I think you are the first drone pilot to catch that dang Tunnel machine in action!

Thanks for catching the Boring Company actually extracting some dirt. The dirt color has changed from grey to brown so it is soon to surface I think!

3:04 top left. New length of main power cable on site for the TBM. Looks like they are planning to keep going for some distance yet.
Approximately 130 stacks of segments on site. Say 120 allowing for some rejects and damages. So 60 rings, 90m of segments available.
Conveyor cassette beam has risen about 1.9m since 4th May. Approximately 50m advance from the estimate 165m on 4th May, total 215m excavation. That puts the TBM cutterhead at the bottom of the berm about 30m west of the line of parked cars adjacent to the perimeter road. The total remaining segments will take the exit point to just outside the building extension. i.e. There does not appear to be enough segmental lining to take the TBM into the building. Just my estimates of course.

3:04. So it could now be said with certainty that the tunnel portal will not be through the face of the berm. I can safely put that hat away. Phew!
Great footage of the operation. Probably the best yet from anyone.

Excellent analysis regarding the current state of this project! Thank you! I was concerned the opening would emerge within the now-covered-up portion of the expansion. However, unless I'm misunderstanding your comment, this provides some hope it will be outside and viewable from above? We'll see what happens...

    Thanks for the Tunnel work.
OK, now I see a real super use case for 4 wheel steering.

Best video yet on the Giga Texas current activities!
Thanks for doing it in the daytime when work is actually being performed. The early sunrise videos may be of a photographic value But for a retired heavy construction manager, the sights and sounds you provide are tops - especially the tunnel activities by Boring company. Those are the best I've seen, thanks so much I really got a good understanding of all of the activities.

Thanks for the nice feedback. Every time I finish one of these and upload it, I'm wondering how many are going to rip me for what I did or didn't cover, and/or what audio I did, or didn't include. Positive comments like yours (et al.) helps tremendously.

If you watch the WW2 documentary Hogan's Heroes, look at the tunnels they had, secret, never exposed under the watchful eye of Schultz, and col Klink, that's tunnel building master piece

I liked today's drone video especially you hovering over areas where there were some actions. Please continue this strategy.
BTW - why don't you set up ways we can show our appreciate of your work by setting up Patreon and/or Paypal account? Also what is your name?

How come they don't have their own power generation station like VW in Wolfburg has, and that place was built in the 1930s, destroyed, rebuilt, still the world's largest car factory in teh world, with it's own food production in house for the 30,000 + employees, THAT's a car factory

0:44. Top of screen. Far south west, past the blue covered machines, there's a patch of bare earth. Being dumped there to dry out.

Remember what they did in the 1930s? Lincoln tunnel in Manhattan, and others. Or recently in Europe, a tunnel between England and France, THAT is a boring company. Tesla is a piker. There are also new tunnels in Europe through mountains, Tesla can learn a lot from the pros. guess who has the largest boring machine in the world....?

  • @cengeb

Look at all those DIESEL powered heavy duty vehicles building stuff to make electric cars, ironic, now ain't it. DIESEL 100+ year old technolocy, that is unsurpaseed in verstility, and functionality. German of course. from transportation, power generation, pumping, DIESEL....
