Angelina fully invests herself in each performance. She treats each note like it is the most important note of the song. I think it is Angelina's unconditional love for music that brings out the overwhelming emotion. Maybe it is just magic. Regardless, Angelina is my all time favorite musical artist and it is not a close contest.

There are a lot of good singers. And then, there’s Angelina. She continually surprises us across so many genres with beautiful vocals and interpretations that sound and feel personal and authentic. Angelina goes beyond Adele’s beautifully written original, giving us not just power, but emotion, range, and delicious vocal textures that seem to flow out of her so effortlessly. How does anyone sing this song better?
Good to see you back for some more Angelina! You hit it right on... Angelina is a "class act". Everything she does from her singing, to her videos, to her statements in interviews.... It always has "Angelina" all over it. She seems to approach everything from a humble place, and as a result she exudes this "genuine" quality in all her work. She is always true to herself, and her beautiful soul always comes out in her art. This is what draws people in.

Your iconic reaction to Gloomy Sunday was the first time I ever heard AJ. Still, no one has surpassed that reaction on any of her songs and I am always looking for reaction videos. I sent that link to many of my friends and they all loved it. It was both profound and hilarious.
Obviously, there is something bigger working here with Angelina. To believe that we come to this earth as a blank slate is totally disproven by the mere fact that she exists. I have spent many years reading and writing about the spiritual side of life and the extraordinary talent and goodness embodied by Angelina is straight out of the Bhagavad Ghita.

I've stated it before so I will say it again, Angelina is one of a kind, she is going to be very hard to cover. I've seen examples, even vocal coaches try for a second to do what she does, IMHO they would be better off just replaying what they want to exhibit. My favorite singer, thumbs up Soul.

Many of the voice coaches I have watched react to Angelina inadvertently reveal that they are envious. Some come away totally deflated because they know that they can not achieve her elite master class level of singing.

Soul, Angelina opens your heart and I love to see you like that. How can we deny she is someone very, very special. And, Soul, as great as she is singing we have to understand Angelina is much more than a great singer. Do you know of any singer in your lifetime who touches your heart CONSISTENTLY like Angelina? Different songs, different messages but there is always one element that shines through in every performance and that is the love in her heart which she emotes directly to us. Her richness within touches us through song and when we get to understand who she is away from the mike we are in absolute awe. Through all these experiences she has faced in her short life she remains ever so humble, soft spoken and committed to expressing to us the importance of love.

Thank you for the very nice reaction. With this song she created a wonderful old-fashioned atmosphere, her voice filling all the spaces of the imagination, a sweet elegance and a hint of piano background ... it's a unique and moving fresco, with Angelina at the center. Being able to explain what this little girl manages to build and pour into her interpretations, I think it is practically impossible. Angelina has grown up and the charm of her voice is becoming almost supernatural, she is music, just in the deepest of her essence. I can't listen her to it without being touched every time ❤️❤️

I had never heard this song before Angelina released this. I loved it straight away. I did do a search for the original, but I didn't even get half way through it. It just doesn't compare to this. This is Angelina's song now. She owned it with this performance. I think I've listened to it over 400 times since it was released, and it never fails to bring the tears. I don't know what it is, but as soon as she starts the chorus, the tears start flowing, and continue through the rest of the song.

There is a very popular vocal coach, whose name I won't mention, who posted a video of herself singing.
She has a wonderful voice, however, toe, if felt like she was trying too hard to bring emotion to the song, through her hand actions, etc....
The thing that truly separates Angelina, and a couple of other young stars, as well, is that the emotion they bring seems very natural, and to be coming from them with sincerity, rather than an act.
What a laugh....AJ playing and faking emotions ,I have never read anything so much STUPID.As for using her hands she has always used them,and in a very natural way.You should look better since she is probably one of the rare singer who doesn't fake when singing.I would never say things of the sort for most of the singers around young or adult.
Should I add that you are the first person to say such a thing.And I have read dozen comments from professionals singers and vocals coaches none of them ever made such comment!I will be curious to know the name of those "natural singers"

There is a very beautiful video of Angelina at her keyboard singing Wicked Game. A fan made video of beach scenes is the one that complements her singing, which is stunning. I recommend it.
Soul, quiet some singer/composer did thank AJ for dusting off their old glorious songs and breath new live into them, even a certain Brit named Sir Elton John. I think there is hardly a better way to bring back those old hits, including jazz from another era, than Miss Angelina Jordan Astar does. Get healthy again, stay save, God bless you. If I see how you responded to her performances thus far I'm pretty sure you will enjoy her versions of Stay, When we were young and her latest video's 7th heaven, Heal the world and When you believe. The combination of vocal skills and emotional connection and storytelling is so pleasant and special!
Mindblowing, Heartrending. What else can I say? Adele is very good, but her voice tends to be a little more strident, without the light and shade that Angelina puts into to evoke such feelings. I understand that Adele has had surgery on her vocal chords, no doubt the result of less than perfect singing techniques, which she has now altered, giving her a slightly different sound. Angelina has been using voice coaches from an early age and never stresses her voice. And you can tell.
Angelina is merciless, she absolutely killed, no butchered the original!!

About Angelina’s maternal grandmother Mery Zamani: she has had tremendous influence on Angelina and her career as she introduced Angelina to Jazz at an early age. Mery is a famous Iranian contemporary writer, poet and painter who was also a child prodigy herself being on Radio Iran's Children program at age 4 and began writing poetry and painting by the age of 9. Later Mery was trained in art at the Tokyo Academy in Japan where she met her husband, who was Japanese, during her master degree's training in Japan. Sadly Angelina's grandfather died in 2018. I get the feeling that Adele and Bruno Mars watched this video and came to the realization that she put forth a mic drop performance.
I still love your first few reactions. Your shock (and your reasons) at GLOOMY SUNDAY is still a class of it's own - because you were familiar. If you check out the frequently-referred-to Adele version, I hear a lukewarm rendtion compared to AJ's. And if you discover the Bruno Mars version (he's the co-writer), you may link those two co-writers' versions into the long-rumored "tough writing and recording sessions" that perhaps diluted levels of passion for their joint effort. AJ suffers from none of that.
I'd like to know how many rehearsals she and the pianist went thru.
Your reaction sums up what many of us feel, I guess. (Adele's version is not as technically good, but is rich in personality. AJ is etherial, while Adele is an 'up off the canvas' slugger)
