While M11M is great.. I could never take just a monochrome camera with me to India. So many bright, gorgeous colours there. Thats just me though.

It was shot on an SL3, and both Stephen and Russell were using M11 Monochroms. Will post more information in the future!

we have lived in a post colonial world for a while now, so it’s hard to see the value in keeping the old stereotypes alive and promoting this kind of image making as a valid way for photography to be in the world. This video is a great example of the way westerners use people of color as the background scenery for white narratives. When critics say that photography isn’t neutral in things like objectification of the other, and promoting a colonial world view, etc videos like this are exactly what they are talking about.
At this point it is impossible to parody Leica because the company has become a perfect parody of itself.

Not being critical, but photos were a little disappointing, I had expected better. No wonder though, shooting B&W in India seems a sin, with all those beautiful colours (yes, I heard him explain why)! McCurry is a lot better, and now he's been wheeled out by Leica (he shot Nikon, Hasselblad for 40 odd years), they will be pleased to have him as an ambassador. I was in India for 5 weeks of this year, did over 4,000km through Rajasthan (including Varanasi). After seeing these images, I think mine stack up pretty well. I shot all colour of course, so maybe it's not apples for apples.
