Vincent at the museum was the best scene in all of doctor who. This episode was done so so well.
The actors portrayal of pain and suffering as well as ecstasy in that scene was portrayed so well. That scene alone deserved an Emmy

Everything is true, he could see the how stars move and twirl. His Level of Consciousness was so high that he could see into the Universe. The only problem was he couldn't find a way to coexist it with his normal everyday human understanding and the understanding of this world. It drove him mad, but really he wasn't.
...I really believe the entire Dr. Who show was made popular and lasted for so long for the main purpose of showing us this episode of Vincent Van Gogh.
this is one of the best scenes ever in the series and just period. I want to believe in my fandom heart , Van Gogh never killed himself , he left with the doctor

@@davieslennon0632 no not really we do not , you assume he didn't however the doctor is famous for shoving clear in our face we never fully know anything by first glance, so yes the doctor went back and got the man , brought him to the best hospital in the known universe where he now is happy and teaches art to a group that appreciates him not throw rocks and call him evil, sorry you lack poetry
@crusty4420he did still commit suicide after seeing the tardis blow up, hence why when they go back to the museum expecting to see “hundreds of new paintings”, there isn’t.

I can't stop crying for Vincent, everytime I see his paint, there's some sadness with it
I watched these episodes after reading up on the theory that Van Gogh's death was not suicide but him taking responsibilities for a fatal accident of two kids who shot him so as to spare them the blame. This made it all the more sad but equally wholesome.
Vincent needed someone to believe in him and respect and love his life was so so sad RIP Vincent love you and happy heavenly Christmas to you
His brother Theo believed in him. At least Vincent had Theo.

For some reason the first part of the video reminded me of the euthanasia scene of Saul in Soylent Green. The theme of bittersweet, but mostly the dissonant chords. It’s jarring but very impactful, like beautiful pain. It’s hard to describe, I guess you just feel it.

Jeez people stop making Vincent van Gogh like he was a perfect human. He had is flaws, was stubborn and not always paying his debts and left town.
All you people do is making him unrealistic and create some kind a myth around him. P.s Gogh is his last name van is just a surname prefix and not written in capital letter if you use his first name as well. 😉
