So the greek word in Matthew for lust is "epithumeo" which means to desire. Its not always a bad thing like the way lust sounds in english. It is used in the Greek septuagent in the ten commandments for the word covet, however, which makes Jesus' statement entirely consistent with Mosaic Law. Basically, this can be translated as "whoever covets another man's wife has commited adultery in his heart."
If people say it is too hard or too high (keeping the "law") then Hashem's answer is, No, it is doable, not too high or far away, in your heart and in your mouth. Do justice & love mercy & walk humbly with hashem. I think Judaism permits common sense. P'kuach nefesh. LIFE is the supreme issue. Or when an evil enemy attacks, self-defense is required. Jesus could be very chauvinistic at times, calling gentiles dogs, sayng don't even enter a gentile city, and he seemed to desipise the Romans, and fellow Jews who collaborated with Rome. Also, he altered his message for his in-crowd. I notice he could be harsh, sarcastic. He liked to shock people. "You have to eat my flesh and drink my blood." - "I will destroy this temple and rebuiild it in three days."
How does one keep all 613 laws and tithe a 10th of all their increases and keep themselves from all the consequences of Sin without the blood of the lamb to cover their sin if they even break one law? Isn’t one law broken guilty of death as according to Deuteronomy 13? And all it takes is 2 witnesses? Or is there some manmade doctrine put together to conveniently bypass what is said in Deuteronomy 13? Or can one decide what to pick and choose from Deuteronomy 13 on their own authority as to sneak around Deuteronomy 13? Is man trying to usurp the things of God on their own authority based on the traditions of man? Or does anyone really care ?
@ you don’t get to tell me how to know God without his Son … I know you walked away from your own understanding of thy Christ Jesus but I have not myself so unfortunately I don’t allow others to tell me how to know thy Christ Jesus.. you or anyone else is not charged with determining how I can know God through his son and I have for over 41 years and through many trials and tribulations I will continue marching on ..

@@JustKate43Jesus Christ's teachings align with the Ten Commandments. There is nothing that Jesus add or subtract from the Torah. But during the time of Moses the Jews already have their way of life. Some of their culture doesn't have much to do with the Ten Commandments and I can give you examples of that.
So typical of the early church fathers. Trying to make Jesus an ubermensch, a super human, greater than Moses(???) the irony is, as Rabbi Singer points out, it’s the very reverse. Judaism is about actions and overcoming our inner nature and tendencies. Once again Christianity loses out to Judaism when shown the truth.
I have to listen to these videos several times to understand them. There’s just too much knowledge in them. And I still don’t understand everything. But thank you so very much for your wisdom and your insight. 😅😅
Christianity's message that we're all doomed (save for Jesus's mystical intervention) because no one is perfect, as proven by our selfish thoughts, is shown in contrast to the Jewish Bible's emphasis on free choice, exemplified by Adam and Eve's choice, God's forgiveness of them in a compromise which includes our labor, suffering, and death--God's gift in allowing us to redeem ourselves, especially when we choose to remember to be responsible, to be humble, and to continue God's graciousness towards others. Christianity's message takes away the credit we might earn in controlling our passions and leads to thought control, eg, Do you believe in Jesus? Do you sin in your heart?, which leads to Inquisitions and self-deprecations such as seeing ourselves as wretched sinners rather than noble beings capable of making God proud of us. This is one of Rabbi Singer's most important videos.
@@samfromchina If God redeems us in life, or allows us to redeem ourselves, why would we have to redeem ourselves in death when we no longer exist? And if God wants us to exit somehow after death, we've already been redeemed. Why does there have to be separate redemptions?? In Christianity, the emphasis on redemption after death is simply a justification to need Jesus as an intermediary, a god before God.
The Jews suffered tremendously under the false religion of Xtianity. But, the gentiles were mentally enslaved to a false idol god for two millennia. I couldn't imagine having to deal with that kind of anguish and injustice.

Jesus' "heartfelt sin" statements indeed ramp sin up to make it impossible to avoid, as Singer said. That is Jesus' point. In this way, he reveals the organics of unlawful behaviors. This is what the faith argument of the Gospel then addresses.
@@whig01 Nope. Paul said that repentance is available, but not forever (because Jesus could come back at any second). In Judaism, you can repent whenever you want to and as many times as you like, and it's always okay.

🔴🤔 @ 5:06, I disagree with Rabbi Tovia Singer here. Jesus in Matthew 5:28 is not referring to desireous thinking for ALL women. If that's the case then we wouldn't have babies. Men must have that motivation to go after a single woman, and you wouldn't call it "lust." 🤷🏽♂️ The topic here as revealed in the previous verse, Matthew 5:27 is about MARRIED WOMAN and the sin of ADULTERY. Jesus is simply saying you may desire after an unmarried woman ... but not after a married woman! To do so by your thoughts and imaginations would amount to adultery... You will find here, Jesus is being IN TUNE with the law in Exodus 20:14 and 17 - adultery and the prohibition against COVETING. He is showing us we can sin by our thoughts, and will be judged for it - Matthew 5:29. 🙏🏽
Looking at a woman lustfully is not the same as simply seeing an attractive woman. I think it's pretty obvious that what Jesus said is absolutely doable, and more effective than letting your eyes wander beyond the initial look, and become truly lustful attention. The casino example would be even better if she notices the man, then doesnt even look back for a 2nd look. That'd demonstrate control to avoid the temptation of the temptation. To mark it as impossible is to not understand willful lust.
1. I believe Yeshua was simply stating one should not dwell on sin which often leads to actual sin. "These words which are given to you this day you shall put in your heart"-Devorim (Deuteronomy 6). Job wrestled with his thoughts but did not sin with his lips (Job 2:10). Ask any addict in recovery...the battle begins in the mind. 2. Yeshua was half human. If he couldn't sin it would not have been a temptation. Judaism has many schools of thought. He taught nothing new or against Torah.
First sermon of Jesus The whole city of Jerusalem was moved by these words, wherefore they all ran together to the temple to see Jesus, who had entered therein to pray, so that they could scarce be contained there. Therefore the priests besought Jesus, saying: 'This people desireth to see thee and hear thee; therefore ascend to the pinnacle, and if God give thee a word speak it in the name of the Lord.' Then ascended Jesus to the place whence the scribes were wont to speak. And having beckoned with the hand for silence, he opened his mouth, saying: 'Blessed be the holy name of God, who of his goodness and mercy willed to create his creatures that they might glorify him. Blessed be the holy name of God, who created the splendour of all the saints and prophets before all things to send him for the salvation of the world, as he spake by his servant David, saying: "Before Lucifer in the brightness of the saints I created thee." Blessed be the holy name of God, who created the angels that they might serve him. And blessed be God, who punished and reprobated Satan and his followers, who would not reverence him whom God willeth to be reverenced. Blessed be the holy name of God, who created man out of the clay of the earth, and set him over his works. Blessed be the holy name of God, who drove man out of paradise for having transgressed his holy precept. Blessed be the holy name of God, who with mercy looked upon the tears of Adam and Eve, first parents of the human race. Blessed be the holy name of God, who justly punished Cain the fratricide, sent the deluge upon the earth, burned up three wicked cities, scourged Egypt, overwhelmed Pharaoh in the Red Sea, scattered the enemies of his people, chastised the unbelievers, and punished the impenitent. Blessed be the holy name of God, who with mercy looked upon his creatures, and therefore sent them his holy prophets, that they might walk in truth and priests for their negligence in God's service and for their worldly greed; he rebuked the scribes because they preached vain doctrine, and forsook the law of God; he rebuked the doctors because they made the law of God of none effect through their traditions. And in such wise did Jesus speak to the people, that all wept, from the least to the greatest, crying mercy, and beseeching Jesus that he would pray for them; save only their priests and leaders, who on that day conceived hatred against Jesus for having thus spoken against the priests, scribes, and doctors. And they meditated upon his death, but for fear of the people, who had received him as a prophet of God, they spake no word. Jesus raised his hands to the Lord God and prayed, and the people weeping said: 'So be it, O Lord, so be it.' The prayer being ended Jesus descended from the temple; and that day he departed from Jerusalem, with many that followed him. And the priests spoke evil of Jesus among themselves.
The commandments will change our behavior if we are willing to obey them but they do not change our inner thoughts and desires. The law is necessary but only half the battle. The law can change our behavior but the grace of God can change us on the inside. That is the message of Paul and Jesus. That is the gospel.
Jesus is teaching that it is not good enough to only accept the Commandments in the flesh - we must have them written on our hearts. “You shall therefore lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul” Deu 11:18. This is also confirmed in other places such as Jeremiah 31:33 “I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts.” To claim that resisting the physical breaking God’s commandments on adultery, while secretly desiring to do so in your heart is ‘much more praiseworthy’ than obeying that commandment in your heart, is as bad as paying lip service (Isaiah 29:13) to the whole of God’s word.

Xtianity did not really begin as a religion, but a sophisticated government project, a kind of propaganda exercise used to pacify the subjects of the Roman Empire. Jewish sects in Israel at the time, who were waiting for a prophesied warrior Messiah, were a constant source of violent insurrection during the first century. When the Romans had exhausted conventional means of quashing rebellion, they switched to psychological warfare. They surmised that the way to stop the spread of zealous Jewish missionary activity was to create a competing belief system. That's when the 'peaceful' Messiah story was invented. Instead of inspiring warfare, this Messiah urged turn-the-other-cheek pacifism and encouraged Jews to 'give onto Caesar' and pay their taxes to Rome.
Leviticus 14:2 The following instructions are for those seeking ceremonial purification from a skin disease. Those who have been healed must be brought to the priest. Matthew 8:4 Then Jesus said to him, “Don’t tell anyone about this. Instead, go to the priest and let him examine you. Take along the offering required in the law of Moses for those who have been healed of leprosy. This will be a public testimony that you have been cleansed.

Throughout all generations of Israel, the common thread of the prophets' message is that Israel must put away idolatry and turn to God. What did they do with the prophets then? almost all were killed, wounded and some had to flee. Now Joshua has come with the same message: "Repent, for the Kingdom is at hand." and what do the Jews do instead of converting? criticizing whether he is the Messiah or not, instead of repenting and returning to God. What was Joshua's message? repent! He didn't say believe I am the Messiah or not, but repent! What is wrong with that message? So because Joshua was not Messiah according to some Jews, is his message incorrect? just look at Tel Aviv. It is full of fornication, debauchery, wickedness and idolatries. Rabbis who are homosexual. looks like Sodom and Gomara. So if someone is a welder, or a plumber and not a Messiah and says, “repent.” is his message incorrect? I will say it again, “ REPENT FROM IDOLATRY.” What idolatry you may ask? bow in front of a wall the kotel. they bow and kiss that wall, putting prayer notes between them. And then they say, "We pray to God." and not to that wall." that copper snake was then cut to pieces by the king, because they did exactly what they are doing now with that kotel. Therefore I say to you:"Repent!

Being born into humanity, Jesus would feel hunger, would feel envy, would feel anger, and feel pain. You are narrowly viewing Jesus as not being human, but only being God with a visage of humanity. Temptation would have an effect on him, but I don’t believe he could have the same doubts that often cause the rest of us to fail resisting temptation.

How can almost 4.3 bilions Abrahamic religion people are saying they know the answer, and the rest NOT ? PS. I'm not saying that the answer should be , or is s simple one ! Thank you.
@GenericShowOfficial, I can't answer for the rabbi, but MY definition of God is "whoever/whatever created the universe & the reality we experience every day." He didn't just create light, he also created the darkness. He didn't just create mankind, he created everything. He didn't just create love, he also created hatred. He's not a dualistic deity or a "triune god-head" like you'll find in Hinduism & other religions. God is the "Creator." he is one, and there is no other.

“ 15 The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your fellow Israelites. You must listen to him. 16 For this is what you asked of the Lord your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly when you said, “Let us not hear the voice of the Lord our God nor see this great fire anymore, or we will die.” 17 The Lord said to me: “What they say is good. 18 I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites, and I will put my words in his mouth. He will tell them everything I command him. 19 I myself will call to account anyone who does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name.”
Whoever believes that one day the Lord will put his law "in their minds and write it on their hearts" (Jeremiah 31:33) cannot but accept that keeping the law externally may make you righteous but doesn't make you holy. This is one fundamental difference it seems, between the tradition that Rabbi Tovia Singer represents and the Christian tradition. According to the Rabbi, the more a human heart resonates with the lowest temptations (rage, lust, feelings of revenge, avarice etc.) the more that same person is justified in the eyes of God if he doesn't succumb to these tendencies. According to the Christian tradition, that same condition can only be the begining of the Path of Return, when the said person comes to "hate his own soul" according to Luke 14:26. Thanks to Rabbi Tovias Singer for clarifying that difference the most striking way.

Jesus was an extortionist. He built an argument that made everyone guilty and said you could be forgiven by believing in him. This is why he said the way to Hell is easy and wide and the way to Heaven is narrow and difficult. But that is a lie. The way to Heaven is easy and wide, while the way to Hell is very hard to accomplish. You must have a Spirit of thick darkness to go to Hell through Judgment. Thickness means having lived at least hundreds of millions of years in the flesh or technology and being as evil as possible. The Angels are of thick darkness and so is the Lord of hosts. The Spirit of Jesus is described as fiery and fire is the light of darkness. The Sun symbolizes white light, and white light is the light of good in the Spirit.
I don’t believe in trinity but I believe Jesus was truly indeed sent by God to show us the way by being the embodiment of the true law of God. I take out all of Paul’s letters and read the new testament like that. This makes the most sense to me.

Rabbi, if you can please answer my question. I understand your distinction between thou shall not covet, your neighbor's house and your neighbor's wife, versus not having temptation at all in the Christian view. I'm still not sure how you answer the question though, the issue you brought was that, how can you expect of someone not to be tempted in the first place, what makes men great is avoiding temptation. In the 10th commandment, thou shall not covet, you did explain that it is said on specifically your neighbor's wife, but how can you be charged for having the temptation and not acting upon it? If one is tempted and covets his neighbors wife, but refrains from acting on it, what is the 10th commandment asking of him?
I think it is asking for people to actively work on improving themselves. The Artscroll Tanach has a commentary saying that G-d is demanding that people sanctify their thoughts and attitudes to the point where they purge themselves of such natural tendencies as jealousy and covetousness. So maybe the sin is not merely having the thoughts and feelings, but it's from not trying to improve yourself of those thoughts. That it's a sin to be complacent about your jealousy.

Who could be a higher authority over Moses, than the one who gave Moses authority? Jesus also claimed to know Moshe's original motivation in the next verse 'because your hearts were so hard' and to know 'it was not that way in the beginning' referring back to Adam & Eve. If the Tanakh claims Messiah will be named almighty G-d, but others preach that Mashiach is merely an anointed person.. does this seem legit?
A better example would be when Jesus invented a divorce _mitzvah_ from whole-cloth in Matthew 5:31-32 when no divorce _mitzvah_ defining legality of divorce exists anywhere in Torah.
Many Christians ponder and question the differences of the Old Testament God compared to Jesus, and he said, “I and the Father are One.” During the experience of a human father to his son, soul evolution occurs. In prospective, think about how racist the old generation is compared to the new. “Neither do men put new wine into old bottles; else the bottles break, and wine runneth out, and the bottles perish; but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.” We learn very good values and ethics from our fathers, yet the good son motifies the lesson and perfects it. Is there such a concept of divine evolution? The Old says you may eat any that have fins and scales, Jesus says, eat the lobster with a side of bacon if that’s what’s being served, and be grateful for it. The Old says no adultery, and an old man could do it, not even lust in the eyes because his love is beyond the flesh. The Son says no adultery and mentions the goal of the Old. When a husband and a wife are cleaved as one, suffering and duality occur when their consciences aren’t completely intertwined with love songs in the background. The most harmonious state of being happens when living within the 10 laws. Who do you place in rule #1, the Old or the New? Either is correct.
they want people to see the laws and commandments of God almighty as difficult and burdensome thing.... making God looks as if he made a mistake for creating those laws and commandments. bcoz thesame jesus who said in the new testament that no one is to add or remove from the laws and commandments of God,... was thesame jesus found adding to the law by saying if a man looks at a woman lustfully he had commited the sin of fornication.😂 the writers of the new testament bible are thesame cult people who are trying every means necessary to get so many people into the believing in human blood sacrifice as the ultimate. there's something demonic about this human blood sacrifice of jesus. bcoz one can easily repent, but repentance is gone.
Once again to all of you pagan Christians, G-d is not a man and does not have a humasn form. I have a place prepared for your benefit, where I will hide you so that you will not be hurt, and from there you shall see what you shall see. This is its simple meaning, but its midrashic meaning is that [God] is speaking of the place where the Shechinah is, and He says: “The place is with Me,” but He does not say: “I am in the place,” for the Holy One, blessed is He, is the place of the world [i.e., the world is within Him], but the world is not His place [i.e., the world does not encompass him] (Gen. 10:19, could Jesus have sinned? The answer is yes, although Jesus was born of a virgin concived by the spirit of God, his other half was human, and it is human nature to sin. The devil himself was fully divine and fell because of sin, The Torah also talks about the sons of God who came to earth and had children with the daughters of men, resulting in the nephilims Genesis 6:4. These beings were fully divine, yet they sinned against God.
The Bible says Jesus could have sinned as pointed out in the garden of Gethsemane, where he considered, and even asked to God to take the cup from his lips. He desired to fulfill his own will momentarily and asked to do so, then ultimately said, not my will, but your will be done father. That shows in his heart, he did not desire to fulfill God's purpose, but ultimately loved God enough to do God's will. Something to think about whether you are a Christian or a Jew. By the way, I am a Christian and I DO believe Jesus was tempted. So do many Christians. That is the whole point - that he could know humanity. But he was the only man who could ever follow the ultimate law--to put God's will above his own and love God with all his heart, soul and mind. More than he loves himself.
@@dliocca7052 That and possibly so many more reasons as the plans and purposes of God are his alone and his ways are higher than our own ways. @@davidrexford586 I agree that many argue more from a hate-filled position rather than a loving one. Especially online, people are downright nasty. My own personal belief is that G-d is our creator and knows our hearts. He already knows us, He already knows humanity. He has no reason at all to come to earth in the flesh. He gave us His commandments and told us that He freely forgives us when we make mistakes. A true repentant heart is needed.
Adultery - Lust What Jesus says isn't about resisting sin. Jesus was speaking of acting on that lust even if nothing actually happens in the end. If a woman flirts with a man to see if he will take her up to his room and is rejected, that also adultery.
One of the teachings of the so-called Sermon on the Mount was Matthew 6:19 - 24 bears similarity to the teachings of Cynicism particularly Antisthenes and Diogenes of Sinope on the question of Material Wealth and achievements in life and how a life of poverty and celibacy leads to closeness with G-d or whatsoever !!!!!
Saying Jesus was amping up a commandment’s not false, but objectively, having in mind he was of the ancestry of King David, would you say he was wrong to think this way? Jesus there perhaps was denouncing the acts of his ancestors with a pre Solomon ancestral origin in mind. His teaching there perhaps could have centred around, he who doesn’t learn from history is destined to repeat it. Not written by him, but reading that verse from this angle, would you say speaking like this was wrong.

@SixHundredAndSixty-6, that 2nd commandment is not needed if you just love the LORD. Jesus brings it up to divert your attention away from God's commandments. He defines a "neighbor" as only someone who does nice things for you. That's totally different rom what God said.
No. It wasn't. There were not served fishes and loaves as the story goes. Whaat they were really given was rice and pork. But don't worry. It was kosher pork.
“ to covet “…is a sin against YHVH simply because instead of being thankful for what He has given you focus on what He hasn’t given to you and your ungrateful… like the Israelites in the wilderness, instead of being grateful for the manna and that they were freed from slavery, they focused on what they had to leave behind and so YHVH gave them quail in such abundance that they had to revisit their coveting.. Got Torah Got Truth
I thought it was because you could sin to get what you want, like killing someone or stealing. I didn't think it was a sin to just want more. I think the reason the Israelites were wrong to complain is because they did it publicly instead of praying or nicely asking Moses for stuff.
@@mangjitnijjhar1390 to covet doesn’t mean you want to steal other people’s stuff… it points to the ungrateful nature of your heart.. you are unsatisfied with what YHVH has given you and complaining against the Giver thus it is a sin against YHVH… that doesn’t mean that you should not work hard to earn things but you need to acknowledge what YHVH has done for you..Got Torah Got Truth
@mangjitnijjhar1390, the sin is coveting that which is your NEIGHBOR's. Simply wanting stuff is not a sin. Jesus confuses everyone on this in the Parable of the good Samaritan, where he incorrectly defines what a neighbor is as being only those who do nice things for you.

Excellent points in this video.

Thanks for clarifying this point about Jesus allegedly making the commandments impossible to keep. This is consistent with Paul's nonsense.

So typical of the early church fathers. Trying to make Jesus an ubermensch, a super human, greater than Moses(???) the irony is, as Rabbi Singer points out, it’s the very reverse. Judaism is about actions and overcoming our inner nature and tendencies.

In Christianity, the emphasis on redemption after death is simply a justification to need Jesus as an intermediary, a god before God.

🙏🏽
That's the point. That thinking is AGAINST TORAH. Thoughts are not necessarily wrong, the action is.
First sermon of Jesus
The whole city of Jerusalem was moved by these words, wherefore they all ran together to the temple to see Jesus, who had entered therein to pray, so that they could scarce be contained there. Therefore the priests besought Jesus, saying: 'This people desireth to see thee and hear thee; therefore ascend to the pinnacle, and if God give thee a word speak it in the name of the Lord.'
Then ascended Jesus to the place whence the scribes were wont to speak. And blessed be God, who
punished and reprobated Satan and his followers, who would not reverence him whom God willeth to be reverenced. Blessed be the holy name of God, who with mercy looked upon his creatures, and therefore sent them his holy prophets, that they might walk in truth and
priests for their negligence in God's service and for their worldly greed; he rebuked the scribes because they preached vain doctrine, and forsook the law of God; he rebuked the doctors because they made the law of God of none effect through their traditions.
The Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ FULFILLED the Torah.
Unfortunately, he didn't fulfill what was foretold by our prophets.
*_GayZEUS_* of the Synoptic Gospels is a literary character invented by the Romans to promote the recent arrival of the Flavian dynasty to imperial power, creating an archetype of messiah towards which all preexisting Jewish prophecies converged. The aim was (1) to empty Jewish concepts, hijacking the messianic hope and solidifying a controversial archetype of Jewish messiah, (2) to blame the Jews for their own destruction in the war of Jerusalem in 70 and (3) to exalt the Flavian dynasty of emperors. The content of the message propagated by the characters in the narrative portrays an agenda of political accommodation, preservation of the imperial “status quo”, anti-Judaism and military indoctrination: both for Roman soldiers and for colonized civilians. Soldiers are often the recipients of the teachings of the Gospels, which occur both explicitly (as in Luke 3:14, when John the Baptist recommends that soldiers be content with their pay, just as Rome advised those recruited for military service) and implicitly (as in Luke 9:23, when the instruction is given to abandon everything - family, friends, work - and follow the leader, just as the government wanted the soldiers to do). There is also abundant teaching reinforcing the civil obligation to serve soldiers, including obeying them for twice the amount required (Matthew 5:41). The character Jesus always presents himself as the reformer of the Law of Moses (Matthew 5:38, correcting Exodus 21:24 on the principle of “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth”) and the propagator of various Roman laws (as in Mark 10:12 on marriage and in Matthew 22:21 recommending the payment of taxes). Jesus never taught his disciples to love Jews or their relatives, but he *_did teach them to love Romans (Matt. 5:44) and to turn the other cheek (Matt. 5:39).

G-d is the Master and Creator of the Universe. He, Himself is existence. He has no beginning and no end, and nothing exists without Him.

Please. Worshiping a person is idolatry.

"E os gentios saberão que Eu, o Eterno que santifico a Israel, quando estiver o Meu santuário no meio deles para sempre." Who could be a higher authority over Moses, than the one who gave Moses authority? Jesus also claimed to know Moshe's original motivation in the next verse 'because your hearts were so hard' and to know 'it was not that way in the beginning' referring back to Adam & Eve. Either is correct.
they want people to see the laws and commandments of God almighty as difficult and burdensome thing.... making God looks as if he made a mistake for creating those laws and commandments. bcoz thesame jesus who said in the new testament that no one is to add or remove from the laws and commandments of God,... was thesame jesus found adding to the law by saying if a man looks at a woman lustfully he had commited the sin of fornication.😂

21And the Lord said: "Behold, there is a place with Me, and you shall stand on the rock. כאוַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהֹוָ֔ה הִנֵּ֥ה מָק֖וֹם אִתִּ֑י וְנִצַּבְתָּ֖ עַל־הַצּֽוּר:
Behold, there is a place with Me. on the mountain, where I always speak to you. Rabbah 68:9).
22And it shall be that when My glory passes by, I will place you into the cleft of the rock, and I will cover you with My hand until I have passed by.
when My glory passes by. When I pass by before you.
בַּֽעֲבֹר כְּבֹדִי. כְּשֶׁאֶעֱבֹר לְפָנֶיךָ:
into the cleft of the rock. Heb. בְּנִקְרַתהַצוּר, like [the following verses:] Even if you pick out תִּנַקֵּר those people’s eyes” (Num. 16:14); “May the ravens of the valley pick it out (יִקְּרוּה) ” (Prov. 30:17); [and] “I dug (קַרְתִּי) and drank water” (Isa. 37:25). [All] these [examples] have one root (קר). נִקְרַת הַצוּר means the digging out of the rock [i.e., the cleft].
and I will cover you with My hand. From here [we understand] that power was given to destructive forces to destroy [Moses] (Num. Rabbah 14:19). Its Aramaic translation is וְאָגֵין בְּמֵימְרִי, and I will protect with My word. This is a euphemism out of honor of the Most High, for He does not need to cover over him [Moses] with an actual hand.
23Then I will remove My hand, and you will see My back but My face shall not be seen." כגוַֽהֲסִֽרֹתִי֙ אֶת־כַּפִּ֔י וְרָאִ֖יתָ אֶת־אֲחֹרָ֑י וּפָנַ֖י לֹ֥א יֵֽרָאֽוּ:
Then I will remove My hand. [Onkelos renders:] Then I will remove the guidance [i.e., My guidance] of My glory, when the guidance of My glory passes by from opposite your face, to go further from there [this means that even Moses would not be permitted to grasp the essence of God, only His attributes and His deeds (Nethinah LaGer)].
and you will see My back. [Then] He showed him the knot of the tefillin. -[from Ber. 7a]
וְרָאִיתָ אֶת־אֲחֹרָי. הֶרְאָהוּ קֶשֶׁר שֶׁל תְּפִלִּין (ברכות ז'):

5:39). The Flavian Theory, therefore, not only presents a coherent argument for the literary origins of Jesus, but also highlights the Romans' ability to use religion as a tool of sociopolitical control._*
*_Some of the most enigmatic passages found in the gospels are more easily understood when seen through the eyes of a general speaking to his legions._*
*I had an insipid deplorable two faced Greek woman admit to all of it proudly in these comment boards awhile ago, very sickening.* 🤮🤮🤮
He wasn’t just a mere man.. too many are missing this point.
So, Jesus is G-d in the flesh here on earth to know humanity?
@@dliocca7052 That and possibly so many more reasons as the plans and purposes of God are his alone and his ways are higher than our own ways.
I think we argue about things not in a loving manner more than most of us are willing to admit because who doesn’t want to be wrong about anything in particular?

I agree that many argue more from a hate-filled position rather than a loving one.
2 Powers in Heaven Jews Believed this
Adultery - Lust
What Jesus says isn't about resisting sin. Jesus was speaking of acting on that lust even if nothing actually happens in the end.
If a woman flirts with a man to see if he will take her up to his room and is rejected, that also adultery.
Makes a lot of sense.
The greater test snd to overcome, like Joseph test,❤
>I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, is the Creator and Guide of everything that has been created; He alone has made, does make, and will make all things.
I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, is One, and that there is no unity in any manner like His, and that He alone is our God, who was, and is, and will be.
I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, has no body, and that He is free from all the properties of matter, and that there can be no (physical) comparison to Him whatsoever.
I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, is the first and the last.
I believe with perfect faith that to the Creator, Blessed be His Name, and to Him alone, it is right to pray, and that it is not right to pray to any being besides Him.
I believe with perfect faith that all the words of the prophets are true.
Yes.
>I believe with perfect faith that the prophecy of Moses our teacher, peace be upon him, was true, and that he was the chief of the prophets, both those who preceded him and those who followed him.
I believe with perfect faith that the entire Torah that is now in our possession is the same that was given to Moses our teacher, peace be upon him.
I believe with perfect faith that this Torah will not be exchanged, and that there will never be any other Torah from the Creator, Blessed be His Name.
I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, knows all the deeds of human beings and all their thoughts, as it is written, "Who fashioned the hearts of them all, Who comprehends all their actions" (Psalm 33:15).
I believe with perfect faith that the Creator, Blessed be His Name, rewards those who keep His commandments and punishes those that transgress them.
I believe with perfect faith in the coming of the Messiah; and even though he may tarry, nonetheless, I wait every day for his coming.
I believe with perfect faith that there will be a revival of the dead at the time when it shall please the Creator, Blessed be His name, and His mention shall be exalted for ever and ever.
“ to covet “…is a sin against YHVH simply because instead of being thankful for what He has given you focus on what He hasn’t given to you and your ungrateful… like the Israelites in the wilderness, instead of being grateful for the manna and that they were freed from slavery, they focused on what they had to leave behind and so YHVH
gave them quail in such abundance that they had to revisit their coveting..
