I have a new 2021, -01 updated bx2380 and it didn't fit. It was all of $16 or so so I'm not mad. Anyone that was mad about that is just a drama queen. I appreciate the update and will be grabbing the tapered one!
I've always thought that a little bit of diesel in my coffee was good navy brew. "Just add a drop of diesel to make it taste like what we use to drink on the boat." Great video Jon thumbs up.
If my Husband gave me this filter for my Birthday he would be getting it back for Christmas! LOL! That said, I did purchase the wrong filter and boy was it a dilly to get back out without destroying my BX gas tank. All good! I'm getting the right one now... God Bless ~
No need to apologize Jon, I’m so glad you shared this idea! I’ll return the first one, but even if I didn’t I think it would still be a deal at twice the price. Thankfully I’ve never had to take off the tank to clean it, but it doesn’t look easy and I love good, simple and cheap insurance. I’ll be out with the BX spreading topsoil at my sisters this weekend, volunteered with it at a community cleanup last weekend and helped a friend move 3/4 stone the weekend before, I love this little tractor! Hopefully I’ll be able to use it on my own yard before the summer heat😉
For those wanting to know what it fits and don't, Neil Messick just released a video on a few different machines that it'll fit, to include the new Ferris mowers...seems like if your machine uses that size of cap and the type without the large valve in it, this screen filter idea will work.
Hi Jon! Sorry to hear the first filter didn’t fit some BX models! But that was nice of you to find the tapered one that should fit all BXs. Using the first one as a Mother’s Day gift is brilliant, especially if you’re giving it to your mother in law! LOL!
For sure, an even better mother-in-law gift. 😂😂 Hope you're enjoying the Spring weather and getting lots of projects done. Thanks for watching. Keep on tractoring.
ok so I bought the cylinder version first , it didnt fit because of that casting lip ,I decided to Dremel it out ,caught all the shavings in a bag , had an empty tank and used a shop vac …..works great now ……all is well bought another so i could brew iced tea! 🍹 all is well! better to obviously get the tapered one! 🚜
Hello, The first filter didn't fit my BX either. Very good of you to find an alternative. I did not see the amazon link for the new one. I was hoping to get that. Thank you
My Kioti came with a strainer in the fuel filler..the first time I filled tractor with my real justrite gas can I wore diesel it sure slows the filling. But I am glad for extra insurance on contamination.
Saw Neil Messick's video on the filter first. Came to see yours. I wonder if the filter will fit my Massey GC2610. I will know soon enough! Thanks for sharing! - Rick
Thanks for checking out the channel. I wonder if it will fit as well. 🤔 I know those Massey’s have a lot of similarities with the BX series. Keep on tractoring!
I kind of destroyed the first filter, trying to get it to fit. I was going to cut the lip off of the fuel tank but, decided that would not be a good idea. Hopefully the tapered one will work.
Sorry that first one didn't work out for you Mikey. I'm sure the new one will. A little added insurance and possibly extend the life of those inline filters. Keep on tractoring!
I have a BX 2380 and made the mistake of buying the non-tapered version. I couldn't get it to fit. It was super close to clearing, but no matter what I tried, it wasn't going in. I tried compressing the base to get it to clear, but I ended up breaking the filter. Keep in mind that the base of the filter comes off very easily. I gently hammered the trim around the base to try to bend the lip inward, and the screen in the base popped right out. So be careful if you use this (or the tapered version). If the screen in the bottom comes lose, it could be pushed through the filter and into the tank.
I have a BX23s and friend has two (2020 & 2021 years ) the non-tapered filer does not fit any of them. We will return and get tapered one- appreciate the update.
I bought the first one. Still on a trip visiting parents. If it doesn’t work, I’ll try it on my RTV. If it doesn’t fit that, I’ll find something to do with it! So, NO WORRIES!
I got one and unfortunately it did not fit. Not blaming you though, how would you know some models are different. I'll get this one and all will be good.
I tried one of these in my MX5800. The filter is too large for this fuel filler. It wouldn’t fit in my Kubota Sidekick either. Does anyone know of a similar strainer that would fit the MX series tractors?
I've spent some time looking for a filter that would fit other series tractors and although there are some cheap plastic ones that might work I've still yet to come across and decent stainless steel filter. When I do there will be a video. Keep on tractoring!
Bad idea. Fuel enters the tank so slowly because of very fine screen. Takes forever to fill without overflowing. Removed it and cut it with tin snips. Made a part to fit 5 gallon can outlet. Works much better.
Just bought a new farmtrac 25 hst tractor...only has 8 hours,,been runnign fine until yesterday,,engine started losing power and bogging down..also notiuced rear lift isnt working,,any ideas,,closest dealer is 100 miles away
Definitely sounds like a fuel supply issue. I’d check the fuel filters and maybe disconnect the fuel lines and make sure they are clear. Good place to start anyway. Keep on tractoring!
I tried the first filter for my LX, it didn't fit because the diameter was to large to fit in the filler neck. I just assumed Kubota would use the same size fuel tank caps. Checked Amazon for a different size, the one issue was no one provided dimensions of the filter, could you provide the diameter at the widest part at the top to see if it may fit an LX.
Well you don't always have a funnel with you. I typically don't ever use a funnel. This strainer stays with the tractor like its a part of it. Just added insurance I guess. Keep on tractoring!

You helped me a lot . I ordered such a filter for my Kubota G-23 LD. Regards from Poland.
Lots of respect for Poland! Hope all is well.

Just ordered the tapered filter, shipping is about a month away. Great channel, highly respect the Jesus fish emblem on your BX!
Thanks for watching and noticing the fish! 👍 Glad you enjoy the channel.

Good fix Jon!👍🏝🌴🚜🪵🍁Have a great weekend!

Great idea Jon, you actually made the Messicks video also, Neil mentioned you and your idea.
I seen that earlier today. I was shocked! That Neil is quite the guy.

You did good jon,we are humans we make mistakes, miss my stars of the channel
Well Jon, in case the "gift" idea doesn't go well, I just want you to know that I've enjoyed your videos and our conversations! 🤣🤣🤣👨🚒
You don't seem so sure it's a good idea. 😂😂

I found a funnel with a micron filter. Use this always.

I'm in need of the part number of the old filter you used

Shout out from Messicks and I watched this video and will subscribe.

I ordered the first one and it didn’t fit my BX. I’m going to try the tapered version. Thanks for the suggestions!!
Sorry that first one didn't work out for you. I'm certain the tapered one will. 👍

@@ritterjon I hope my wife enjoys her coffee filter she is getting for Mother’s Day. LOL

Sorry for the frustration of that not fitting. The tapered version in certain to work for you.

One person suggested using it as a small parts cleaner for inside of a mason jar. Just an idea.

So is the filter effective in filtering and still fast enough in pumping fuel into it? Keep up the good work Jon great videos
According to a couple people who have tried it, yes it will work fine. Should be enough surface area to keep up.
Keep on tractoring!
Jon, I have 2 BX tractors a 2010 BX2360 and a 2021 BX23S The straight walled filter fits neither. Same problem with the ridge in the fuel tank neck.
Really sorry to hear it didn’t work out for you. Wish all those fuel necks were consistently the same.
Keep on tractoring!
What store did you buy this large filter ? Thanks
Excellent! Thank you for the update
No worries I sent mine back free from Amazon. How well does the fuel flow through it when filling the tank?
I got one and unfortunately it did not fit. Not blaming you though, how would you know some models are different. I'll get this one and all will be good.

I wish I knew if it fits a2019 B2650. My old B7100 come with one from the factory just like all should have
Pretty sure it’s not going to fit a B series. Only a BX and some of the zero turn models. Sorry.
Keep on tractoring!
I had ordered the first filter and it did not fit on my BX 2680. Ordered tapered one today. Hopefully it will work. Thanks
Sorry the first one didn’t fit. I’m sure the tapered one will work for you!

Is there a link for filter and will it fit kubota L3901? Appreciate the feedback
It will not fit the L3901. Here’s the link anyway…. Coffee Filter County Line (tapered version)

Why doesn't anyone talk about the filtration? How does it compare to Mr. Funnel in specs? Does it stop water?
Well you don't always have a funnel with you. I typically don't ever use a funnel. This strainer stays with the tractor like its a part of it. Just added insurance I guess.

Just remember that you don't use the old one with the ones that have been in the tank. Maybe you can use it for other purposes.
Have you (or anyone) found one of those type filters that will fit the MX or M series Kubota tractors? The hole is slightly smaller.
I have not but I have an L series that I’ve been trying to find something for. When I do you can bet I’ll get a video out on it.
Keep on tractoring!
Jon, do you know if they make a stainless steel filter to fit the kubota L4060?
I have no idea, if I find one I'll be adding it to my L3940 and I'll make a new video.

thanks 🙂
Does not fit B2601... But I can make Iced Tea...
1 qt or 2 qt filter ??
