I cannot praise this legal goddess Ms Hausdorff highly enough. She has provided a life-raft for me, a British Jew, as I navigate the new and horrifying Britain, filled with antisemitism, which has come to light since 7 October 2023. Thank you to Paul Gross for this talk. Please keep them coming! Things are not getting any easier, especially since UK has an antizionist Prime Minister in Keir Starmer.

There are several pro-Israel lawyers who are well-versed in the relevant international law, but Natasha has shown impressive teaching skills in this subject. And she has also demonstrated considerable poise in response to hostile questioning on the BBC and Sky News.
When I hear Natasha Hausdorff speak I am enthralled. Her intelligence, rationality and logic make her a tour de force. She also makes politicians, especially British MPs, look like intellectual and moral pygmies. She is a powerful voice of reason in an increasingly unhinged world.
I agree entirely and enthusiastically - look at the way she dismantled several BBC and Sky journalist/interviewers. However, these journalists never seem to learn anything despite the summary lessons Natasha repeatedly dispenses to them.

@@EyalHarari Yes, I know. But, unfortunately, he is still very popular on various platforms, not only on Muslim/Arab (Al-Jazeera etc), but also on "Western" ones.

How would this law of recognition of existing administrative boarders apply to Northern Ireland?
In my view? NI is occupied. But then I have a dog in the race and I really don't like the brits.
If I have understood Ms. Hausdorff's explanation correctly, uti possidetis juris is a default position, applied in the absence of any other agreed arrangement. The Anglo-Irish Treaty of 1921 contained a provision for the parliament of Northern Ireland to opt out of the newly formed Irish Free State, should it so wish.

@EGF1000 I am all for an independent united Ireland inclusive of all who live there. But I was not sure of yhe legalities which may not agree with this wish. There are complications as with the EU recognising parts of Yugoslavia causing fragmentation as also with Catalonia. Fragmentation not liberation. It is controversial as always.
