Welcome back to The Deco Stop! I am so happy you have found my channel and even more excited if you are a returning subscriber! This channel is all about SCUBA diving from Beginner all the way through Technical diving where I will explore awesome dive sites around Florida and the WORLD! Hopefully, with some of you soon as I plan local and abroad group trips. Hope you're ready for an epic video, on this episode Chris and I are finishing our TDI Technical Diver Certification in the Gulf of Mexico. These two dives are on the Pete Tide II and the Bridge Rubble. We are getting our certification through Below 130 Diving (linked above), Barry is one heck of an instructor.

Congrats! It’s a long journey, enjoy the ride.
Thank you! It is an awesome course and I am ready to start doing some long deco dives.
Hey man. Good to see you. 😂
Haha, good to see you too.
Just finished my advance nitrox and deco last week. Congrats
Heck yeah, awesome. Congrats to you as well!
Awesome video
Thank you!
The bivalves are spiny oysters / thorny oysters from the genus Spondylus, family Spondylidae.
Awesome!! Thank you!!
That’s Well Within My Freediving Range… Wreck Penetration Included
That’s awesome! I have been wanting to get into free diving. There are a few reefs off of Navarre Beach that are in 60 feet of water that hold a ton of fish. Freediving would be so much easier than loading my gear on my kayak.
👍👍 Awesome
Thank you!
Is there any way to make deco more productive? Like full face mask and recording a podcast with a mic, or maybe some kind of electronic device you could manipulate to watch videos or something? Otherwise its just wasted time right, i mean maybe you just want to chill and stay focused in case there is an emergency so you don't want to be distracted by anything? Or as you said nap time, but sometimes you want to do stuff right?
For sure. Deco stops can be long and hate to say sometimes boring. I haven’t had any crazy long deco stops yet but will definitely after I take my Trimix course where deco stops can last hours. I know they make underwater headphones where divers listen to music on deco stops and some have their phones in dive housings and have pre recorded shows that they will watch with subtitles. As a new tech diver I usually try to focus on buoyancy, trim, and my backwards finning. Most important is to make sure you don’t over stay your deco stop by being preoccupied, extra time on deeper stops can continue to add time to shallower stops since you are still on-gassing.
@@TheDeco_Stop Great points, thank you!
I got three more dives the I will be deco cert
Awesome!! Good luck, you’ll love it!
