This channel has really helped me with a few things. I've been playing a long time, but wasnt really taught much. It took me some time to get comfortable with this sticking for some reason, but I just nailed this at 200 bpm. Thsnks again. 🤘 Next is to really try and crank this and my paradiddles up.
Me as well! My dad taught me, but I really never got the rudiments down, and that's so important. I practice everyday and getting stronger. I'm happy for you, that's great progress!!
11/2/21 Getting sloppy @ 160 bpm. Will reply to my own comment with progress. Great video! I'm sure it will come in handy with more people as they come upon this
160bpm is awesome Joel, please do comment with your progress coz that's what this channel is all about! Progress is so slow for all of us, before I started working on the 6 stroke roll I was waaaaaaaaay behind 160bpm, I look forward to seeing how you're getting on 🥁🥁🥁🥁
11/15/21 Cleared 160 pretty well. Unable to complete 170. Alternating starting hand between each repetition. Been practicing this about 15-20 min every 2-3 days
@@drumalong4576 I haven't practiced much since last comment but I just came back to this video today. Was able to complete 180 most of the way through. Need to work on making the doubles quieter
Sounds like you might be "muscling" the whole thing. You maybe need to leave this on the back burner for now and work on bounced double strokes and then wrist double strokes. The acents on the first and last stroke cant also be a Moeller whip, so look into Moeller technique.
The best exercise BPM by BPM! Congratulations!
Thank you for this!!
We need more practice pad videos!!

Been practicing with you for a month. got to 180 today before I started having trouble keeping up.
This is great help. Mine are getting messy around 140 bpm, so I have some work to do!
same here, its the turnaround that really seems to get me.
@@krusher74Try working on fast paradiddles to get used to the switch
Great video!
I really like practicing to your videos. Have you thought about leaving the rudiments up throughout the whole playthrough?
Thanks Bob! That's a great idea I will do that for upcoming videos 🥁🥁🥁🥁

Are you left handed?
170 relaxed, 180 pushing it.
Very cool ! After the first 6 stroke doesn't it sound the same as a Parradittoditto ?
para diddle diddle? 6 stroke is RLLRRL paraDD is RLRRLL
@@krusher74 play a para diddle diddle fast and it become a roll a roll is only something repeated in a pattern
Is this supposed to burn your forearms? Cause I feel like im not doing it right
