      @@BHFabrication how far along are you, if not to far you may want to narrow a ford hp 44 instead of using the bronco one the gears on low pinions are not much stronger than a hp 30, but if you are not going past 35s don’t worry about it 😃

    • @BHFabrication
      @BHFabrication  4 года назад

      Well I’ve got full width hp 44 and 9 inch, i was gonna narrow them but decided not to! I’m going to run these axles soon once I have the funds for gears and lockers and 4 link the rear and eventually I wanna get it on 38s. But the 30 and 35s will do for the time being !

      @@BHFabrication I feel that! I’ll probably regret narrowing but the previous owner had welded the radius arm mounts on frame and through trans crossmember so wasn’t interested in messing with it for a d44. when it’s time for d60s I will though. Plus I had just assembled my bronco 9 inch on truck which is already narrowed 😂😂😂😂😂. I’ve got the factory gears in my ones still, rear has spool though. This thing has the np435 with crawl gear so I’m thinking I can get away with a season or 2 with them while I save up for gears and lockers too, since it will be fine for slow creeping, gears are expensive lol. I will also be converting the front 44 to the new jk and joy larger ring and pinion, I’d recommend you do same, it’s like $20 more but involved a bit of grinding

      I heard that ! I’m just ballin on a budget rn, so many plans and ideas and it just takes time!! And yup that’s the “Jana” swap , JK gears inside the older 44!!

      The ones I put on work better and are adjustable

    Good day. So can you list a list of parts required for this job. Have a identical truck and planning the same swop.

    • @BHFabrication
      @BHFabrication  2 года назад +1

      Ruffstuff DIY long arm kit
      CavFab 1 ton steering
      Track Bar from a Xj Tj
      Rubicon Express 5.5” coils
      Bilstein 5100 shocks
      Custom track bar mount, the parts list kind of stops where you have to start shaving the frame a little and mounting things where you want it, especially the track bar mount

    So did you convert it to 4WD? I’m in the UK so I’m not familiar with the 4.0 variant. It was my understanding that they were RWD

    • @bennettsteers9235
      @bennettsteers9235 3 года назад +1

      The UK Ranger is different than the American Ranger. The UK rangers are rebadged Mazda B series trucks while the American rangers where built by ford since 1983. In America you can get the 4.0L with 4wd and it's quite common.

    Can you use a 8.8 for a front axle?

    • @BHFabrication
      @BHFabrication  2 года назад +1

      Simple answer will be no

    • @thesilversphincter
      @thesilversphincter 2 года назад

      Not symple answer? Could you explain why?

    • @BHFabrication
      @BHFabrication  2 года назад +1

      @@thesilversphincter well you could retube it and offset the diff and weld Cs and knuckles on it but I’m not of any 8.8 axle shafts that have stub shafts that will work with any hub, so my answer would be No, even if you could, I wouldn’t just because a Dana 44 will be the better equivalent

    • @thesilversphincter
      @thesilversphincter 2 года назад +1

      Yeah I wasn't sure. Everyone says the 8.8 is a great axle I was thinking if find a 5.0 explorer with the bigger spline 8.8 then I could put my ranger 8.8 up front. ...it wasn't ever designed to be a front so that's the issue yes? It makes sense that I couldn't find any 8.8 conversations lol. Hifive

    How much your budget cost you to get it done? Or how much in parts?

    • @BHFabrication
      @BHFabrication  2 года назад +2

      1k to get the front on its own wait, (4 link kit, steering, coils, shocks, etc.)

      @@BHFabrication I got 33 interco thornbirds I bought. So I think imma go with a 6" lift, with no blocks, custom build leaf hangars for lift and a dana 44 front axle and swap out the coil spring buckets for leaf spring mounts. Reason because its cheap to modify, easy to lift and I love the classic purity of it like hard body chevys
