Thank you both Mike and Zach for the videos you guys put out there. But if I had machines of my own, and no paper-work to cross the borders, I would go down-there and give him a hand till snow starts, as long as I have a place to sleep for me and my dog, and food, and fuel/oil, I'd be fine. .....yeah there's this, he'd have to cross the border if I'd ever need help farming as pay-back (NOT because he would owe me anything, but because this is how we were raised) (one of my most memorable time as a 11y-o "hay-raker" was when a friend of ours, who saw us racing against bad weather coming in, while he and his team had just finished his hay-season, decided to come across and start baling along with us. Back in 79, around here, 6000 small dry-bales on the ground was no small task. It was ginormous compared with today's 350HP on a big-square, while we had 5-6 35HP --some boosted to 42hp LOL-- to do that task) Anyhow, everything was baled when rain showed up and the some 2500 bales that could not be unloaded stayed on wheels and rested in the hanger shed, while then we were all having a beer listening to the rain slap on the roof ;) The year after, when my Dad did upgrade with a bale-kicker on our NH273, we went to help that friend as storm was coming and ours was done. That's how we used to do anything back then. I miss those days :-( ....but I'm happy I've witness those ;) Yeah, I'm a weirdo.... because I want/wish to see that way of work/help today :-(

Yep built in Manitoba...and they run cummins motors so I could get all my maintenance supplies for everything including my semis and pickups in one stop
My Grandpa and Dad bought a JD 7700 combine back in 1975, that thing would start up with the biggest black smoke when we would get it out for wheat harvest. Loved hearing that thing start-up every day. After the first start, it would still smoke some, but not like it did over the winter.
I love it when you make comments about your ancestors. One of my favorites was something along the lines of, "I can't imagine how difficult it must've been for my ancestors to fly their drones with no GPS system in their tractors."
I really love this channel so much, basically cause it’s not always the same content every video, you always switch it up & keep it interesting. Thank you so much for all your hard work & dedication you put into making these great videos for all of us to enjoy!! Be safe out there
Looks like you were combining in a field my great uncle Clayton P. used to own! It was neat to hear that Mike Less had helped arrange the Versatile demo. I love his channel as well!
Hi Zach. Thank you for these videos. Back in the late 70's I spent summers on a grain farm near Grandin, ND. Your videos bring back a lot of fond memories. Im somewhat amazed at all the new technology. I spent a lot of time on a Case 930 Comfort King and a Massey Fergeson Super 92 combine. We hauled our water from Hendrum, MN. Just putting that out there. Be safe and thanks again.
They're a "pretty penny" that's for sure. From each web site I selected the base tractor and 36" tracks, they all get substantially more expensive with necessary options... (BTW:the Deere and Versatile use the same Cummins engine); Versatile 610 DT $552,175 John Deere 9620 RX $644,601 Case IH 620 QT $617,590

I spent many hours this spring bouncing around in our Versatile 875 (circa 1980 I believe) man the difference 40 years makes lol... still an unstoppable tractor... runs our 15 foot chisel at 1500 rpm... our 36 finisher at 1800, and pulls around our 30' turbo tiller like a toy, lots of room in the cab, but you need it because its a rough ride, on 8 tires with no suspension its a bit rough lol, but its funny how much simulates that tractor has to that 610, it looks like (besides the fenders and tracks) you could switch the back halfs of those tractors... pretty much the same hydro and hitch setup etc... and man I wish I had me some auto steer... anyhow, that tractor is still our biggest spring work horse (thats the only time we use it... it only does 14 mph in road gear so its just to much work to get around for harvest... we use our old 4240 (big turbo circa 200 horse, also our planter tractor...) and our 4850 (circa 300 horse, although that seems to be a bit more than that engine likes as its in our shop getting new pistons and sleves lol) for grain cart duty...) anyhow I love watching your videos and getting to see how a bigger much more modern operation does things...
I had to come back to this video. We just bought this exact tractor. I will admit, it is an awesome tractor. Only complaint on our farm is that it is a little noisy compared to our Case and Deere tractors. The other thing we noticed on Versatile compared to the our other tractors is that the track build-up on the inside of the track housing and doesn't seem to build up as much when running on snow covered fields when plowing. Anyways, we agree with all your statements in this video.
Can't go wrong with a Versatile we have New Holland's on our farm but we still have an old 1988 Versatile 276 reverse station tractor. That poor tractor has 13 thousand hours on it but it just keeps going very few issues with it. The machine owes us absolutely nothing at this point would definitely recommend one and parts are easy to come by for the Cummins engines.
Versatile and McCormick tractors are some of my favorite, love old john deere and international tractors, but in the new tractors are way to advanced to work on and versatiles are big n simple, I would loose the tracks, another mantiance item
Never would have guessed the Versatile. My guess was high speed disc. Anyways cool to see the other brands, and just happens to be the stuff we're looking at.We're all Green other than one really old red Steiger, but just not very happy with the newer green. EPA gets most of the blame, but JD tractors have went from the problems starting at 8 to 10k hours, to starting at 3 to 5k. Versatile and Agco both are doing enough right to take a look at them.
max power I‘m from Germany and Almost every apple farmer in our region runs Fendt 200 V Vario (vineyard sized tractor) because they just build the best small tractors. Fendt had the “new“ technologies like cruise control and continuously variable transmission 10 years before other brands, which are only catching up recently. The Fendt 200 V Vario series just is the best fruit farming tractor, hands down. (Btw. JD‘s small tractors are a joke compared to that. You can‘t even move in the cabine if your above 5‘10. They clearly don‘t focus on developing them.
@@henningquast8456 Thankfully Agco has kind of left Fendt alone, and people still like them. Guys are starting to try some Fendt in my area, but they're the yellow Challenger versions of the 1038 through 1050.
max power Basically the same machine, just with a smaller joystick on the Challenger. They have the MAN 6-cylinder 12,4 liter engine, which is set up for low end torque. Great engine for fuel saving. Happy to see more german quality spread to the US ;-)
Plamen Nedkov I suppose you‘re talking about Steyr? They basically have the same CVT trans as the CNH brand, which is perfectly fine, just not as good as the true stepless Vario transmission, especially if used in orchard tractors (as mentioned above). And yes, of course one has some kind of brand related bias but since Fendt is up there to support it‘s claims, I don’t see a thing wrong with that. (Please don‘t bring the argument of Vario trans not being reliable, if one doesn‘t know how to drive them correctly, you can’t blame it on the manufacturer. You wouldn’t complain to a manufacturer if your manual transmission broke down because you tried shifting without using the clutch either would you?)
I agree, that is a handsome tractor. We had a 1982 Versatile 895 back in the 80s. It was that same colour. That was one of their best tractors at the time. Plain, simple, rugged and high horse power for the time. If I was still farming today I think I'd be using a new one like you got.
I'm completely john deere but my god that is an amazingly gorgeous beast! I love watching your videos and look forward to all of them. Thanks for sharing
Our ancestors would have been worn out by the end of the morning driving a 610 horse power tractor. BECAUSE they would have wondered how they were ever going to pay for the fuel! Thanks for the great video. Seems like more and more, farm equipment is going to a track drive. Makes sense.
Hippie Tears and the GMO monster caused 7 peoples heads explode in San Fransisco, keep up the good work. That is a very nice piece of equipment, I want one but I have no need for it other than scaring the neighbors. Thanks for posting and of course, keep your tracks in the mud...
I love Versatile's approach to engineering I don't think anybody else is even close to their straightforward accessibility and still maintaining a very serviceable and reliable work horse. They have proven themselves since the late 50's in North Dakota. Strikes me that they're more concerned about what farmers want rather than what they think the farmer need. You know real men want to steer and a 6 speed in their Corvettes too Lol
I spent a lot of years in a 750. Lots of power but no weight. Quite a downgrade from the Big Bud I drove earlier. Back in my day auto steer kicked in when you fell asleep at the wheel.
All the corn stock debris stuck to the grill didn't the video of the factory tour say that those tractors had an option that the cooling fan would spin in reverse to blow any junk off the grill. That would have been neat to see
I honestly don't know why you guys work so hard, so long, for so little, especially with the appreciation of the people you feed being basically non existent, a real days work, most of which are likely in excess of 12 hours on average and seven days a week, the crop/livestock still need care on weekends or days off. No holidays for most farmers. Thank you for your hard work and the SAFE food we eat!
@@ncdozer3103 I would hardly call a corvette for the years of 16 hour days 7 days a week getting paid. Sounds pretty minor to me honestly considering Corvettes are pretty inexpensive as sports cars go, he deserves far better if he wants it

Denis Catz they’re made in Winnipeg Manitoba Russian company Rostselmash bought 80% of common shares back in 2007, they did not move the factories to Russia. Still made in North America three plants in Canada and one in Minnesota

At least maintainence looks fairly easy and straight forward. The filters are right there under the machine. And a big plus. No expensive specialty oils in the drive motors just hydraulic oil. Can't get any cheaper than that. 🚜 👍🖒 P.S. that's one sweet tractor
One thing I have to say about your channel compared to other farmer channels, is that you do a great job of not fluffing it. There are no super long useless intros, no fake cuts, no crappy musical overlays. Its just pure farming entertainment.

I've always been a big fan of Versatiles, and this 610DT is a beauty! The engineering is spot-on, service points are easy to access, engine and drivetrain are top-notch. I love the cab controls, really well thought out. Much less fuss than the Challengers. All-in-all, a beautiful machine. I'll agree that there could be better forward sight lines, but overall, that's a great unit, and one that hopefully doesn't start going wonky in a few thousand hours. Only thing I worry about is the DEF system, though ... hmmm. We'll have to see!
Funny store for yaw! So my oldest daughter. From the time she could hold her head up she road tractor with me cutting, rolling hay, feeding, bush hogging are whatever. All we have is JD green around our place. So one day my friend Robert bought a small kubota garden tractor. He was a bit of a city slicker but was so proud of his new orange tractor. He wanted me to come over and check it out. Took my daughter who was only three at the time with me. Get out the truck and first thing she does is walks up and says who painted your tractor orange mr Robert!! Thought we were gonna fall out laughing. I love me some green and yellow and guess it rubbed off on my girls!!! Go big green!!
Love the interaction with the family. One night I was on a small farm road and I thought I coming up to an "ET Close Encounter" because of the lights shining all over the place filling up the width of the road from a combine on the road headed my way. You guys are scary stuff out there in the dark !!! Excellent video. Keep up your fun and informative videos. And yes. It's pretty !
Watching that combine start is really a treat! I guess I'm one of those who really enjoys watching machinery start that billows out black smoke. Two other machines that come to mind are How Farms Work's John Deere 4640 that 'might' have been turned up a smidgen. Also That Chipper Guy's V12 on his Morbark Chipper. I'm completely john deere but my god that is an amazingly gorgeous beast! I love watching your videos and look forward to all of them. Thanks for sharing
“That’s where I dropped the viagra”😂😂😂🤣🤣
I got a laugh out of that comment, too!! :-D
At Zacks age to have to use Viagra???
I died lmao
Probably stressed... i know with me does not stand up lol
@@farmertimothy8206 it's to make it bigger dude.
You know Zack I'm not a farmer, and I like that tractor so much that if I could have the tractor and a farm I'd by versatile! Thank you Zack
you're gonna love cleaning all that glass!

Tyler Swain 😂😂😂😂😂
@@nemoinmt I hear ya
versatiles are made in canada
All the corn stock debris stuck to the grill didn't the video of the factory tour say that those tractors had an option that the cooling fan would spin in reverse to blow any junk off the grill. That would have been neat to see
I always like it when u poke the dead animals and ask if they're okay. So thoughtfull of you!
Lol!
Yeah.. that Versatile is nice. Might go look at one
As I say from my couch in the city
I honestly don't know why you guys work so hard, so long, for so little, especially with the appreciation of the people you feed being basically non existent, a real days work, most of which are likely in excess of 12 hours on average and seven days a week, the crop/livestock still need care on weekends or days off. No holidays for most farmers. Thank you for your hard work and the SAFE food we eat!
Gooseworks Labs oh he gets payed, have you seen his Corvette?
@@ncdozer3103 I would hardly call a corvette for the years of 16 hour days 7 days a week getting paid. Sounds pretty minor to me honestly considering Corvettes are pretty inexpensive as sports cars go, he deserves far better if he wants it
He seems to be able to support his family well with him being the only one working, if he didn’t have a family to support I’m sure he’d be living a bit more lavishly
@@ncdozer3103 As a farmer I bet he probably wouldn't live too lavish, it doesn't seem in his nature to be honest, the work hard play hard thing is common among farmers, I work for a Deere Dealer here in Canada.
@@ncdozer3103 2 things: I don't own a Corvette nor am I the only one working in my family. Thanks for watching.
I think John Deere is gonna have to let you demo a 9r now to keep up with the competition. Or just give you one lol
I think the John Deere 9RX looks better.
John Deere Man they have already kind of. I like green machines better lol
They demoed one a while ago ... need a case quad now
They did already - ruclips.net/video/_7fA1_q307c/видео.html
Well they have just given him an 8rx....
Love versatile. Darn good equipment And for a big guy like you. Becoming more popular around our area.
FINALLY!!!!!!! A REAL TRACTOR!!!!!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Am i the only one who gets a smile on my face when I drive throw mud left on the road :)
Wearing your Holloween Mask during this whole video Really Scared Me! Thanks for showing your Real Face at the very end of this video so I wouldn't have nightmares. lol
We own a few Versatile tractors and have recommended them plenty of times. Great tractors and so simple to service.
Since your in love with the RED, Now we need to just get you into a Quad Trac! Crops are GREEN, tractors are RED! 😜
Case is crap always will be
I'm a JD guy but I just love the looks of the new Versatile tractors. If I was still farming I would have one or two of those. Cheers...
“Hey, are you okay?” 😂😂
The cold start remark... AWESOME!!!!
Nice demo ride too! Never been in a articulated machine.
hey, wait. didn't you say "thanks to 100k subs" that wasn't that long ago. now, it's almost 150k now O.o
You're so worth this.
HIPPY TEARS!! I LIVE IT. I work a drill rig and I am totally gonna use that at start up tomorrow at 5AM.
Love from Poland dude :)!!!
that thing reminds me of a lot of our old green steigers just with fancy cab. Everything easy to get to and just plain simple.. I like it!!
Quality made in CANADA!
Unfortunately made in Russia
Nothing but problems for us
@@JonCatchuk Blame it on the new owners across the pond .... :). We still have an old one and it's still ticking, does need regular TLC.
Denis Catz they’re made in Winnipeg Manitoba Russian company Rostselmash bought 80% of common shares back in 2007, they did not move the factories to Russia. Still made in North America three plants in Canada and one in Minnesota
my son watches you every day and he says that you are the best farmer ever
That thing is a beauty 👌
Zach, you are by far the most comedic youtuber i watch. Keep up the great channel.
farmer scottie try watching AVE
Can’t beat a Canadian built versatile
To bad they didn’t have a better dealer network in Canada closest dealer to me is 2 hours away...5 Deere dealers within an hour...then again only have 1 case dealer within an hour of me so🤷🏻♂️
Canadian built , owned by russians
Chelariu Catalin elaborate on that?
@@roostin Nothing , they were bought by rostselmash not that i have something against that.
Chelariu Catalin was not aware of that when did that happen?
At least maintainence looks fairly easy and straight forward. The filters are right there under the machine. And a big plus. No expensive specialty oils in the drive motors just hydraulic oil. Can't get any cheaper than that. 🚜 👍🖒 P.S. that's one sweet tractor
I work in the Cummins plant that makes those engines
QSX 15?
From a Tractor stand point love the colors. Looks like a beast! There was little to no shaking or rocking.
She was thinking it was a case!😂
my favorite aspect of the channel is getting to see u test out different machines and their pros and cons compared to other's
Hippie tears 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I was going to comment the same thing. Lol
🤣🤣🤣
You know it's gonna be a good video when it starts with a cold diesel and a comment like that haha
Now I know what's causing climate change, it's Zack's combine. That machine will have to be decommissioned for the sake of the plannet.
Excellent intro 😂
One thing I have to say about your channel compared to other farmer channels, is that you do a great job of not fluffing it. There are no super long useless intros, no fake cuts, no crappy musical overlays. Its just pure farming entertainment.
‘That’s we’re I dropped the viagra’ lol I’m dead
Bro.... LOVE how you are showing me the interior and get to the screen and controls and you’re like “not to complicated” haha. From MY angle it looks like I need a degree..
dose the Versatile have a reversing fan on the radiator to blow all those stalks out the front?
Wondering the same thing?
Yes they do or its optional anyway
That is one pretty tractor. Have to say, it's sure different from the ones I worked around in the early- to mid-1960s, as a kid in high school Green is my fav color, too. Glad I found your channel. Y'all Be Safe!
I'm pretty sure you can program the engine fan to reverse and blow the chaff off the grille
I guess I never asked
@@MillennialFarmer The reversible fan kicks on automatically around every 20 minutes. You'll hear it when it does.
How the heck does it even suck it up damn grille is like 6ft off the ground.
@@grimthenoble probably the wind blows it up there or sometimes when you turn at the wand of the field you can pick up some of the chaff that you turned up on the last round
@@farmhandmike I remember hearing that from one of your video's! I love these tractors to bad we don't have a dealer within 60 miles from us. All green here
Boy it’s nice being a famous UTube star that people bring you stuff to use!! Thanks for sharing
Hippy tears, I'm crying !!!!
On our new to us 9620r tractor it has a 1200 gallon deilsel tank! And also Brian's farming videos is demoing a new class 750 combine!
You should have your own late night show.
Hippie tears. Hilarious, I love it. We have plenty of hippies out here in Portland and from this day forward I will no longer call it rolling coal.
LMFAO VIAGRA!!!! And ancestors with 610 hp tractors lolol
“That’s where I dropped the viagra” 😂😂😂 that left me dead
Watching that combine start is really a treat! I guess I'm one of those who really enjoys watching machinery start that billows out black smoke. Two other machines that come to mind are How Farms Work's John Deere 4640 that 'might' have been turned up a smidgen. Also That Chipper Guy's V12 on his Morbark Chipper. Of course I also really like very cold starts. :)
Shit man you make me laugh in almost every video. 👍👍🤣😂
You are the best farming channel ever on RUclips!! Keep up the good work👍🤟
Yup! women are born with that capacity to give the "BACK OFF BUSTER!!!" attitude.
"Easy to get to, easy to work on." That's gotta to be a plus? Sharp looking 610 hp track!
"ITS NOT A JOHN DEERE DADDY!" COME ON ZACH HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO HER?
Mike Less will be proud that you drive a nice looking tractor, it was a nice video
He should get a BIG BUD tractor
fuck yeah
