bliss is a large format analog film photo. It's higher def than any high def available.

Glad I'm not the only one who appreciates that transition from Marvelous Mrs Maisel!

I knew someone would recognize it! I've been waiting years for the right video to recreate it
One of the advantages of the OG Bliss, is that it was made with a film camera, and the type of film used rly looks great with the scenery
You are criminally underrated, the photography and editing is amazing, much love from GB
0:50 excuse me. You cant just casually pull off such an insane transition
